This was the last race of the day and just before this race, the winner poured 3 bottles of champagne in our lane and it just didn't get cleaned up good enough. We spun, he won. Kudos to the vette owner for taking the race and taking a chance.
Good race always fun watching you too race. Racing needs more racers like you guys. Humble, knowledgeable, safe and non violent Haha I'd like to see you guys get your own show fishing one day ;)
That's right... I totally forgot about the Champagne spraying, I saw that and didn't even put that together that is why you spun. Glad you had it under control and didn't nose into the wall over something like that. TomEighty
I grew up with some of your crew racing at Hwy 108. Living in Maryland now sure miss the good ole days. Watching your videos bring back fond memories. Keep up the good work
Nice videos I like watching all of your videos you have the best ones out there I think. Do you have a full video of the whole Bristol race I would love to see all the races
Thanks Brian. I'm not going to put out a "Full Coverage" video, just all of the exciting ones. This was kind of a weird race with about 6 rain delays between two days (it was only supose to be a 1 day race).
Farmtruck already picked another race with those boys from Johnson City for next year but they're in the process of building another vette that's gonna be a badass. He better bring his Hurse or something when he comes back.
I have a customer who looks just like Farm Truck when he wears his cowboy hat. He had other people stop him and ask if he was Farm Truck. Funny. Big Farm Truck love!
Thanks Charlie Dee! I appreciate the nice comment and the sub! And I do kind of like to think the videos I put out have other people watching right along with me and I would point out stuff just like if you were sitting next to me at the races. So welcome aboard and thanks for following along with me! TomEighty
No problem, thanks for the great channel. I am an old drag racer from way back when, ran a 1969 Harley Sportster based homemade bike a few years back in the AMRA in the SG/E class on a 10.00 index.
My truck got stolen from Bristol dragway parking lot along with two others. The last spring nascar race they were twelve chevy trucks stolen. The cops just said if you come to Bristol don't drive a Chevy or get a rental car to come. Bristol police department called me a year later and asked if I found out any info on my stolen truck. BMS and Bristol PD are pathetic as the stolen vehicles from there has been going on for year's and they could care less. Pigion Forge is just as bad. I am just giving people a heads up before you go to east TN.
I saw the farm truck (online) before. I remember they street raced somebody and (also) won the rear spoiler off the losers car. Daddy Dave's Nova is an awesome looking machine!!!
Chief is not worth watching and is not anywhere near a professional stand up racer. He likes to brag he's from the streets but so am I and just because I came from there doesn't mean I want to stay there! Chief needs to grow up and mature and and then give racing a try.
Something else happened with the transmission or something. You could hear the RPM'S drop and the nose of the truck drop down. Like the nitrous shut off about half track.
Funny you mention that because that was the first thing I thought of too when I heard the reving noise, I thought his transmission let go. But you could hear BoostedGT on the mic saying he was spinning at half track, so I took his word on it because he would have a different view than I had.
1984 ish, I own a 1974 short wheel base(shortest they sold) full size E100 Ford van, originally a 300 cu inch straight 6, dropped a 302 4 bbl, mild cam, dual exhaust, hooked up to the 6 cyl. "3 on the tree" trans and rear end....put decent tires on it, former company van, paint faded, buffed through when buffed name off, a lil rot at fender corners...even had a mismatched paint, fiberglass hood with a scoop,....that truck was f'g quick...be called a 'rat rod' today I could destroy IROC Camaro's through the 1st 2 gears, but the 2nd to 3rd jump, just too much, the rpm's dropped out of powerband...but, 0-80mph, that truck was QUICK
Dont let the truck fool you. Hes installed an outdrive and pontoons now. Itll run just as fast across a lake as on pavement. Respect. The man is living tg he dream.
@@rick6582CNCMedicalParts i didnt watch that one but the truck has beaten the hell out of nearly everything. I couldnt believe it when i saw on the news last month i think when i saw that old beater cutting across a lake in oklahoma. It was throwing a rooster tail 50' and had to been running mid to high 70s and was smoothe as any boat. Im guessing he had a v drive under it due to how high the truck sat above the water. It looked top heavy but it didnt list or act unstable sitting still idling or pedal to the metal.
Will there be more footage coming from this race? Kinda shocked the stands seemed empty! Doc's Monte Carlo is fast, Dave just squeaked by at the end, really think he is going to have to run more Nitrous to compete with all these boosted cars , he needs to connect with Pat Mussi & change his program a bit. Was Hoping Bodie would go farther as well !
Yes, I have a ton of footage from this race to put out yet. And this race was crazy, it was going to be one day only but they had like 4 rain delays on Tuesday and then shut it down and midnight and decided to finish it this last Wednesday, but it ended up raining 3 times that day too. So when you see the bleachers empty that is because of the rain and delaying it to the next day. Thanks for watching and commenting George!
The engine Doc was running wasn't Morgan and son's. He's having them built in middle Tn. West of Gatlinburg at a shop a few of us Bristol locals have used. I think he's running better now but he hasn't got it ironed out. He'll have to go forced induction to be successful. Nitrous, at least THAT much Nitrous is really really violent.
I think this was the first time I saw Farm Truck lose.. I had the original Red 1968 Chevy Farm Truck back in about 1980. Just a stout 350 with a Power Glide that embarrassed many hot rodders when the red light turned green ..
Awesome, I'm glad you liked the video! I wish I would have got video of you coming down the return road snapping the throttle, it sounded amazing. I was expecting you guys to come into the pits so I ran over that way. Cool car and great driving dude! TomEighty
It's got a F1a procharger billet intake port injection air 2 water intercooler full heads cam headers and all the bolt ons...Still stock motor trans rear suspension & axles
I really miss my old, "Farm Truck" 72 swb 400 small block punched 60 over 1150 cfm double pumper holly, 400 turbo with 2500 stahl converter. She'd pull the front tires off the ground
No, I was there. Farm truck didn't have a prayer. 100 ft out at Bristol, Left lane has a bump, when he had to pedal it a little, that vette was GONE and farmtruck just let off.
@@tomeighty I agree, every time we turned around it was raining and they were on a cold, "green" track again. That left lane has always had a small bump about 150-200' out that you gotta watch out for if you're making 500+.

