Totally agree about pivot tightness. Sometimes when a knife (on washers) is new ill even run the pivot a hair tighter than i normally would, just to speed up the break in process. In my experience, letting the blade and washers wear against each other has always produced better results than polishing each, individually.

you can upgrade the bearings to caged that have 20 vs the 16 in the stock. 15 bucks
