I honestly loved the franchise so much as a kid. I played just about every installment in it and was obsessed with III. But when that was released, I was so beyond dissatisfied with it. It took me a long time to finish it.. it just didn't seem to have the same magic of adventure and meeting the Disney characters as the first 2 entries. 😔
Instead of building a good ending for KH3, Disney using it as a commercial way to introduce more theme park into the game. Ruining the main beautiful story, more of marketing in the purpose of selling their merch more.
I think I felt lost as they put in stuff from like, Re:Coded, which I didn't feel was that important of a game (and I sick of playing as KH1 Sora. I actually returned the game). And then the mobile game played a heavy role as well, and I felt that was just crossing the line. Mobile games have repeated charges, not everyone is going to want to play them or can afford to play them. To make the happenings of the phone game stand front and center after ages of console games, just didn't sit right for me. Plus, the ending indeed felt a bit meh. This was the first KH game I didn't cry at the ending, lol (I can be a sap, I always feel proud of the endings being a job well done but also sad to be saying "goodbye" until the next game. Don't ask, I'm a weirdo). Also, they didn't give very good songs to Utada. I like Face My Fears more than Don't Think Twice but neither is even close to being as good as Simple and Clean and Sanctuary, which just feel so right for KH.
I guess I had the opposite feeling from you then, because Kh3 is truly the best game ever made. It was a love letter for longtime fans such as myself. It brought the saga to a satisfying end. The combat though, it's amazing and it surpassed previous titles with Keyblade switching and its forms.

Im a kingdom hearts and FF fanatic. FF summons i dont think would have worked in the game and these are some cool facts. The last fact was new but doesnt surprise me, but they are some of the best parts!!
This cleared up questions I had. So Disney owns KH, not Square Enix. That kinda sucks, I feel like from both of these companies Disney would be more likely to stifle creativity and possiblities in matters relating to KH. No doubt they want Disney characters to have the best impression on people. So they'll really quality control the crap out of it, such that the corporations intellectual properties aren't vandalized. The lack of Disney villians in KH3-even tho we had Disney villians before- is a good indicator they are really flexing their muscle in that sense. Square Enix on the other hand, is a testament to video game creativity and production. I mean look at the brilliant idea they came up with in Sora. The main character could've been Mickey which Disney would've filtered the crap out of, or Donald. Now we say #Sora4Smash everyday 😂. Anyways my point is, Disney cares less about putting out a great story and more about protecting corporate interests. Square Enix doesn't shy away from giving a game what it deserves to be great. Square tries to do the best they can with what Disney let's them do. And if the game is disliked, Square Enix and Nomura is treated as the scapegoat. Sad!
It’s so very clear that Disney is in control when you look at 3, the complete removal of FF for the most part and how it has no non Disney words until the end of the game it’s frustrating to no end, 1 and 2 had such a harmonious and perfect balance between Disney and square but agh 3 was so promising but it feels like you’ve been trapped in Disneyland for a week without break from the incessant “happiest place on earth” vibes

I was hoping you would also mention when you mentioned Tifa that Vincent was also suppose to be in KH1, but they were scrapped for time so they merged his model with Cloud's. Also, I thought I remembered two bosses in KH1 being named by the community, I just can't remember the other besides Kurt. I could be wrong there though.
Another development thing that got scrapped... Sora was originally going to use a chainsaw as a weapon. But given it didn't feel... "Disney"-ish... you can see why he has that memorable oversized key...
Absolute agree, KH2 solidified the series for me. The introduction of Roxas, the gameplay, the plot still being easy to follow along with, the destiny island trio reuniting, it was great all around.

Not only were these all widely known for years at this point, but these are such entry level trivia facts that I can probably find multiple videos that not only have the exact same facts, but also in the exact same order if I just searched "KH1 Facts"
Josh is like an all RPGs nowadays it got enemy level scaling what is the point of having a level of is if the enemies is just going to keep scaling with you there's no point yes you want them to scale with you for a little while but eventually you want to become powerful that's what leveling up is you want to become stronger at a certain point

Sora is a reimagining of Gepetto's Wooden child "Pinocchio". The idea is to give a puppet a heart that is as human as possible. In Pranksters Paradise Pinocchio was told by a guy in black to play a trick on Sora. Guess what the trick is/was? And no Pinocchio wasn't lying. Sora and Pinocchio are the same. Essentially.
I had a PlayStation 2 but I never played Kingdom Hearts I play Kingdom Hearts for the first time on my Xbox One I liked it it it was a good game I had one problem I grind for the Ultimate Sword but there was no New Game Plus it really pissed me off I don't even want to grind on the other games anymore at least they could have added a new game plus on the newer copies grinding for that sword was not fun and it was not enjoyable only to find out there was not a new game plus
I heard the one before the newest one has a new game plus I think it's Kingdom Hearts 3 but I have to play through all of them without having New Game Plus just to play three I'm good I'm sexually grinding for no reason at all

For me I was disappointed when I beat the game and saw how lacking the post game content was.
