@@MichaelToohey hii tsi2 is computer adaptive. so the more correct answers you get, the easier the questions get in the end. Thats what happened with mine. Mr toohey’s course helped me prepare for it. i was able to apply his techniques on the questions which include algebra, geom, data analysis etc.The test is not timed, so dont freak out and take advantage of it. I really read and tried to understand each question. I study for like a week straight and a half then took the test right away. ( i graduated HS in 2013 i literally forgot everything about HS math lol, so i needed a major review or refresher lol). Try to answer TSI sample questions online cos it would help you get an idea on what to expect :)

@@animatedcoatsd6263 I’d say just study algebra mostly I had a formula chart under my camera so I got away I took the test virtual it’s not hard on the math tsi get the first 10 right to have a lot of points this gives you a high chance to pass
39 year old Mom here! Due to a lot of things, and a lot of excuses I made up I never made it to college after high school. I’ve had a super successful career in the construction industry and I’m not even going to lie, I loved every minute of it. (And surprisingly, never used any of this math at all.) :) During Covid I quit my job to stay home with my kiddo and haven’t worked since. I recently decided that I was ready for a life change and wanted to do something different. Long story short, I used an online math program to prepare for the TSIA2. It took me over a month to get through all the lessons. I even spent 20 hours in the car on our road trip vacation doing this class. (Plus 2-3 hours a day for a month after that.) It was brutal. To be honest, when it was over I had taken in so much information I didn’t even know what I had learned. I knew some of it a little but none of it well. It was a lot. Last week with about 4 days until I planned to take the test I found you on UA-cam and decided maybe you could help me so I purchased your math class. I crammed all 6 days in to those 4 days and practiced those questions so many times I almost had them memorized. This morning I took the test and ‘passed’ all 3 sections with flying colors! I had very little confidence in the math section just 4 or 5 days ago and your videos truly made all the difference! I told my husband, if I’d had a math teacher like you in high school I might not have struggled so much. So, really just THANK YOU! from the very bottom of my heart. I have taken the math TSI twice scoring the same, 347, both times. I missed a lot of my high school math courses with changing schools. I can not afford to fail this test again because my scholarship does not cover the assisted math course and somehow that means I lose my scholarship completely. I came across your videos and you are the first person to help me understand what I've never been taught. I'm looking into purchasing the full course. I have looked into so many other practice courses and none give me an understanding or the problems I truly don't understand. yallslump one it comes to College admissions, you can approach the SAT and the ACT the same way too! That’s what I started teaching, and I just transferred that approach to the TSI...

Im using my local library tsi study text book. But i get anxious, what if the reading study guide isnt enough? Which is exactpy why im here. I hope this works out for me. 🤞
To be honest, I don’t trust any 3rd party materials for the TSI… That’s why I only use official questions released by the College Board, the makers of the test… some questions made by third party publishers are OK, but some are not directly aligned to the test…
Just took my TSI today after studying with the mometrix study guide and scored a 343. Def want to re test and do your course. How long should I work on your course before I re test????
Hi, Aida! The good news is that it shouldn’t take too long.... The full course is 8 hours of video instruction, but I recommend practicing all the problem sets on your own (using the strategies I teach in the course) until you can confidently answer everything.... That might be another 4-8 hours of work, depending on you experience and skill level.... Many students can complete everything in just a few days of focused work. How can I ace this test, I have tried many times but I always failed it in high school. I want to take this test before I have to be put in remedial and how many questions can you miss
Thank you for reaching out to me! First, watch all my TSI Math videos available on UA-cam -- You can access over 5 hours of the best TSI Math instruction available anywhere, absolutely FREE! If you like the way I teach, consider purchasing the full course! Then, practice solving the questions using the strategies I teach.... You don't have to know everything about math, and you don't even need to know how to do algebra -- you just need to know enough to find the right answer choice, and I can teach you how to do that in the course! As for the number of questions you need to get right to pass, remember that it is the first 20 questions that determine whether you pass or fail.... It's unclear how many of those 20 you need to get right to pass, but if I had to put a number on it (based on my estimates) I would say at least 13-14 questions right out of 20. And remember, it is an untimed test, so you can take all the time in the world on those first 20 questions.... Lastly, I have had countless students reach out to me, many of whom have failed the test multiple times previously, just to let me know they passed using the strategies I teach (just check out the comments sections in my videos). Because you failed before means little. If you are willing to put in the work, you will get better and you stand a really good shot at passing the test! One student in particular told me he failed the test 5 times previously but passed using the strategies I teach... So don't give up! You will save time and money in the long run if you pass this test. You can do it! Let me know if you have any other questions!
I just finished the TSI math and got 343. What did I do wrong. I watched all the your videos. Some stuff was not on the test and there were 25 questions not 20. Then they gave me 48 questions. I feel so defeated.
I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles, Shay! But don’t give up!! We can figure this out together... My first question is, did you practice the questions on your own yet? Or did you just watch the videos? The videos are helpful, but the key to your success will be practicing the questions on your own, using the strategies I teach in the course! My second question is, did you purchase the full course, or did you only watch my videos available for free on UA-cam? If you only watched the free ones on UA-cam, there are some question types covered in the Full course that you haven’t seen yet, and you are going to want the full course... But more important than anything else, don’t give up! Find some prep materials you like (mine or others), and practice! And let me know if you have any questions. Watch the videos, and practice the problems in the videos on your own... As long as you can solve them on your own, you are in good shape. The amount of time that takes varies from student to student, however, depending on your experience and skill level... You really need to focus on the Day 3 (part 1) video. The first 25 questions on the test (the part that determines if you pass or fail) are most like the questions in that video. If you want to practice more, and you are struggling with the higher level-of-difficulty questions you are likely to see on the test, consider purchasing the Full Course. You get all the Day 3 and Day 4 videos, access to all the problem sets, and the TSI Math Basic Concept Cheat Sheet! I’ve had countless students who have failed multiple times before, pass the test after taking the course and using the strategies I teach... just check out the comments on my videos.... you’re not alone and you can do this! @@hannaha4171 I bought the course and study, then I took the virtual test from my school around 20 questions like he mentions in the video. And I pass, my school they require to pass at 944. Otherwise I pass at 954.

