So how do you keep the first cut straight??¿?? This is not a very well made sales or selling point video. I'm very interested, but it's like looking from a very far distance at something I'm interested in. Like I'm not gonna shell out over three grand on something that I was in the back of the room and only got a sneak peek at
Never heard of Imho but EG50 is an entry level edger for those who do not want to spend too much money. Edger is used to trim boards, not cants, anyway. At the other end of the scale I also sell HewSaw which cuts a round log into boards, squares or any profile at the rate of one log every 3 seconds. Price USD 1 million - any takers?
Edging 3 sides creates a lot of waste that could be edged to create boards. Tapered boards with wane on both sides are a real nuisance to cut on the mill. You can square up a log and throw the rest away if you like - but there is lumber to be had if you cut boards while squaring up, and then edge them afterwards. Most sawmill owners do this by putting the boards back on the mill - which ties up the use of the mill, involves lots of handling, and is aggravating.
IMHO is easier and quicker to square the cant on the mill and cut the dimensional lumber that way rather than adding the extra cost of the edger fuel blades etc.

I gave a thumbs up, but have to ask why this would be better or quicker than edging 3 sides, slab cutting and using a heavy duty table saw?
US 3395 price is the point for sale and that it can be taken to the field with own petrol engine

This costs USD 3.295 with a 10hp petrol engine.
Soy de Guatemala, ¿Dónde lo puedo conseguir?
Me interesa esta desorilladora. Estoy aserrando madera con un LT15 con trailer y necesito terminar las tablas en sus orillas.
