- A great day of hike we walk on Trail 1 and visit a tea plantation. And again met the most great peaple and got a suprise ride.

Please do update us. It was a great hike, a forest we never had seen before.
That plant is called pitcher plant. The mossy forest is put walkways and barbed wires because the authority doesn't want people to trample on the mossy ground and disturb the plants because of the unique vegetation higher up compared to the jungle that you went through earlier.

you guys are so brave. If it was me I'll be thinking mosquitos, snakes, spiders bugs and every creepy thing in the jungle.😅😂🤣. Speaking of season Eid just ended its a major holiday that people celebrate up to a month and most people spend time with family and friends.
We know that there is a lot of animals in jungles/forests but rarely see any and you can’t live in fear ❤️🫶
The forest/jungle around that area (Perak/Pahang) is the 3rd oldest jungle in the world, after Daintree Rainforest Australia and the Borneo Rainforest. your vlog is stunning capturing the nature around there. stay safe always ! 💛💛

Not that we know of, we didn’t see any. Have a great hike in this awesome area 👍

Due to the rain forest wet and damp condition, there's always a lot of leeches. To avoid those leeches from biting you, all you have to do is to spray insecticide (Baygon the best) on the outer of your boots before going jungle tracking.

Must bring a bottle of water when you both going to trekking.. Afraid you be dehydration because take a couple oh hour to finish.. Don't take easy of this.. Take one small bag fill it with chocolate n a bottle of water..

Such a wonderful hiking video yet again! I specifically enjoy the teasing talk between you two 😂 Very cute couple but it’s naughty that Dan teases Anna every now and then. Such a beautiful Trail number 1, with birds chirping and insects making their calls. I feel soothed watching this already. And the dog.. so lost in its thoughts! Love watching that dog, so cute. Nice local couple who helped collect thrash left there by others (😩). Hope Anna you were ok even when you fell on your bum 😅

Actually those peeps that go hiking would usually go in groups since it is advised by our local authorities. So these people usually have a group chat/telegram and it is understandable that you didn’t find anyone there. Most of them would rather go early in the morning to watch the sunrise and some would prefer during school holidays.

Great adventure.. if you interested some more adventurous and interesting exploration and views visit the Belum Forest and Tasik Banding in Gerik, Perak.. it's one of the oldest rainforest in the world and a virgin rainforest ofc..

Some Westerners wear flip flops for trails. Not advisable.
Yup agree. I've seen foreigners going into the jungle thinking it is like walking in the park. Inappropriate dressing plus didn't even carry any emergency provisions.
@j ms yeah, when I advise them, they still stick to flip flops on other hikes. Silly people destined for injuries.

We always wear our hiking boots. So good dressed!
Nice kindly bring along simple first aid kit & bottles of water.. be prepared for the unexpected

U trained enough on the mountain in west Malaysia..its time for mount kinabalu sabah borneo west Malaysia..the highest peak in south east asia..😄
We planing to go to Borneo 😃 but fyi Mount Kinabalu is not the highest peak 😉

Hi Dan Anna , try out hiking at my hometown popular hill call Bukit berekeh sg siput after hiking go to POS yum Lata penyeh waterfall and stay a night at kuala mu camp site . Guarantee you will like it very much.

Hahahaha almost choked on my nooddle when anna asked "people visit Cameron Highlands...what do they doooo?" If Malaysian mostly we go up there to just chill and rest and then off to day market for fruits vege and flowers...then to the night market for food...the only hike is to the tea plantation cafe for more food 😂
But a jungle hike is good for relaxing 🫶

If you are coming back to KL and looking for a leisurely hike place i'd recommend bukit gasing trail..i go there once every few months...
