3:59 I had this happen to me. The first time I saw his laser breath attack, the music synced perfectly with it. I literally froze in my seat in pure awe and disbelief, and I died immediately of course.

Bayle is easily my new favorite Fromsoft boss without question, he's just too cool.
I‘m so glad I got that moment on my first kill, my whole body was shaking. Bayle is absolute peak, his design, build up and attacks just go so hard (plus Igon‘s lines ofc)

Fromsoft finally did it. They made a dragon more epic than Midir.
That was one of my biggest wishes for the dlc. The darkeater is finally dethroned

Giving dragons Anime Laser Breath was a great decision by Fromsoftware.

I live approximately 2 Seconds per attempt in this battle and have not defeated him yet, so I watch these to see what it feels like
I love how bayle is just the incarnation of pure hatred, he feels like a hellish force of nature unleashed upon us.

Absolutely agree, I’m so happy we finally got a dragon that surpasses Midir in spectacle while also having his engaging go-for-the-head mechanic. Bayle is getting a top spot in my list for sure, 10/10
My new favourite boss, everything about him, the visual design, the moveset, the buildup, and my god the music. Tai Tomisawa is such an insanely talented composer, did all my favourite tracks in elden ring. Nice fight btw, well played.

I prefer Miyazawa. I think he's the true MVP of the Elden Ring soundtrack, though Tomisawa is definitely 2nd.
@@Al-ji4gd yeah the OST’s for promised Consort, Midra and Dancing Lion blew me away. I do really like Saitoh‘s tracks too (Messmer, Romina, Putrescent) and Tanizaki‘s theme for the Leda Squad Fight gave me chills
The fight just isn't the same without Igon.
I honestly don't care if people think summoning is cheating or not, some fights are MEANT to be experienced with summons, like Starscourge Radahn and Bayle.
I just didn’t know at the time and I don’t think I even realized his sign was in the arena. It‘s not about cheating for me, I just don’t like when aggro gets split and the healthbar gets buffed on my first experience. It was still an incredible fight solo, kinda wish we could just get igons voicelines. I’m gonna summon him on my refight for sure tho
Weirdly I personally prefer this fight without Igon, his voice lines get aggravating after a while, though I appreciate the story itself behind it. I also find the fight feels better solo on most builds.
@@cerioth5648 I can see that, especially when you’re still learning the moves and die more often. I prefer learning the boss moveset solo first too. I’m glad I got both experiences, coming back to fight with igon on my second run was a blast

Watching this boss battle without a HUD was a real treat. When I fought and defeated Bayle earlier today, I had my eyes laser focused on my health/fp bars and the boss’s bar, trying to just stay alive and striking when I could. Doing that, you lose sight of just how epic these Elden Ring boss battles are, particularly this one. Seeing the battle presented cinematically in this video reminded of that, and of the incredible journey I’ve had both in the base game and now the dlc. Thanks Veloketh for a great video!
Congrats for defeating him, he surely is a challenge, and thank you so much for this comment! Adrenaline and tension run high in these hard boss fights and require lots of concentration, so sometimes we just lock in with a kind of tunnel vision. I had a similar feeling with my first win against Malenia, so it’s been nice making these videos for others (and myself) to just sit back and enjoy the spectacle of a boss they enjoy. I’m glad the fight could convey that epic feel of facing bayle to u, makes me happy I did it

Bayle is very, very similar to Midir in many of his movies... but, I have to say, much more epic.
same, among all his bombastic nuke attacks this one stands out as one of my favorites, it’s like he’s pirouetting on his one leg
I gotta agree, I especially appreciate that bayle only has one move where he goes flying and spits fire at you and it’s somehow the most epic attack in the game, while the aerial fire moves in DS3 are more annoying and tedious

