This content is way better than anything you can watch on TV.
To bad he’s done signed a contract with discovery
If it weren't for my kids, I wouldn't own a TV. It's all garbage.
Appreciate the good word. We are interested in your feedback of our long videos we will be putting out
@@DavesAutoCenterCenterville can't wait to see part 2.
And Dave has a Tv show coming to Discovery channel…
None of the forced drama, or fake nonsense. Just work ethic and knowledge. Do more of these. Men are interested in machines and how they work, explained by a pro. Not "The customers gonna be here in three days, whadwe dooo!!" 😂
We hear ya 👍
It’s so good to see. No nonsense just a couple of blokes sharing their passion.
Project cars can take months or even years to get up and running and guys like Dave have decades of knowledge to share.
Just wait till they need ratings. lol
@@DavesAutoCenterCentervillehaha where have I heard (or saw) that before 😂😂😂
@@DavesAutoCenterCenterville please don’t let the TV people ruin it when yall get your show!!! 🙏🙏
Nothing better than a meeting of WRENCHING minds, getting together to solve a motor issue and 2 Dave's at THAT!!!
It’s way fun to work with these guys. They’re a great bunch
I want to see all 3 Dave’s next!
Mmmm seemed more like 1 wrenching mind and everyone elts confused.. which is odd cause there a shop for diesel engines lol just odd maybe more scripted but idk odd
I like your style Dave, generous, hardworking, God-fearing family man! The world needs more people like you!God bless!
How can you “fear “ the cowardly christian goD and if real would only be into playing hide&seek or Slavery depending on the day
Pullin' up in the AMG.
I’ll bet he bought it for cheap with engine problems and fixed it.
That's the perfect car for him because he would know how to fix it easily and economically 😅
Playing aerosmith's 'Walk This Way'👍
Not the cracked crank AMG though.
@@jamespatton3720I think he leases em
You couldn't get more different than the level of organization in each Dave's shop.
lol he was definitely out of place having to find tools
It drove my OCD wild 😂😂
There's a reason they each are who they are in the game
when Mr talk, everybody stop to listen. i love it
I noticed that.
I find it interesting that Dave goes in to explain the dynamics of engine combustion and cams along with spark. Sorting an engine's issues. He does it in a manner that is easy to grasp. Very nicely done.
Thank you for the feedback. That is my hope, to explain things in an educational and Entertaining manner .
Dave, you are surely the most humble and gentleman personality out there.
I appreciate that. I try to imagine my grandchildren watching these videos and the values that I want to instill in them. Appreciate having people like you on this channel.
Love that he just jumped in and started hitting and grabbing things and looking for all the tools. Dave taught Dave some things that day.
You can’t beat the knowledge that older gentleman like Dave has. He’s not just a replace a part guy, but a true mechanic.
A collab with diesel Dave is just what I didn't know I wanted to see on this channel
I love that Dave jumps right in and gets his hands dirty. a lot of shop owners or general managers are afraid to get their hands dirty. after all the years Dave has been in the industry he is still excited to turn wrenches!!! Dave giving his son crap for not being busy and running to the gas station is phenomenal. I would love to work for a man like Dave. he seems to really value his employees and people in his life.
Wow I would never think it would be this fast for a Utah collab 😂🎉 for the win
This is the work ethic I instilled in my shop. Shop Forman at 3 dealerships (over 30-35 yrs). Forman then Service Mgr at last facility.
Another indicator of upscale shop that invests in their business is the Hunter Alignment system I caught a glimpse of.
Dave's shop is old school values, outstanding employees with his work ethic.
I love it when Dave doesn't play to the Camera
The customer just got the biggest upgrade. A master mechanic!
I wanted to be a mechanic when I was a teenager I’ve always done work on my car myself since I was 17 how I wish I was that age again and above all else to be able to work for this guy what a professional I love watching your videos and I learn something new every time I see a new video great job guys and thanks for sharing ❤
I can watch this alll dayyy longgg
Good to hear! We are interested in our community's feedback on these long videos that are coming up. Appreciate you watching.
@DavesAutoCenterCenterville keep the longer videos coming. All these "shorts" now are making people minds "numb" it's so easy to just scroll and scroll and scroll! We need sustenance!
5 sons this mf hit the lottery
Yea I hate my dad
He didn’t teach me a single thing about cars.
Yes was supposedly a great mechanic.
But I get it
5 kids
4 ex wives
He’s got a lot going on
@@fastinradfordablejeez man hate your dad bc he didn’t teach you about motors ???
But shouldn't that invalidate special homosexual rights ?
UA-cam my dad was a A but i still love him and o im a father now so yeah its my turn now @subliminal128
@@fastinradfordable
Believe it or not, not a lot of mechanics don't really want to talk about mechanics once they go home after work. Also it's well known mechanics are well known for having shit personal vehicles unless they are the business owner. There's a few that may do. My mother always said blue collar parents never want their children to do what they do and always want them to do better like become accountants, lawyers, electricians, doctors etc.
