Probably when Sean started hard drinking at 9 years old. Or when Alex’s mom was being abused and also being mentally abused by her own head. Alex took care of her mom her whole life, which probably led her into a cycle of taking care of everyone else, and being that rock for people, and when she would falter anytime someone else could do that for her. So Sean became the rock(albeit a very unstable one) and took over everything: the relationship, the finances, who she could be friends with, her relationship with her parents, everything. Sean obviously had his own problems. You never hear anything about his dad, so we can assume he’s either absent or dead, his mom was a junkie who never really took care of him, and her history of substance abuse might have been passed down to him. If you ask me where it wrong, it was probably a couple generations back.
Sean needed therapy for his anger issues. Not only rehab. He blamed his drinking for the anger issues when it was the traumatic things that happened to him. He probably needed antidepressants. Depression can lead to anger issues aswell.
1:13 I wasn't prepared for this. This scene triggered me. 😢
I know, it was so difficult to watch...especially when Maddie walked in 😭
Great work 😍 love this song
What sucks about this is trying to pin point where it all went wrong

It was always wrong, but at one point there where here for each other, the needed a lot of individual and couple therapy
