- Most of Rogue's bumpers have gone up in price as of 1/22/21. The best deal is still Mil-Spec echos or Fleck plates.

I'm impressed that this picnic folding table can hold up 120kg plus weight.
I have now changed my mind on what plates to get. This review channel is always top notch. I’ve bought a lot of products cuz of u. Thanks and keep reviewing💪🏽
Thanks man
Thank you for this video! Best bumper plate review I have seen so far.
I like the rogue color echos. They're the perfect balance of aesthetic, price, and thinness imo
Thanks for the video!! It’s overwhelming looking at all the different options on Rogue
Great review Joel! Appreciate the insight on the flooring. Went with the Hi-Temps and they are great for my needs, cost effective and made in the USA!
Awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to go through each plate.
I've been waiting for this for a while. Great work.
Thank you!
Just stumbled across your channel! Thanks for the in depth review!
Thanks for the in depth review.. I am now confident in what I want to buy.. good looking out 🤙
Fantastic video.
The coloured Echo ones are actually the cheapest bumper plates on the Rogue Australia website (V1 I imagine. No fleck plates are available, except some crumb ones that are more expensive. I prefer the standard colours).
HG are next most expensive, and the least expensive are the iron plates.
They do look the cleanest. Colour-coding is pretty cool. I like that the lettering stands out.
I like all-black, but the other options look too much like a pile of tires or something (vibes-wise. The marks and stuff).
The more important thing is that the other options can have a really strong rubber-smell that can sometimes just not go away (particularly for people with sensitive smell at least). The hard virgin rubber ones seem to have hardly any smell and they air out way quicker (I also lift in a room, so it's more relevant for me).
I see you left a comment where you said you haven't have any issues with smell, so that's good. I wonder why some are nauseatingly bad for months, and others are completely fine. Maybe the sun or something.
17:37 - That is a nice car
This video was great. Thx man. Enjoy the content.
Love my mil spec echo plates so far thanks to you 🙏
glad to help
Great comparison. Thank you for this.
Love my Vulcan Urethane bumpers. Thin like iron, accurate within 1%, tight tolerance, durable AF, dead bounce... suuuuper loud on the drop though.
order the mil spec echo weight set today! there’s free shipping, i got the 260lb set for $610 total to california 🤯
Love the Mil Spec. I like the low key black lettering rather than Rogue sprint everywhere.
I think they look super clean!
Makes me feel good about just having bought a set of Echo V2.
Enjoy those plates!
Awesome and right on time video Joel...just ordered some MIL Spec Echos. Hope the 25s come back in stock soon.
That might be my fault....I orders 3 pairs of 25s and 3 pairs of 45s....sorry
@@nyckhutch4347 doh! *shakes fist* lol
@@DannyPimienta lol....honestly so glad I got them they just showed up today....so I can finish my peak week
@@nyckhutch4347 nice! I’ll keep stalking until I find those 25s. Enjoy! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
@@nyckhutch4347 just ordered a pair of 25s and 10s to start :D
I love my US Mil Spec Bumpers, they came in last week and are VERY ACCURATE. I got 1 pair of each size and all but one 45 was .2lbs OVER. The one 45 was 44.2lbs while the other was 45lbs exactly 😳. Pretty accurate for me 🤷♂️✌️
Me too the 260 set free shipping too
how bad is the smell?
@@ozziejin at first they do smell like new tires but after you use them they won’t. I love them.
This page needs more follows. Good content!
Just ordered ROGUE MIL SPEC ECHO BUMPER after watching this :D, shipping is killing me though :(
Did they smell when you got them ?
i love spending my time on youtube
Really enjoying your reviews... Any chance you could review the Rogue loadable dumbbells? Would love to know your thoughts.
I have 530 lbs of HGs. Love them expect for their thickness. My 55s are 3.75” thick. I have a pair of 100 lb irons for heavy deadlifts if needed. I would trade all of my HGs for Echo v2s, but only because they’re narrower. I had Hi-Temps, which are even thicker but I hated how high they bounced.
