The CONTEXT in which a word is used clarifies what it means - even if has multiple meanings. The Mutashabehath that the Quran mentions are not time bound - ie discoverable. They are beyond the reach of man’s perception - they are not just unknown they are unknowable . Eg Heaven , Hell , God’s throne - so no future scientist , however brilliant cannot fathom their reality.

Dear Professor sb as you mentioned in your introductory note that one needs more then basic understanding of the Quran in order to grasp the abc of such subject. Otherwise there is a high likely hood that one maybe misguided. In my humble opinion these kind of discussions should be limited to an academic environment . Frankly you talk at a very high sophisticated level and I wonder that any of your live audience has the capability of comprehending that. One way to know is to take an exit poll with some basic questions about the topic under discussion. My suggestion, humbly, would be to take more questions by the average person in the audience rather than giving long lectures. I am sure there are other venues and the audience for the more in depth discussions. Going by the video shots of the audiences in vast majority of your lectures, seems like they are only there for the lunch! Have a nice day and may Allah bless you.

Quran pak mai hai k Allah kisi insan pr us k bardasht sy ziada boj ni dalta dosri jaga bardasht sy ziada boj sy panah magi hai k jin logo pr pehly bardasht sy ziada boj dala tha hmhy un mai sy na krna. Kindly professor sb reply.

Salam alaikum wr wb, my question is that which Allah's name from these Muqatta'at 1) Kaaf se Konsa naam. 2) Yaa se Zittol??? 3) Suad se Sadiq. Sadiq isn't Allah's name. May be I heard incorrectly @ 1:25:52 onwards. Please advise. JazakAllah
Al Muta'al is the closest from the 99 names of Allah. May be i heard Zittol incorrect?
