20:38 Those clips on the side buttons allow for the button to click even from the edges of the button. I recommend you to keep it because the button wouldn't be as clicky as before.
I can’t tell a difference between with or without, this is one of the very, very few components that I don’t bother to reinstall. I’ve done thousands this way across many models. Zero issues

one question though: at 24:25 you seem to just put in the flex cable or adhesive pad or whatever this is without applying any additional glue. Will it still hold well? Is the old glue sufficient for this and for other things in general?

your welcome, thats largely why i started this channel, there used to be many repairs i was scared me and every time i tried lookin up those repairs there werent decent videos
as for your question, it all depends on how much adhesive is left on the flex, it doest need to be really sticky, just enough to stay in place. keep in mind you are going to lay a logic board and a battery on top of those flexs, between the 2 you should be fine

Hey, I completed this repair and everything went smoothly at first, but now when I first go to unlock the phone, it wont respond to touch until I put it back into rest mode and then turn it on again and then only will it respond to touch. I didn't use an OEM lcd display so could the be the issue. Thanks
That would be my first guess. LCD screens have a bad habit of being terrible like that
Just bought the entire case for 25€ , not worth changing the back glass
Definitely, For the average person back glass (either laser or heat method) is wildly impractical

hey there, great video.! can you tell me which screw-driver size/shape is that used to remove the screws that hold down those brackets/shields on the inside. it's like a tri-wing but SuPer small....

I don’t really know which profiles to trust on eBay, but on a resale sight they have the back housing I could buy, would that would work as well?
