Katana making, tsuba, Japanese sword guard. We make tsuba from old welding steel, or lower quality folded tamahagane. I prefer muromachi period style. Katsushi and Tosho. But also some younger ones from the Edo period, for example Akasaka. Production is simple. Lots of sawing and file work.