Thanks for content Dave! Great to see such a great auto shop here in Utah. I started watching you on the UA-cam shorts and so glad to watch the longer videos.
Many things can cause that carb pop. Weirdest thing ever was a 74 Olds 442 with 455 and HEI. A loose alternator belt was the cause. Rebuilt that carb 3 times. Checked timing, plugs, everything. My mentor said that the HEI pulled so many amps that the alternator was needed to keep the voltage high enough for proper operation. I was in 2nd year auto shop, and one of the top students, as was my buddy, the Olds owner. Ran into a lot of odd stuff since. Even fixed a jet engine over the phone. Not always simple stuff, starting with basics is crucial.
It was cool hearing how you started out Dave. I'm looking forward to the next video.
This is going to to be great!
A vacuum gauge will tell ya a lot on that 350. Timing, mixture, valve train condition, misses...any of the old carbed motors. Scan tool of my younger professional days.
Nowadays younger gen doesn’t know how a carb works, let alone how a vacuum meter works .
Off topic : If I knew a colleague would come I would have taken care of that empty battery before Dave would arrive .
Dave love the channel! Keep it rockin 🎸
Rock on!
Expand your own video team…why would you want Discovery in the mix. They’re probably going to try to turn you into the villain. All their shows have antagonist-protagonist angles.
Dave is very knowledgeable and organized
He's done the hard work, that's why he's knowledgeable
I’m a semi truck diesel mechanic and just recently came across your channel, this is great stuff, I really enjoy watching your channel. Dave , you and your team have inspired me to be a better mechanic, not take shortcuts and take pride in what I do, thank you for putting your content out for us to watch and learn from the best. God bless!
Pure Genius! The best of Utah.
Must be nice to have a dad that talks to you like a human being.
This is the right content…keep doing this! Get paid from the tv show and keep this going. The drama the tv shows create is so fake and see thru. No one watches “cable tv” shows anymore.
The amount of pure knowledge & integrity coming out of this man’s mouth is beyond amazing. THIS HERE FOLKS IS A MANS MAN!!!!!! WOULDVE LOVED TO BE HIS SON!
this is so good and informative ,no sparkalators charging whirlers and baby talk nonsense
I absolutely love watching your videos. It’s like you’re getting the full experience of being his apprentice without even being there like these videos have so much value to them that people just do not understand like you’re getting the experiences as if you were there yeah you’re not turning the wrenches but your definitely learning
Two legendary Dave’s in one video ❤
Dr. Dave making "house" calls! Awesome.
I enjoy this channel and all the content awesome family with an epic father. Stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Thank you! You too!
I love that theres no bs with the other shop. Ask for help..i got you and vise versa the way it should be.. spreading knowledge and wisdom not beefing with the competition. Love it!
I love this land cruiser it’s nice to see how original it is like the seats the dash. I’ve got one myself and it’s exciting to see.
Agreed! We have a second part to this video coming out soon that you may be interested in👍
I'm ready to see the cause, correction, and confirmation of this!
Coming up👍
I saw your message on TikTok...I'm almost your age but I am humbled by your humility..I enjoy your your videos and enjoy you as a person.
Man! Together you all will benefit immensely somehow. Like putting two super powers together! Can’t wait for the rest!
Dave did what any guy with basic knowledge would do, check battery then starter and play with the carb butterfly lol… great episode and both shops are awesome
Dave is the man, when a og speaks you listen!!! Young kids now days need to learn
Dave you are very knowledgable and i can see you get things done fast and efficiently. You have a great team and family.
What a kewl family, cannot think of any words to replace that compliment with!!!!
P
Glad to see Dave getting the opportunity to work and collaborate with Sparks Motors. He deserves it.
Great video.
This is how I diagnose in front of people also….I get distracted and jump around but eventually get things in order hah
Yes, must be because our minds are thinking so many thoughts all at once👍. Great minds think alike.😂
I love Dave from Dave’s auto
Would love to see more collaboration with Spark Motors. Love your platform. Entertaining and interesting to watch. Definitely would watch longer versions of this.
Surprised you guys don’t own a service truck, if I wasn’t working for my self and you guys did have field techs I’d asked if you’re hiring. Utah is a beautiful state .great content by the way!
What am America icon. Good for you Dave. May God continue on blessing you 🙏
this video shows daves years of experience, master mechanic at work
That E63s is pure class, love those things
Dave is a mecanic gold mine for me . Always clear and precise ! Love that content so much . Thanks Dave
I watch both channels. Excellent I have a 2002 Duramax.
Right on. Ready for the rest of it
Man Dave is becoming a national figure. When I speak of quality build across all platforms. It starts with “THERES THIS GUY ON UA-cam!….”
Every dave i met is good with cars.
Another fantastic video! Could watch this content all day.
