I was blown away to learn that the actor who played Lord Randall Tarley was also in the 1970's BBC series about the Roman Ceasar's "I, Claudius"; . He played King Herod, and was quite the young stud. Another amazing then/now appearance from that series was a young Patrick Stewart w/ a full head of hair in the role of Sir Janus.
One of the big missed opportunities is that, with all the time Jon and Jorah have together, and Jon and Sam having both told Jorah that they served with his father, that Jorah never says, "Oh, do you know Sam?," and they spend the whole episode talking about how great Sam is.
Beric and Jon would have been such an interesting conversation. The two guys that have come back and they actually find themselves. I guess in the books Jon and lady stone hart will interact similarly to what I imagine but they literary just have one conversation and that is it.
If you remember, King Robert talked about how he also wielded a warhammer! “Gods I was strong then!” Since finding out Robert Baratheon is his father, Gendry really leaned into that identity! Even the clothes he’s wearing has a yellow-ish tint to it which House Baratheon’s sigil is a Black Stag on a Yellow background!
You are one of the few people maybe on this planet that has been watching Dany for real. I was watching this show while it was first aired and by Season 5 I was just like you. Everybody is just angry because they didn't get what they wanted. Which is exactly what this show was from day 1. If you did not figure that out when Ned lost his coconut you should maybe have suspected something when Rob and the rest were butchered in front of your face. I love this show from beginning to end. That being said, I have not read the books my opinion is based only on the show.
I agree 100% And honestly I think opinions of the show *should* be based only on the show. I think it's foolish to expect a dramatisation to follow a book/books to the letter - for one thing they would be far too long, and for another you might as well just read the books! Even then, not every book read reader would be happy, because everyone inevitably 'sees' the written word differently in their own minds. But yeah, to say Dany 'flipped in one episode' is a complaint I just can't take seriously - her growing need for power, and the lengths she would go to in order achieve it, were a gradual process but quite clear to me!
I imagine the experience of this show is wildly different if you align to one person no matter their lows. There isn’t really a true hero in this show, but each character is complex and that’s the beauty of it. Danny’s story is one of my favorites because her path is volatile and twisty. I heard the actress called her mom crying when she read the season 8 script
Wrong. Perhaps you didn't like the show due to the quality of the script and characters. I as well as many others are not angry because we didn't get what we wanted. We got angry due to the quality of the show going down the tubes with them pulling writers from the nearest elementary school to finish the script. Too many things in the end don't make sense at ALL and are written like a disney cartoon.
@@LippsReacts Yeah being in the midst of acting in this show it probably was a big shock for her as well maybe even more so. She really is a great actress and I love her story too. But like valbonney2575 said the signs were there all along.
@@jrafel1707 I know there are people that feel that way and I actually agree that the last few seasons felt rushed and little off you are not wrong. But to look at the big picture the whole show is fantastic and I still feel like the majority just didn't get what they wanted. They wanted Dany on throne and were sure that was going to happen.
Jon really doesn’t have blinders on, he’s a realist. There is no other threat in the world that matters but The Night King/the Army of the Dead and defeating them. The Game of Thrones that Cersei and Dany are playing is pointless. If the dead win then it won’t matter who’s Queen.
Jorahs father didnt hate him he was just disappointed in him. In the book if i remember correctly mormonts last words to same was to tell Jorah he forgives him and to tell him to join the nights watch to get his honor back. But enough of me being a book nerd lol keep up the awesome reactions😊
@LippsReacts slow and steady wins the race, and by all means take your time since all we still have no idea when George is gonna finish the winds of winter anyway 😭
Ask, if they wait for the next person to die at the Wall, instead of burning her, they lock her up and wait for her to revive, wouldn't they have avoided making a dangerous trip?