That’s a great question! It’s possible, but I don’t think I’d recommend doing it in two days (although some students of mine have done precisely that)… the course contains around 13 hours of total instruction, and you will want to practice the problem sets between the videos too… 3-4 days would be enough, but 2 might be pushing it… if I were you I would reschedule, but still purchase the course of course : )

Hii!! I just purchased your guide. I am working in passing my TSI by the end of this semester just in case i fail my intermedial math class to be college ready and avoid retaking the class with another math class next semester. I took the TSI before entering college and scored a 930 and i needed a 960, so my goal with your guide is be able to achieve that. I do have a question. The questions of the math 0300 that is the class to be college ready is the same topics as your guide for the TSI??

I couldn’t tell you exactly what content is covered in your college math course (without looking at the syllabus), but everything you need to pass the TSI is covered in the course! My course is specific to the TSI, using questions released from the college board, the makers of the test… it’s possible (if not likely) that a college math class will focus on some other concepts or question types… but this course will get you over the hurdle in front of you right now! Make sense?
So does that mean you must get all of those 20 questions correct to pass right? I’m studying to retake my TSI math to avoid having to take 2 developmental math courses next semester. I tested 3 years ago without really studying and made a 330☹️😬. I had asked my advisor before the start of the sesmter if it was worth it to retest and she essentially said due to my score being 20 points off it is a shot in the dark. I’m going to give it a shot anyway... worst case scenario I fail and have to take the math courses🤷🏻♀️I’ve tried looking into the specific details of the scoring system but it seems they purposely don’t explain it in detail (as in-how many questions did I get wrong to be 20 points off? I’ve seen some people only be a point or two away so I just wonder how it all works). Anyhow thanks for your videos-I’ll likely be purchasing your prep course-need to work on my algebra and statistics.
Samantha Vaughn Hi, Samantha! You most definitely do NOT need to get every one of the first 20 right to pass the TSI Math test! But I agree that they make the scoring scale intentionally unclear.... if I were to guess how many of the first 20 you need to get right, I would guess that somewhere around 12-13 correct answers would be good enough for a passing score, but I’m only basing that on my impressions, and my experience with the SAT (another College Board test that is more transparent about scoring). I have tried in vain to seek clarification on that point, but to no avail.... I think with some focused prep, going from 330 to passing is definitely doable, especially if you practice the strategies I teach in the course! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Roukia OmarAhmed The last 3 hours of instruction in the class focus solely on the Algebra questions you are likeliest to see on the test, including solutions to many of the questions on the College Board’s released test... I teach students how to find the right answer without doing algebraic operations, however! You can turn all the questions into arithmetic using he strategies I teach in the full course! Hi, Muhammad! As far as I can tell, it’s only the first 20 that determine whether you will pass or fail... the other sets of questions after the first 20 (if you don’t pass) are only used to determine the level of remedial math class you will have to take.

Michael Toohey hello! So I passed my TSI with exactly a 350, this was my second time taking it. The first time I did not study at all and this time with your course! So I did it through accuplacer and there was like 25 questions. 4-5 with factoring that I didn’t really know such as “which of the following is a factor of both 2y^2 and y^2. Something like that and a 2-3 questions like if 2x+1= 3t, What is t? Something like that haha! But yes THANK SO MUCH PLEASE TAKE THIS COURSE GUYS ESPECIALLY THE CRASH COURSE!

