    Looks great! I just finished printing the main body of my helmet and am getting ready to make the greeblies, seeing it all piece together is so satisfying.

      That's awesome! Did you skip the support in the center as well? I think I'm about to start printing my beskar! 😂

      @keanbobeanbo1486 3 роки тому

      @@TreyEversman Yep! skipped center support and cut down print time by a few days. I made the mistake of printing a helmet upside down one time and had to almost completely resculpt the dome with filler putty. Never Again!

      @@keanbobeanbo1486 I did that upside down thing with an Iron Man helmet and you're right..never again haha!

    Awesome build! Looks like the actual one 1:1. What paint did you use to accent the ears and the back vent?

    • @TreyEversman
      @TreyEversman  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much! I used the same Alclad chrome but taped off around the ears and vent and went heavier with the paint. Those pieces are more chrome. Thanks for tuning in!

    can you help with how you set up your Cura files? I bought GreatApes Mando Helmet as well, and he pointed me to Your video. Loved your set up, when I first did my set up it said it was going to take MANY MANY DAYS not 4. I am also new to 3D printing so I am not sure how tree supports work and why your No Support Section is on the TOP of the helmet. Also do you know how much Filament you used?

    • @TreyEversman
      @TreyEversman  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there! My Cura settings are the stock settings, printing at 210 for PLA+. Definitely UA-cam Tree supports and set those up..it's really easy and exactly what I did. Saves you a ton of plastic and time!! As far as the no support section, I've learned that a dome shape builds upon itself thus supporting itself. Definitely scary at first but it works out. Have seen a ton of other people use no supports in the center as well so that helps :-) For filament, a whole Mando helmet is almost a whole roll (1kg)..just the helmet part is 770g. Hope this helps!!

    Which duplicolor gloss black did you use? Do you maybe have a link or serial number or something?

    Which 3d printer would you recommend for smaller Star Wars props like lightsaber hilts and blasters? Im currently looking at the Ender 3 v2

    • @TreyEversman
      @TreyEversman  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there! I love my Creality CR10s Pro V2 because I can print whole helmets but you can do A LOT with their smaller printers like the Ender series! I have loved my machine but more importantly as a first time printer I loved buying from TinyMachines3D. I paid a little more to get it from them but they are the best. They take the machine out, set it up, do any upgrades to it, run it through an inspection list, box it back up and send it to you. Their customer service has been incredible! Def recommend and without any sort of sponsorship whatsoever. Hope this helps!!

    What's wrong with your support settings - you could have easily used that amount of filament for a 50% infill print. I printed the whole thing without any support at all. By the way you may want to use PETG next time so your helmet does not explode into pieces once dropped.

    • @TreyEversman
      @TreyEversman  2 роки тому

      LOL..just printing it how others have printed it successfully. I didn't use supports in the middle of the helmet. I use PLA+ and have never had ANY issues with it "exploding in pieces" but thanks! 😂
