I worked Geri psych for a year we had a modified version of cocktail for our elderly patients. We didn’t always use the lorazepam. I had to use it twice that year. Knocked the patient out all day. I was worried about the patient hurting themselves, other patients and staff. Alzheimer’s type dementia you never know what your gonna get. We also used a lot of zyprexa zydis, and I wore it a few times.😂

Lorazepam at extremely high doses did absolutely nothing for me.
P.r.n antipsychotics worked very well.
Fun fact: Lady Gaga’s song 911 is about Zyprexa.
Really?? Going to check that out. Was on Zyprexa for two weeks and gained weight even in that short amount of time.

Could you please explain what is the problem in combining lorazepam with chlorpromazine or olanzapine? Why is it ok with risperidone?
