WBZ-TV "We're 4" Station Promos 1976

These institutional promos and IDs aired on WBZ-TV between 1976 and '78. They were produced on film by Channel 4 and advertising agency Klein &.
The "We're 4" campaign became popular with Boston viewers. People would phone the station to inquire when the spots would run next.
The video quality of this sequence is improved over a previous posting.

These Ads always toll bells and bring Happy tears to my eyes and going back to when I was in the 7th Grade.I'm Also Proud to be not just an American but to top it off a New Englander as well.I'm 4 getting Nostalgic in every way whatsoever?Ask not for whom these bells toll whether upon the Jingling Sleigh or any way whatsoever?The Spirit of '76 must forever live on in the hearts of All Americans and Maybe more over The New Englanders.9/11 in NYC has even renewed all Americans of their Patriotism.

Yes agreeably These are very good bell tollers and bring back many happy tears.I was in the 7th grade when I'd first seen them too.I even recall the one of I group of kids singing We're 4 in which among the things they were singing of were We're 4 The Rocky Coast Line and The Children at play in the Common.I haven't come across it as of yet though on You Tube so maybe it got recorded over?As I've heard some things have gotten recorded over including other live and local programs and promotions.

For a Boston station its self-promo videos had the choir pronounce a whole bunch of R's that Boston natives never pronounced when these commercials were made! And its news personalities, save for Don Kent, all pronounced their R's too!

sounds like the same commercial they did for our local news in Pittsburgh KDKA even though they're same Group W family

Actually, recorded by Fordham University choir (in NYC!) in 1976---not in Boston, or anywhere in New England!!!!!!!!!
