"A video that doesn't teach anything about gardening!" (says John). Most of us would disagree - and his enthusiasm is absolutely infectious!
John is first class - made me laugh today
Honestly John I’ve learnt so much from you, never under sell your self.👍🏻
I disagree.. I always learn something from these videos, even if it’s to remember when I’m gardening to look up occasionally and take in the view. The enthusiasm is what I come for as well as the learning. Such a treat.
The Prairie Garden is my favourite part of your Garden John...Just like you I'm pulling out Willow Herb on a daily basis
In my scorching hot and dry Texas garden I can probably only grow a fraction of the types of plants that you do, but I find your videos so enjoyable. I can relate to your passion for plants and forms and textures. You always teach me something, and you always make me laugh out loud. Thanks for sharing your garden with us :-)
All very beautiful!
I love seeing the things you can do when you have larger spaces like yours! My lot is super small with several structures taking up much of the space. And because my focus is on vegetable gardens & edible landscaping, I have very limited space for ornamental species. Primarily, my outer perimeter is used in that way, on the outside of my deer / rabbit barrier. And that means I need to focus on resistant varieties.
We ll done Dave & John ... nice but pretty short ..... bring back the 30 min videos of John just going for a ramble through the garden or just rambling on ....take your pick!
I have never been disappointed by any of your masterful videos. Enjoying them in Lake Katrine, NY, USA. Even if we officially have not been “taught” anything we are becoming familiar with new species and varieties and we saw the way plants that got chopped or eaten have recovered, etc.
Thanks for the video. love your tours and comments.
🙋hi from Scotland thanks for sharing this vidio John just love all the information you give out about all the plants your z real plantsman take care cheers 🍷 till next time Anne from Scotland
Love your videos. I always look forward to them. From Pensacola Florida the USA.
I love to get to see your beautiful garden!
Hello Mr Lord and David lovely to see you, I've just come in from watering the garden, wrote down names of those Astilbe ice cream and some other's to buy next time I'm in the garden centre .thanks for video 🏴
Always love the updates!
You always teach us something... Even when you are not trying. Thank you.
John - you’re an artist ! Also one of those folk who can see into the future…
Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for this John Lord
Nice to have a look around the garden.
I always enjoy your videos! You have shown me so many plants that I wasn't familiar with. And, so many choices for my own garden. I'm curious, what planting zone are you in?
Wonderful to see your border plants, John! Thank you for sharing. Watching near Niagara Falls Canada
Hello John
Spectacular display. A blue flowered plant like ceratostigma would be fantastic in this prairie border too💕
BRILLANT insight and great comments 👏
Lots of inspiration, thank you!
Love your vids John - your the best!
Keep getting distracted by your bed head John! 😂👍🏻
Ich liebe Ihren Garten....so schöööön!😃💛💚💯👍👍👏🌲🌻
Can’t believe how astilbes are super easy to grow in containers. They doubled in size since I planted them.
Thank you so much for the lovely tour!! I love your prairie garden!
Persicaria polymorpha is one of Piet Ouldorf’s favorite plants, and now everybody in the US is growing them. It won’t be long before they’re declared invasive here.
Do you chelsea chop the joe pie weed and persicaria? grasses? And issues with underground pests, like voles?
Lovely fun-filled video
Please get a mic! I love the videos and energy you have and a mic would help us hear you better :)
It's amazing seeing plants all the way across the world growing that we grow here in NC, USA
Enjoyed the trip through the prairie garden. So cool to see how plants rebound after being chopped by humans or chomped by rabbits. Two things though, the camera lens could do with a clean and John's hair needs combing. Not that either of these things reduced my enjoyment of the video!
Two videos in a week! Nice one John 🙏😁
What did you do with the rabbits John!
could a fellow who was so inclined chelsea-chop his monarda to any good effect?
Looking really lush! Lovely walk through a great prairie border😀
Any opinions on thalictrum? Japanese meadow rue?
Thank you
I'll be passing tomorrow, do you have any of the giant persicaria
Thank you for the garden tour, John. You say you're not teaching anything about gardening but I've learned a lot from your videos. I've taken inspiration from your garden in planting my own Virginia garden and have had lots of success with 5 different varieties of Persicaria, Geum, and Astilbe chinensis which were previously unknown to me(a professional garden designer).
As always your videos are a "must watch" for me. Thank you!
You have your Daisy Dukes on today
Not a single Lilium?
Tell me this and tell me no more. Which is better Cornus Kousa or Cornus Florida
Cornus kousa is one of the best shrubs in our garden. It has never let us down. I haven’t had success with Cornus florida, maybe our climate doesn’t suit it.
As always, an absolute pleasure seeing your garden.
Not every video needs to be a teaching video. We just enjoy walking along with you listening to your enthusiasm (and accent!)
What a superb border, and for those having with 'one of those' and 'had one once' it's very envious The years of work are evident, and glorious. Thank you John.
Lovely fun-filled video