Wow, thanks!
Man Dave is like my big brother, dad, and grandpa 👴 all in one. Genuinely wild
Dave is such a great dude
Dave we need part 2 ASAP!!!!
As a mechanic I idolize this man. This job is hard but I know you can make if your that good!!
1:34 time marker, Love the car and the music bro. 62 year old mine maintenance mechanic
Apprentice mechanic here, love the videos Dave and I'm forever grateful for you sharing your knowledge and tips in your videos. I one day hope to be as knowledgeable as you are.
to put in the hard work very hard work
And I bet, even more knowledgeable in many ways. We are cheering you on.
Made me think of when I started working in a diesel shop, my boss always said "rocking 4, firing one". Dave will know what I mean. 🤭😆😁🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Nice to see this content! Bought my 79 FJ40 while in college in '95. Lots of trail rides in Michigan's Upper Penninsula. Restored it during many years. Eventually put a 5.3l Vortec in it.
BUT, the best thing about that journey over the years (before UA-cam) was the people I got to meet. Good to see a FJ40 on a video, and the personal interaction that is so great!
Very cool!
Dave is our favorite person
I'm sensing some contrast between the two shops 😁
This is great, 2 of my favorite creators, I love both Dave from Dave's Auto and Dave from Sparks, have watched a lot of both of your content and love learning stuff from both men
Awesome, thank you!
production quality is top notch, way better than whats give to us through tv
Excelent content! More of this and the internet will collapse!
Two things.
Man those guys are in need of some serious organization in their shop.
As a diesel guy it always is funny to me how some diesel guys know NOTHING on gas engines and vice versa. Great content!
excellant!! two faves combined!!
Waiting on part 2, Dave thanks a lot for the videos their awesome
Let’s goooo! I can’t wait for Dave to start these videos
That's how I started at a junkyard in fort lauradale Florida 1982
We weren't to distant in years and location 👏👏
Dave's shop bays look Wayyy more organized.
One of my favorite channels to watch❤️❤️🤘🏻😎
Always interesting hearing someone's diagnostic sequence, it's when experience shines.
My first boss always knew exactly where every tool was , be they in the toolbox or in one of his pockets . His advice was , know what you're doing , know where your tools are , and you can get the job done without any dicking around , because dicking time isn't billable.
I thought these Diesel brothers knew their shit. Apparently not. Great Video 😎
It’s nice when smart men get together, help each other and put their ego aside.
Double the Daves twice the power. Everything works!
Love the respect they give each other, great show!
Dude this was a great one ☝️ can’t wait for Monday
That's just great you guys r working together. I'm impressed with what all of you guys have accomplished.
It's the Dave man! Master of engines
Props, Dave. It's hard working in someone else's turf!
This is an awesome colab!
Battery chargers now are smaller than a 1 liter water bottle and are genius chargers. It’s an enigma they get anything done in that shop with those antique tools.
Listen bro…I hate the smart chargers bc they are too smart for their own good…if I wanna send power to some thing I want the power to go… not some nonsense telling me the the battery is bad or some crap… and those small chargers don’t put out the amps I need
@@tjlovesrachel yep a battery below 10.5v often wont turn a smart charger on. yet the old transformer types dont care. that one was also a start/charge unit probably was 12 and 24v and has serious output. and do so for hrs on end.
yes my electronic projecta unit can still trickle feed a dead flat battery but it cant boost and it 12v only and 16 amp output
@@chrisforgan731 exactly
Great men all through to the end!!!!!!
Heck yeah awesome collab!!
Congrats.
Enjoying the ride.
Thanks!
"Get busy there is always something to be done", my head mechanic😂
Excellent work and content. I hope Discovery pays and treats you all well when the show starts
Very cool. In 1976 just out of high school I bought a 69 FJ 40 w/ original engine, but it had a two barrel Rochester carb previous owner, put on to replace the original one barrel but never ran right. Three On the tree, of course. I so wish I had that back. Got rid of it about a year and a half later. I heard a lot of people pulled those engines and put 350s in them. But great memories of mine. In my old age, I’d love to get one again restored already, of course.
Once I scratch the right lottery ticket that is. LOL thanks for posting this Dave and love your explanations.
Dave is the real deal💪🏽
Absolutely enjoyed this video! Just real stuff between two gear heads.
Like the way Dave explains how things work and operate, thank you sir, can't wait for your upcoming series .
Thanks for watching!
Dave I love the V12 sounds on your map that is fantastic .
Thanks, I'll make sure the editor knows👏👏
@@DavesAutoCenterCenterville Dave you are a Formula 1 fan probably just as much as I am we remember when Formula 1 sounded real instead of what we have today ( they sound like vacume cleaners ) so tell your editor any time you put on sound effects let's Listen to the good old days of the V/10 and the V/8 and especially V/12 engines , those were the Real engines during the Real days in Formula 1 .