I just dropped $13,000 on rogue equipment in September!! Excited but still waiting for it to ship!!
Damn what did you buy!?
@@media6969 stay tuned!! When it finally arrives I will show you!!
@Liu Kang Lolol hopefully!
I've got a set of HG bumpers. They work well. I just need more Iron plates.
Pro tip: buy echo v2’s. Paint the text with color coded paint pens. Wrap color coded electrical tape around the edge.
Still gonna be lbs tho lol
Bought 350 lbs of bumpers from diamond pro for like 480 right when lockdowns happened. Best 480 i have spent since all this price gouging
Diamond Pro=Us Milspec haha, great bumpers. Been using them in my gym for the last 6 years
Just bought a package deal from rouge only place where I could find weights and bar the free shipping made it cheaper then other places
I have a couple mil spec echos and the hub tolerance to the barbell sleeve is so poor compared to any other bumper plate that I own.
Nice, what brand name trap bar are you using if you don’t mind me asking ?
Thank you for the great review! Would you recommend getting a thicker 10 & 15# plate if I plan on getting the MIL Spec Echos for the larger plates or better to stick with all the same style?
I think the MS echo plates are just fine...only if you wanted to drop them by themselves, which I’d recommend not doing
@@AMRAP Ok thank you!
maybe they restock everyday..in USA. Cause in europe it is at least 3 months that i ve been waiting for those echo bumpers to restock and still waiting..
It's ugly out there for deals. Price per pound is really the way to compare them! Great video...
I've found that if you can find any bumpers for $2/lb, including shipping, it's a good deal!
Nomaan Alwi I found bumpers but on backorder....but better than nothing. But I am not picky in my bumpers
@@nomaanalwi9495 I’d agree, I think $2/lb shipped is smoking and 2.5/lb shipped is decent for bumpers
What shirt are you wearing here the fit is fire!!
Any reviews on rogue training plates?
Awesome!
What type of mat are you using on the driveway? and where can I get it? -I need something more mobile than stall mats.
Would like to see you review the Luxiaojun E1 bumper plates. Just received mine today and they are awesome. Free shipping on sets, and mine are flawless quality. Extremely similar dimensions to the Rogue Mil spec echo. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are made by the same manufacturer.
Just got mine today too. I really like the feel of them.
@@AMRAP that’s awesome! Looking forward to seeing them in a future video. I got their M1 barbell and it is damn nice too.
Awesome video! Can we get one for the machined/steel plates?
I’ll see if I can get some. Right now I only have deep dish and 6 shooters.
Question about what you said about drop pads. I got the Luxiaojun E1 rubber bumpers. My floor is Titan rubber tiles 2ftx2ft, which I think are one inch thick. They are used in Titan's platforms. Could a concrete garage floor still be damaged? Would drop pads be better than getting another pair of tiles that I could throw down (which would be cheaper, $60 vs $150)?
That should be fine. Rubber pads like that are designed around absorbing shock. Playground tiles work well too.
For a home basement gym. Bumper plates or urethane coated plates?
Could I safely use my two pairs of 5/8” Eleiko J-Cups on the 1” holes 🕳 of the Griffin Power Rack behind you? Thx Joel.
I don't think so, it'll probably fit loose.
i never thought about diameter. I have the baseline rogue steel plates and the 45s are 17.5 inches (445mm) but the bumpers (except the hi temp) are 450mm, why the heck they do that?
Hey Joel,
Have I missed it or will you be reviewing the Griffin GR3 rack behind you? Looks great, and price sounds good, but I can't find any reviews anywhere!
Yeah I will, just been swamped but I hope to have it out this month. Highly recommended!
@@AMRAP Great, thanks! Looking forward to learning more!
Arrived in perfect condition.
In the EU store they don't have ROGUE Mil-Spec echo's but there is something called ROGUE HG 2.0 Bumper plates. Are they the same thing? Thanks!
HG's are a little better quality, but they're thicker and more expensive. I like them better either way.
is the mil spec echos 2 inch plates?
