I heard one fine day before and he so fine. I never knew who sung these songs, because I have never heard of this group, I learn something new with every video you do, even if I know the people or not!!! Keep up the great work WBPTV 🥳🥳
It's strange this one came up I was in my car listening to smokey soultown xm radio and they played it's so fine and had mentioned The lead singer Sylvia Peterson had just passed away in July of this year and the rest of the group are still doing great
OMG, First Choice was The Supremes of the pre-disco era Philly sound.! They were very popular and sounded great. This was early '70s before the disco fad exploded in America, when "disco" had soul and the popular artists were Eddie Kendricks, Teddy Pendergrass, First Choice, Barry White, "Love's Theme", Love Unlimited, Herbie Hancock, and Earth Wind & Fire. etc.
I saw them with barbria lee. Who i thought was orginal lead. In 1991. She must had fall after that. Then i saw. Judy Creig. .they allways did there three big hits. I wish they did more of there other songs. Judy looks lot like Doinne Warrick. And the only film footage of them is in rock film. Disko tec Holiday. Yes know body knows what happen to PETERSON. .
Amazing how many flop singles these groups from the '60s had yet their labels kept putting new ones out. That seemed to stop by the '80s. Now the labels will drop an artist who does not get a hit single off the first album; the concept of "artist development" seemed to bite the dust. The Supremes had about 5 commercial flops before "Where Did Our Love Go" and I don't remember hearing any of The Chiffons records on the radio (WLS, in my case) except "He's So Fine", "One Fine Day", and "Sweet Talkin' Guy" yet this video shows several other singles were released on Laurie and other labels. I do not understand why they changed their group's name after having a smash hit with "He's So Fine". Seemed like a poor management decision as The Chiffons was by then their brand. Their biggest hits are all classics far as I'm concerned.
That red banner often covers the writing credits that i like to see. yeah, i know i can see them if i pause it just at the right second) 3:39 George Harrison in his song THIS SONG sang "This song...there's nothing Bright about it"
The Chiffons are one of my Favorite Girl Groups from the Sixties,”Beautiful Harmonies.” Appreciate This Video.”

“He’s so Fine” had the Distinction of being one of the shortest songs to reach #1 at 1 minute and 53 seconds. Their next top ten was only 2:04.
This should be good. Appreciate your work.
I love this jam