Oh, gosh no! It just means that if you have to take remedial math classes at your college, it will cost you hundreds of dollars (and a lot of wasted time and effort) to pay for those courses! But if you pass the TSI math, you test out if those courses! Does that make sense?
Great question! It’s not super clear (they keep the scoring scale intentionally unclear) but in my estimation I would say if you get 14/15 out of 20 right you will pass no problem on the first part of the test… I couldn’t even fathom a guess on the diagnostic section though… I think it depends on which “kinds” of questions you get right as well, not just the number…
@@MichaelToohey but sir, when I took the test my first 20 sets were very easy and I was confident that I was passing and I also wrote down the question numbers that was correct for sure, I only missed 2-3 questions. However at the end they put me to a second set of questions. Not sure why.
@@MichaelToohey No sir, because of the second set of questions, I sat there patientenly for about 5 hours taking each question carefully, I still have few questions left to take. Which I'll be doing today.
You probably won’t see the exact same questions as those in the course (although you may see some) but I cover the major concepts, strategies, and question types you need to succeed on the test!

You need to check out the questions from the Day 3 (part 1) on UA-cam... Those are more indicative of the first set of 20 questions that determine whether you pass or fail the test. I start with the easiest questions in the course, but that’s because you need those arithmetic skills to answer the higher level-of-difficulty questions... Make sense?
@@gettingbetter2285 education and intellect are 2 different things. because I haven't had a math class in 3 years I failed the first time around, but I bodied the test the 2nd time after "relearning" everything I needed to pass.

I have taken the math TSI twice scoring the same, 347, both times. I missed a lot of my high school math courses with changing schools. I can not afford to fail this test again because my scholarship does not cover the assisted math course and somehow that means I lose my scholarship completely. I came across your videos and you are the first person to help me understand what I've never been taught. I'm looking into purchasing the full course. I have looked into so many other practice courses and none give me an understanding or the problems I truly don't understand. You have helped put the confidence back in myself to ace this test with the correct knowledge. Im using my local library tsi study text book. But i get anxious, what if the reading study guide isnt enough? Which is exactpy why im here. I hope this works out for me. 🤞
To be honest, I don’t trust any 3rd party materials for the TSI… That’s why I only use official questions released by the College Board, the makers of the test… some questions made by third party publishers are OK, but some are not directly aligned to the test…

Hi, Aida! The good news is that it shouldn’t take too long.... The full course is 8 hours of video instruction, but I recommend practicing all the problem sets on your own (using the strategies I teach in the course) until you can confidently answer everything.... That might be another 4-8 hours of work, depending on you experience and skill level.... Many students can complete everything in just a few days of focused work. How can I ace this test, I have tried many times but I always failed it in high school. I want to take this test before I have to be put in remedial and how many questions can you miss
Thank you for reaching out to me! First, watch all my TSI Math videos available on UA-cam -- You can access over 5 hours of the best TSI Math instruction available anywhere, absolutely FREE! If you like the way I teach, consider purchasing the full course! Then, practice solving the questions using the strategies I teach.... You don't have to know everything about math, and you don't even need to know how to do algebra -- you just need to know enough to find the right answer choice, and I can teach you how to do that in the course!
As for the number of questions you need to get right to pass, remember that it is the first 20 questions that determine whether you pass or fail.... It's unclear how many of those 20 you need to get right to pass, but if I had to put a number on it (based on my estimates) I would say at least 13-14 questions right out of 20. And remember, it is an untimed test, so you can take all the time in the world on those first 20 questions....
Lastly, I have had countless students reach out to me, many of whom have failed the test multiple times previously, just to let me know they passed using the strategies I teach (just check out the comments sections in my videos). Because you failed before means little. If you are willing to put in the work, you will get better and you stand a really good shot at passing the test! One student in particular told me he failed the test 5 times previously but passed using the strategies I teach... So don't give up! You will save time and money in the long run if you pass this test. You can do it!

I just finished the TSI math and got 343. What did I do wrong. I watched all the your videos. Some stuff was not on the test and there were 25 questions not 20. Then they gave me 48 questions. I feel so defeated.

My first question is, did you practice the questions on your own yet? Or did you just watch the videos? The videos are helpful, but the key to your success will be practicing the questions on your own, using the strategies I teach in the course!
My second question is, did you purchase the full course, or did you only watch my videos available for free on UA-cam? If you only watched the free ones on UA-cam, there are some question types covered in the Full course that you haven’t seen yet, and you are going to want the full course...
But more important than anything else, don’t give up! Find some prep materials you like (mine or others), and practice!

