Thank you so much for this (especially for the first described function in update)! Before I had to split midi in Copperlan before Bitwig to make a virtual copy of my APC40mkII (I called it APC Twin:)) to link faders and buttons to more than one function...
Thanks for the update! Not to add to the wishlist immediately haha but I think it would be awesome if you could press note and session to split the pads between session view on top and notes for playing on the bottom like the force
Hey Jurgen, is it possible for you to include a short cut button to clear the midi clip in the sequencer page ? Basically instead of deleting the clip, just clear all the notes with a button press, and sequence a new pattern quickly. Its a little tedious to select the clip, go to the other page, press delete and then create a new clip, then open the sequencer on that clip. A simple button on the pages of sequencers to clear the notes of the selected midi clip would be so helpful while doing live sets.
Hey Jurgen, going to be an odd one here but I saw the Halloween sale for a push 2 I may not be able to pass up. Currently, I use a Launchpad Pro mkIII with your script and Bitwig. Thing is, I use it in an odd way... basically I shift the note mode layout to vertical ascending fourths and then rotate the physical device 90 degrees counter clockwise. This effectively puts my lowest note in the bottom right pad (from my perspective), going up by semitones left to right, and up by fourths bottom up. So that the highest note is on the top right pad. This works as the extra buttons on the lauchnpad aren't that awkward to use in this 90 degree counter rotation perspective... but on the Push... I would expect that to be weird. I am not asking you to make a custom note mode for my weird layout, but I am curious how difficult it would be for someone like me to edit your script to accommodate this, either adding in a new note mode or editing one you have? (a virtual novice at most thing coding related: some sql, daw, mcode for power BI etc. and very light python exposure... as in "hello world" and not much else) I always knew the day would come where I'd regret my choice to learn to play that way, but it works for me better than anything for some reason, just works in my head and I find the hand position for chord shapes to be 1000x easier.
Awesome update !! So in theory those function layers would be enough to build 8x8 clip laucher with only 8 pad ( with additional layers switcher in another button or keys ) ?
I'm having a hard time configuring Driven by Moss with xtouch and 2 extenders. I can't seem to get the tracks to go left to right with all 24 faders. Multiple configured attempts in different orders. Any suggestions?
The MIDI ports top to bottom are your controllers from left to right. Which means that the left most extender ist the first MIDI port, then the 2nd exctender and finally the main device. Also make sure to select the Extemder field correctly (they are below the hardware settings). Select "Mackie Extender" for both extenders and then "Main".
With 24.1 and Bitwig 5.2.1 my maschine Jam got the failure message "Trying to send invalid MIDI Sysex byte:0xFF at byte index 16" Seems to be the 8x8 frame of the Maschine Jam in bitwig If i use more than 8 tracks, than this message appears. What can i do?
I cannot reproduce that. Can you please give some more info? What is exactly in your project? Which mode is active? When does it happen? Can you give some steps to reproduce?
Hey will it support apc mini mk2 and also will there be a 64 drum pad mode like on fire, and launchpad etc? A mode where all the pads are yellow and the last pad you hit is blue? I find this extremely useful and have a fire, x and mini all using this mode with max msp and bitwig. I want to add an apc mini mk2 into the set up as well. Reading the manual it looks like it doesn't have a drum 64 mode like the others. Is this implemented? Or can it be implemented for mini mk2? Or I could bolt another launchpad mini on but I heard this is problematic using duplicate controllers. Thats why I was hoping apc mini had that mode. Also kind of running out of desk space lol can't actually fit another full size launchpad on there.

In theory yes, but Generic Flexi has no commands for controlling an 8x8 grid.
Please give an option to make first row of sessions view to track select buttons.
Please do this for launchpad.
I love you.

Jürgen, Please make an extension for Presonus ATOM SQ for Bitwig

I hope not 😂
