This whole video is basically Noah being confused for 20 minutes straight lmao
The Chef on the front of Chef Boyardee was a real person. His name was actually Boiardi, and he became well known for making up meal kits during World War 2 and putting them into army food packages. Eventually he made a business of it, and he spelled his name Boyardee on the can so that people could pronounce it.

Y’all missing out on the next generation of Capri Sun ads after the liquid cool ones, which their entire concept was I guess kids were getting in trouble for blowing them up into little balloons and stepping on them or smashing them into the table to pop them so there was an entire series of ads telling you to RESPECT THE POUCH or else YOU’D explode. It was an ad for caprisun and a safety statement in one.

The thing is with the Empire ad, is that we were so inundated with Empire ads for so many years, all they had to do is play the jingle.

We had “Don’t Wake Dad” in the Uk, I think it was the same ad just with English voice over.
We got a few ads like that
yeah we also have it in France and it's called "réveille pas papa" so I guess it's a pretty international game
I don't know whether this is me remembering stuff weirdly but I think in the UK we had 'Don't Wake Dad' but it was something like don't wake the mummy and was Egyptian themed.

Yes we did. We also had the caprisun adverts too - they American ones. Most of the time Nickelodeon would just play the American adverts. I’m pretty sure we had the American Frosties advert too but they changed up the last scene to have Frosties instead of Frosted Flakes on the box

That "Hello Mudder, Hello Fadder" song predates that ad as well, it's a novelty song from the 60s.

Yesss! I recently binged The Good Place and caught up the live shows, and I LOVE it. That moment where the Kars-4-Kids jingle was the demons' celebration song had me cracking up.
The fact that Noah and corry know about the naked brothers band makes me happy
I'm in the middle of the US and I'd never heard of Kars4Kids until they referenced it in the new episodes of Will & Grace.

The song in the dog flea commercial was based on a song called Camp Granada, by Alan Sherman in 1963. The musical selection he used a segment from “Dance of the Hours” by classical composer Ponchilie. For anyone familiar with Disney’s Fantasia, they had used it in the hippo/gator, ballet sequence.

The prevalence of the empire today ad really shows with Stephen Colbert and John Oliver singing it together on the Late Show just the other day.
I don't understand these adverts, at least UK adverts you sort of understand the concept about it, but US... what is going on?

The Zoo pals commercial brings so much forgotten and nostalgic memories back...I remember sitting on the floor eating at 5-6 years old wanting a zoo pal plate really bad. Also my dog used to howl and jump everywhere when he heard the Meow cat commercial and even when i started meowing lol
"Don't Wake Daddy" was called "Don't Wake Dad" in the UK.
I'm Scottish and I have a game in our cupboard called "don't wake dad" and the point is that you're trying to get to the fridge to get a snack lol. Other than that it's exactly the same, even the plastic dad is identical they must've just changed it up a bit for the UK lol

Meow Mix actually dates back to the 1970s when I was a kid. They redid it many times.

Fun fact #4: The HeadOn commercial was so annoying that the Sunday comic strip "Mother Goose & Grimm" dedicated a week's strip to it, just ending with the character throwing his TV out the window and concluding, "HeadOn, apply directly to the sidewalk." I still remember that to this day only because it was so relatable. That commercial is irritating as all hell.
the one i remember the jingle from was for frontline, maybe, or possibly another one for K9 advantixs where the puppy sang 'there ain't no bugs on me/ there aint no bugs on me/ there may be bugs on sammy and mugs but there ain't no bugs on me!'

Oh god this reminds me of the time before commercials were required to match the volume of the rest of the TV shows/other commercials. I have memories of scrambling to find the TV remote when Head On or any other loud commercials came on.
All of these Ads brought so many memories back.

To me (in the UK) the Chef Boyardee ad says "If you don't buy our product, it'll jump off the shelf and you'll get it anyway." Not exactly an incentive to buy it!
