    thanks for the video and clear camera work too. I watched other videos and they either have the camera shaking or bad angle, but yours was spot on. You are also the only one mentioning to check the gauge needle position and rotating them back into place if they are on the wrong side of the stop pin. That was really helpful info!!

    Wasn't even looking for this video but it is totally relevant. Heck I can't see my tach or temp gauge at night. Didn't realize it was this easy. Got this van for $500 and it was a steal....
    Hey, any idea why my van isn't getting up to operating temp? I flushed the cooling system while installing a new water pump, purged it, new thermostat and housing.... and it maybe gets to about halfway to the center of the gauge... heat doesn't really work and cools the engine off QUICK, it'll be reading full cold while driving 70+ on the interstate.
    Now when I got the van about 2 weeks ago, the heat worked fine. Wonder if the problem is simply the heater core hose I had to fab up... maybe it's collapsing? Or maybe catching air and cooling? Anywho... going to try to put the right size / type of hose there see if it makes a difference but other than that, any ideas?

    • @TechiePocket1
      @TechiePocket1  3 роки тому

      Did you run the heater while bleeding the air out of the cooling system? If not there won't be enough coolant in the system. But you're saying it's running cold, sounds like the thermostat isn't functioning. I'd try and change it out even though it's already new. Did you change the radiator hoses btw? They like to get old and crack leaving you stranded lol

    • @TechiePocket1
      @TechiePocket1  3 роки тому

      Not sure how the coolant sensor works on this car but I can imagine if you don't have enough coolant the sensor might not be reading properly.

    • @TimLenhartTech
      @TimLenhartTech 3 роки тому

      @@TechiePocket1 I dread dealing with that thermostat housing again lol, this time I'll get some RTV to help seal it, had a real bear of a time getting it to stop leaking at first. I'll try another thermostat.... got a few days off work so I can mess around, rather drive this than my TDI at the moment - DPF problems galore! Definitely plenty of coolant and I always run the heat when bleeding.
      The hoses are new, suspect they replaced them at some point before I bought it. Cooling systems tend to be weird when they haven't seen pressure in a while, I had 3 or 4 hoses pop after the water pump....
      You know what? I think I'm going to throw a radiator cap at this thing first and see if it sticks... haven't replaced that...

    • @TechiePocket1
      @TechiePocket1  3 роки тому

      @@TimLenhartTech Oh ye definitely try the radiator cap. Hopefully, you can solve the problem. If you find the fix do let me know.

    You do not need to reconnect the battery to shift the gear. It worked by simply putting the key in the ignition, turn and it's unlocked. You can take the key only when you shift back, so just leave it. T&C 2006 Btw thank you for the video!!!!!

      @@TechiePocket1 thanks, i upgraded the whole front end with leds, for the turn signals i had to put a resistor. If the parking lights are not on the leds will hyperflash. If the parklights are on the lights will be while solid and change color to orange while blinking. While the parking lights are on it works normally. Just a heads up if you want to upgrade that, im not sure if its because of the one ive gotten but ive never seen anyone in the history of the 2007 dodge grand caravan convert turn signals to led lol! Thanks again, im gonna upgrade the brake lights too, it sucks that it uses the same bulb as the brake light but i dont think they make led flashers for these bulbs. If they did i could of bought a random pair of leds and popped them in and it would give no issue. But sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want it to, thanks again, about to order these dashboard lights

    My LED bulbs did not come with sockets. Do the old bulbs pull out of the sockets? I can't get them out.

    • @TechiePocket1

      You can but mine were frozen so I opted to use the new ones.

    • @Steveh112
      @Steveh112 2 роки тому +1

      @@TechiePocket1 I finally got them out by just about breaking them off in there and one did shatter on me. Got it to work but I don't believe those sockets were made to be reused. I really had to mess with the wire position on the bulbs to get connection. 3 1/2 hours later it works but definitely going with new sockets next time. None available locally so I had to work with what I had while the dash was apart.

    • @Steveh112
      @Steveh112 2 роки тому +1

      Also figured out the top part of all sockets is + and the bottom half -. My new LED bulbs were not labeled for polarity so I used a couple aligator clip leads on a 9v battery and pretested them all and put red and black dots on them with markers to take the guesswork out of it.