Some people think in this episode that Dany was being extreme in murdering people. What is she supposed to do? Let them go so they can go rejoin the army and fight them again? Hold them prisoner for the rest of their lives? (How is she going to feed and guard and care for all of them?) Dreagonstone is a rock with no way of producing food. She is going to Westeros to claim that she is the rightful Queen. You don't say that you're the rightful ruler, then say "Gee what do you think? should you follow me?" No you say I am the rightful ruler and show that you expect to be the boss. Not beg people to follow you and be wishy washy. What kind of King or Queen says follow me if yoiu want and if you don't ..That's ok. She left those people alone in Mereen and ended up fighting the Sons of the Harpy as they fought for control of the city. You can't fight a war on multiple fronts.. Kiling those that refused to follow her was Dark, but neccessary.
I think it's definitely a defining extreme moment for Dany. There are many things in this world you can excuse because this world is brutal. But I ask why did we start to believe in Dany. What made her so easy to root for and to follow. And then when we really start to dissect that has she been making decisions that go against what she stands for the whole time? Just in the name of killing the evil, we stood beside her. But because we were able to stand by her whilst killing masters we did not realize her moral compass that we first aligned to was blurring with her actions. For me, this *and the last episode in hindsight tho i was excited for dragon action so was less worried with that* is a prime example of when we start to sober up to Dany's actions and what they really mean. And when Varys is questioning her we would be foolish not to feel a lil sick to our stomachs about what we've excused in the past. Because to her credit, this is not a new thing she is doing. But it is more cruel.
Buenas Noches, Daenerys did the same as Aegon the Conqueror, forgiving those who kneeled, and no one said that he was not sane or that he was a sadist, could it be because she no is a man? In any case, the DD are already beginning to put their stamp and their rush to leave the Saga, despite this, you can still enjoy it more or less... until 8x03, then it gets worse until it seems like a parody ❤🖤❄&🔥´♬ a pesar de todo es y será La Mejor Serie, cuyo final no debe ser recordado
Tis a good question. I suppose I have more so assumed it is that we learned the lesson and don’t want to see it repeated. Tho perhaps it is a little bit of both
my first time here, have watched some vids. I realize, what ever your heart is saying, its always the right choice! because you made Yje choice! I love how passionate you are and debating the desicions. Ty for sharing your thoughts and emotion.
Well this time they were already at war, Daeny killed her enemies. When Aerys killed Neds father and brother they were his bannermen, when his father demanded a trial by combat, Aerys declared "fire" the champion of house Targaryen and burned him alive. In the books their murder is even more cruel, where he put a noose around the neck of Neds brother and put his sword just out of reach. He told him, when he could get his sword he could help his father, but he ended up strangulating himself while watching his father burn.
“I knocked him down with the hammer, GODS I was strong then.”
“This I know.” Gendry really is just like his father going straight for the warhammer
Gentry is a delightful character. His interactions with Jon this episode made me adore him
@@LippsReacts I love Gendry! And Pod, too! Some of the 'secondary' characters in this show are awesome ... like Ros ❤

I’d watch an entire episode of Jon and Jorah in front of a fire talking about jorahs father and same. Give us a glass of wine and let’s yap

Finally! A reactor that notices.
Drogon ran up to Jon like a puppy whose owner just got home from work.
This is such a cute description!!
"The dragon is looking at Jon and thinking 'Daddy!'" The dragon and I have that in common.

Say what you will about Randyll, but Sam loved Dickon.
so very true
FASTER REACTIONS! PLEASE! WHAHHHHHH 😢
Dany was indeed born in Westeros. It wasnt her fault she didnt live in Westeros. So Randyll Tarly was a hypocrite
fair honestly

I hate how they remove Jon's warging story line. How cool would it have been if when he came back he now had dreams of being inside Ghost and Rhaegal.
yess that storyline would have been cool to see
Your definitely gonna have to turn up the lighting some episodes
Yeah they’re are some episodes that I strained my eyes to see sadly

not only my passion ;) your are also very passionate, each time you express yourselves

Hahaha ok but I’ll take even more!!
Are you going to watch House of the dragon after you finish game of thrones ?
I am!

so true
the scene with the Tarlys... does no one remember the mad king murdering the starks? this is what i think of when i watched it. it started a war
