Very nice part II, thank you for going deep into suggestions. Sound level was a bit low, so adverts are bit loud.

Yes, sorry for the sound, no idea why this is not as loud as usual, sadly it is still not possible to change it afterwards 😞

I had all the Steinberg interfaces and Soundpool apart from the ADAT, and one thing I remember is the fully branded Soundpool green boxes for the SPDIF could accept a 24-bit audio signal, whereas the older red Steinberg FDI could only accept 16-bit signals. Naturally the green box would down sample the 24-bit to 16-bit. Oh and the Yamaha CBX-D5 was a pain for me to find Cubase Audio for, as the last working version was v1.11 I think. Would be next to impossible to buy these days, and it took A LOT of searching online for the ahem "unofficial" version. The Yamaha had built in DSP FX processors onboard, which were from high end SPX model of the time. The CBX was built like a tank, beautifully made and weighed a ton!

I saw one very cheap on ebay but I guess the FX are not really worth it nowadays.

i'm pretty sure there was no Cubase Audio for the ST's, only for Falcon's...

I had two Falcon 030 with all the Steinberg / Soundpool gear, along with various STE / Mega STE. I could run Cubase Audio just fine on any of those computers. However on the STE/Mega STE to use the audio features, you needed compatible hardware plugged in like the Yamaha CBX-D5 (I had one of those too!). The MIDI functionality worked fine if you did not have any audio hardware plugged in.