How are Lu E1 plates compared to V2?
I need the fleck plates 😫
Are you going to review the Rogue urethane bumper plates?
I could but they’re basically identical to the American Barbell plates I already did a review on. The difference is the center hub, which are like the original AB plates/titan plates.
Yo bro ! What is the name of that blue squat rack ??
It's only natural for bumper plates and rogue bars to have a wear and tear/patina, right?
I've had my equipment for eight months and there's some kinks, smears, and nicks on my bar and plates.
Yep. Urethane plates is more scratch/scuff resistant than rubber plates. And barbells… we’ll they’re metal so yeah they’ll get beat up pretty easily too.
No comparison with competition style bumpers like the black edition?
That’s not really something people are cross shopping with normal bumpers. I’ll do separate videos on comp plates.
What are your thoughts on the griffin bumper plates?
Haven’t tried them yet, maybe soon. If it’s anything like their bar and rack, they gotta be good.
I got the crumb, mil spec bumpers (45s). One was 44.4 and the other 45.2. Close enough.
Another underrated aspect of mil spec crumbs is that the diameter is 450mm instead of ~445mm for the regular hi-temps. This solves the mismatch problem that you normally get with hi-temps.
What are those straps called you put around the bumper plates when doing the 400 squat? I need those
Resistance bands. 10/10 would not recommend lol
@@AMRAP oh shit thought they were something special
Are the Mill spec echo bumper, Olympic plates or standard?
They’re all Olympic
FYI: October 2021, i just got free shipping on a Mil Spec set. $2.5 per lbs with tax
Anyone catch what make/model that blue half rack he used is? Looks like a Rogue HR-2, but they don’t make colored variants, I thought?
It’s the Colorado strength Rex half rack
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out. Do you prefer it over the HR-2 (if you’ve tried an HR-2)?
Which ones would you recommend to use outside of my garage directly on asphalt?
Either HiTemps or Milspec Crumbs
@@AMRAP unfortunately we don't get either here in Europe. What about H.G. 2.0 or the RR bumpers?
Do Urethane bumpers damage floors?
Realistically all bumpers can. The rogue/titan/1st gen AB were actually pretty bouncy though so I’d say they’re a little easier on the ground.
what do you use for your gym flooring?
Some crappy stuff from Rubbercal- I would recommend elephant bark rolled flooring or horse stall mats
@@AMRAP Thanks, I appreciate it!
What rack is that? Are you able send me link the black one behind you
griffin.fitness/#amrap
It’s the gr3
How tall is that squat rack from Griffin
92"
Just get the IWF comp bumber plates
I’ve got a set...not really what I’d req for most people though
for me (europe) buying them individually turned out to be cheaper than buying bundled.
which ones did you buy bro?I visit their site everyday waiting for those echos to restock but naahhh..I am thinking maybe to buy the black training kg plates with the color stripes
wow
Me watching this after having my Rogue HG 2.0 delivered :(
Still great plates. Just costs a little more.
@@AMRAP I went with them, due to be able to buy a full set with a bar and collars for $800 after tax and shipping was free.
Great review
Any of these don't smell like a toxic tire factory?
Nope, haven’t ever had a problem with rogues
I recently purchased the HG 2.0 bumper plates, and they smelled kinda like old cigarette butts. I thought it was from them being on a boat from China and the sailors were smoking in the cargo hold during the voyage.
Can i drop the echo plates 10kg??
Yes
No timestamps? :/
I want to see expensive vs cheap stuff. I am in the minority that I want to pay less
Nothing's even cheap anymore unless you're getting local deals. Most places are selling at 2.2/lb up compared to Rogue's plates which all land around 2.3-2.7 depending.
@@AMRAP i know. Im just saying there are no youtube reviews in cheaper stuff like replica leve belts from ebay etc. Everyone on youtube only reviews super expensive stuff but there is a niche market for other products
Hello, Can you help me please find a supplier in the US for Rouge Equipment? an Email would be great. Thank you!