First, watch all my TSI Math videos on UA-cam... I have 5 hours available totally Free! Watch the videos, and practice the problems in the videos on your own... As long as you can solve them on your own, you are in good shape. The amount of time that takes varies from student to student, however, depending on your experience and skill level... You really need to focus on the Day 3 (part 1) video. The first 25 questions on the test (the part that determines if you pass or fail) are most like the questions in that video.
If you want to practice more, and you are struggling with the higher level-of-difficulty questions you are likely to see on the test, consider purchasing the Full Course. You get all the Day 3 and Day 4 videos, access to all the problem sets, and the TSI Math Basic Concept Cheat Sheet! I’ve had countless students who have failed multiple times before, pass the test after taking the course and using the strategies I teach... just check out the comments on my videos.... you’re not alone and you can do this!

That’s a great question! It’s possible, but I don’t think I’d recommend doing it in two days (although some students of mine have done precisely that)… the course contains around 13 hours of total instruction, and you will want to practice the problem sets between the videos too… 3-4 days would be enough, but 2 might be pushing it… if I were you I would reschedule, but still purchase the course of course : )

I am working in passing my TSI by the end of this semester just in case i fail my intermedial math class to be college ready and avoid retaking the class with another math class next semester. I took the TSI before entering college and scored a 930 and i needed a 960, so my goal with your guide is be able to achieve that. I do have a question. The questions of the math 0300 that is the class to be college ready is the same topics as your guide for the TSI??

I couldn’t tell you exactly what content is covered in your college math course (without looking at the syllabus), but everything you need to pass the TSI is covered in the course! My course is specific to the TSI, using questions released from the college board, the makers of the test… it’s possible (if not likely) that a college math class will focus on some other concepts or question types… but this course will get you over the hurdle in front of you right now! Make sense?
So does that mean you must get all of those 20 questions correct to pass right? I’m studying to retake my TSI math to avoid having to take 2 developmental math courses next semester. I tested 3 years ago without really studying and made a 330☹️😬. I had asked my advisor before the start of the sesmter if it was worth it to retest and she essentially said due to my score being 20 points off it is a shot in the dark. I’m going to give it a shot anyway... worst case scenario I fail and have to take the math courses🤷🏻♀️I’ve tried looking into the specific details of the scoring system but it seems they purposely don’t explain it in detail (as in-how many questions did I get wrong to be 20 points off? I’ve seen some people only be a point or two away so I just wonder how it all works). Anyhow thanks for your videos-I’ll likely be purchasing your prep course-need to work on my algebra and statistics.
Samantha Vaughn Hi, Samantha! You most definitely do NOT need to get every one of the first 20 right to pass the TSI Math test!
But I agree that they make the scoring scale intentionally unclear.... if I were to guess how many of the first 20 you need to get right, I would guess that somewhere around 12-13 correct answers would be good enough for a passing score, but I’m only basing that on my impressions, and my experience with the SAT (another College Board test that is more transparent about scoring). I have tried in vain to seek clarification on that point, but to no avail....
I think with some focused prep, going from 330 to passing is definitely doable, especially if you practice the strategies I teach in the course!

I teach students how to find the right answer without doing algebraic operations, however! You can turn all the questions into arithmetic using he strategies I teach in the full course!

Hi, Muhammad! As far as I can tell, it’s only the first 20 that determine whether you will pass or fail... the other sets of questions after the first 20 (if you don’t pass) are only used to determine the level of remedial math class you will have to take.

Michael Toohey hello! So I passed my TSI with exactly a 350, this was my second time taking it. The first time I did not study at all and this time with your course! So I did it through accuplacer and there was like 25 questions. 4-5 with factoring that I didn’t really know such as “which of the following is a factor of both 2y^2 and y^2. Something like that and a 2-3 questions like if 2x+1= 3t, What is t? Something like that haha!

Oh, gosh no! It just means that if you have to take remedial math classes at your college, it will cost you hundreds of dollars (and a lot of wasted time and effort) to pay for those courses! But if you pass the TSI math, you test out if those courses!

How many questions can you get wrong on the 20 part and the 40 part
Great question! It’s not super clear (they keep the scoring scale intentionally unclear) but in my estimation I would say if you get 14/15 out of 20 right you will pass no problem on the first part of the test… I couldn’t even fathom a guess on the diagnostic section though… I think it depends on which “kinds” of questions you get right as well, not just the number…
But that’s just my suspicion.
@@MichaelToohey but sir, when I took the test my first 20 sets were very easy and I was confident that I was passing and I also wrote down the question numbers that was correct for sure, I only missed 2-3 questions. However at the end they put me to a second set of questions. Not sure why.

You probably won’t see the exact same questions as those in the course (although you may see some) but I cover the major concepts, strategies, and question types you need to succeed on the test!

You need to check out the questions from the Day 3 (part 1) on UA-cam... Those are more indicative of the first set of 20 questions that determine whether you pass or fail the test.
I start with the easiest questions in the course, but that’s because you need those arithmetic skills to answer the higher level-of-difficulty questions... Make sense?
