❤thanks for skirt alteration “dart” technique - very useful. I’m a beginner sewist. I made a skirt that was loose fitting on the waist. Now it fits! ❤ 🇨🇦 much appreciated 😊

I’m in my 40s and this is exactly how I’ve been “sewing” my thrift store wardrobe since I was in high school! Nice to see someone else using the same functional methods. 😊

Nice! Overall, you did great job on the alternations. The dog is laying there as you work. Very well trained dog. Cool. The alternation you did with the body-con 70s dress was definitely your style. Elegance personified in every thread. Keep creating Bianca. 🙂👍👍

You can still make a mini skit with the corduroy mini pants, you can use the leg fabric and cut them into strips and sew them together too make a tube and then add darts and a zipper, I did it using a couple pairs of pants

That’s so true!!! I think I’ll probably do that, because I reaaaallly wanted those pants to be a skirt 😅

Use the excess from the bottom of the corduroy pants to see in “reverse darts” or triangles of fabric into the side seem stitching so that the waist is larger on the pants so you can still turn it into a skirt. Just a thought…

You should consider investing in a cardboard foldout pattern cutting board to use on your bed as your “desk”. They fold up for storage and it would give you a more stable surface to cut on.

I love that idea, I’ve been thinking about trying to make something that I can put over the top of my bed 😁

Dude I just discovered your channel yesterday!! I’m so happy. I love your style so much. I’m always thrifting and have been watching to learn how to make alterations. I’m very guilty of just cutting stuff but as you mentioned, many materials fray :/ but I’m learning!
Sendin love from a very snowy New York!:)

Bianca, you did a great job on the skirt at the beginning. Ut I don't understand why you kept hiking it up to show your knees. U weren't making it into a mini skirt. Maybe you were just nervous, but the skirt looked really cute just hanging down normally.

Thank you, I was trying to show my boots because they were almost the same tone as my skin and I felt like they just looked like my legs if you couldn’t see where the top of the boots were 😁👢