People getting mad at you and disliking cause you didn't summon igon are full of it. His summon sign should've been outside the boss room instead of inside, it's so easy to miss. Great job on the video 👍 That music sync at 3:59 was peak.
@@danielt.9586 I don’t mind I think some people are just memeing lol, the video has like 1% dislikes which is totally fine. But yeah the summon sign is hard to spot and it can also get annoying to summon depending on what move bayle is gonna start with

3:59 was awseome. I wish they made bayle do 3 lasers though. One downwards to the right (in game), then one upwards to the right, and then the one that shoots down (in game)

I will look for Radahn (Promised Consort) on your Channel, to get the holy Nuke, the TP/fast combos, and the Holy Triple Meteor (every video i found, people just don't look at the Holy Meteor....)
Thanks, glad you like it! That’s pretty much exactly what I’m trying to do, capturing these epic and beautiful bosses while playing as well as I can. I’m currently on my second run and I’m already looking forward to do no HUD Consort Radahn. I do wanna show off the holy nuke as well, I gotta find a good way to avoid it while also being able to fully see everything that’s going on. On my first kill I was too busy trying to survive lol
@@Veloketh i think just running away with the camera looking at it should work ! I will do my own versions of the fights with no HUD too ! i had a good one with Bayle but it ended up being in 720p sadly so it's bad. And also was focusing on the quests to get all the items, Leda's quests made me do the dlc 2 times and i still need to do it a third time for Thiollier's weapon lol

definitely in my top 10 or even top 5. what are your other two?
The other two really good fights are Maria in Bloodborne and the nameless puppet in lies of p. Bayle is right up there too.

It’s an optional main boss that doesn’t give u a remembrance but his heart which has the same function. They count him as one of 11 remembrance dlc bosses tho

@@Veloketh Kalameet may not be the spectacle that new fights are, but he's clean, he's fair, he's got cool attacks, and he can be quite the threat. Plus as someone whose favorite videogame series overall is Monster Hunter, Kalameet in general is SUPER similar to a lot of the OG Gen 2 elder dragons of Monhun like Kushala or Teostra and invokes a lot of nostalgia in that sense.
@@skrubknight884 oh yeah Kalameet can definitely still be a challenge, he was the hardest boss on my first DS1 run and I had beaten Midir before that. His design with the calamity eye is still one of my favorite dragon designs of all time and his build up with the surprise on the bridge and the little Gough quest was second to none back then.
I think I should start playing MH at some point, I see so many ppl in the souls community hype these games up lol
@@Veloketh there's certainly a lot of overlap. MH 4U or Generations Ultimate will be somewhat reminiscent of good old nostalgically janky DS1 and DS2, while World and Rise are more fluid. World was mentioned by its developers to be the current closest to what they originally envisioned the series to be and its a good stepping on point. As a perk, exceptionally good designs for dragons are abundant within MH. World's Iceborne has several of my favorite fights of all time with the revamped Fatalis and Alatreon fights.

The best boss this dlc could offer us is a better or arguably equal midir sequel. Not bad but a bit dissapointing they could only meet their old standards.
I think they gave us some outstanding bosses, with Messmer being the best imo, followed by bayle. Some of them push the boundaries, while others are just missing sth. They could’ve definitely gone harder with cutscenes for some bosses and I‘m still sad we didn’t get a godwyn fight lol
From the looks of it you could prob no hit this boss with a little bit more of practice good stuff

I think Bayle is the most overrated Fromsoft boss of all time. I don’t understand how people can consider a boss S tier when a majority of the damage is done while standing at his neck and attacking forward to his head. All while the camera is clipping through his body. It’s almost like people forgot Dark Souls 3 exists and lowered their standards because of cool cinematics.
lots of it depends on positioning and directions of dodging tho. Like I use to dodge into him for his grab and jump attack so I end up at his neck/leg which makes sense and I don’t mind bc the camera snaps back really fast. Midirs camera behaves similar when you dodge into him instead of backwards/sideways. You can definitely end up right at Bayle‘s face for most of his combos
