The Mustang launch on the very last pass was crazy! Dave was sandbaggin hard with those 13 second launches on the first couple passes, then on the final race he pulled out the 8 second hit 😂

Bro exactly. you can see how they turned it up so hard that last pass how it came off the ground. then still have over a car on em. they played everyone with the numbers of the motor. its a tuning game. any motor have be set at any horse power up to its max.
Looked like 35 people in the stands, Rich Chirsten was the worse thinking he was sooooo cool.

At the time all the 405 guys had real jobs this was years before they got a show
I used to really appreciate this channel as a kid! This was better than the Disney channel and Nickelodeon! Only other channels I religiously watched growing up were fox, cartoon network, mtv, tbs, and spike tv
I am thankful for this channel, every morning before school from grades 3-9 this was on the tv and it’s very nostalgic to see, nobody in my family is particularly into cars either so this is definitely one of the reasons I’m an enthusiast now😂

Big chief was playing the game..Daddy Dave was sand bagging it...they negotiated well..by never letting Alex use the bottle!
They played it right but honestly the woolly mammoth had over 100 cubic inches more in the motor and had to be soo much lighter
If the let him on the bottle it might have been a bit of competition they wouldn’t do that

Big Chief knew that Mustang wasn’t gonna beat that Vega on the bottle, he kept sand bagging till the final race to put the dagger in! That race was the first race Dave gave it everything !
the crazy thing is chief said in an interview that they raced the wolly and the mustang after they won it and they said bottle to bottle heads up the mustang most likely still woulda won. the producers called them and told them after the 1st time being on the show that they had to sell the car back to not be hated by america. he admitted 15 car lengths probably still wouldnt have even been a fair race that 1st go around lol. he also said the show tried to put them in there place by telling them they were gonna race that van and then and then had them race the wolly mammoth instead. rich told the owner not to worry no way they would lose and they after they lost it bought it back for the guy....not knowing big chief and his guys had wrecked it and more or less duct taped it together hahahaha.
Listening to Big Chief tell the story of the two 'Pinks' appearances on Limpy's podcast was absolutely hilarious. "They had a 'get back' car waiting for us, but we knew that's what they were going to do, so we brought a 'get back' car of our own".
They played the show the first time, the show wanted to teach them a lesson, but they punked the show even harder on the second go around.

If you watch how hard Alexander’s team swindled the first team he faced, you can’t even feel bad. 405 beat some rookies the first go and then beat a guy with deep pockets the second time.

Watching this as a kid when I was supposed to be sleeping is what fueled me to get into cars. Had a 85 mustang with a 351 and sadly sold it after it was built.

It’s where hustlers went to hustle. They both brought sub 10 second cars and sandbagged the shit outta all the races. Would it have been less shady to run the cars as fast as they could or actually do timed brackets? Yea. Would it have been less shady to do the car lengths bullshit? Yea. Would it have made for better TV? Who knows.
Daddy Dave the best sandbagger every. And one of the best no prep guys till Black Sheep Mafia showed up. I know Shawn Murder Nova has said many times he doesn't have shit for Adam Plunket and Brent Self for small tire no prep. If Pinks was still around Those two and Russel Stone would dominate the small tire street outlaws stuff. Discovery didn't invite them cause they know they would dominate it and are sorta unknown unless you watch drag racing. Hell I have even watch Daddy Dave say they are fast on no prep.