that truck looks soooo heavy sir.
why not take of the bed and throw some nice suspension on the thing??
can always call it "farmpick-up
Farmtruck is loved in Texas too.
That truck has so much character. They should make a Farm Truck cartoon. Everyone knows Farm Truck when they see it.
Farmtruck and asian live in my neighborhood and they are the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. Their attitude is always positive! Good video!

”Is everything stock sir?”
”Ye yes sir”
Can someone tell me why the ET and Speeds are not displayed when these guys race?

My favorite episode was when they had a boat on the trailer & trolled a 200k Lamborghini on the street.
It was a porche they beat with the boat

It comes down to how many horses are sleeping under your hood , lol !!!
No weight on wheels, lost traction. Weight distribution is off on the truck.

Farmtruck still putting in work
damn what camera you using, this crystal clear
Thank you! I have a link in the video description where you can see what I use to shoot this video.
What’s a farm truck time I never watched the whole thing
Love how it's been a year and chief still hasn't painted that door ,even with all the cash he has
Wakey Green He doesn’t paint it for the fact it gives him a memory of his old car. He actually talks about it in a Street Outlaws episode
AKA "Character" 😉
Best footage on you tube, well done another great video.

How does the farm truck do the steam trick out of the hood?
I would like to see what is under the hood of the Farm Truck.
I remember watching this truck all the time lol
Who was in the Vette? It looked like Cleetus. Anyone know?
It was a guy who owned a car dealership in the area, he contacted me after I posted this video. Very cool guy and is a town hero now, ha ha.
It's crazy to see that some of these cars are in a game called no limit drag racing 2.0
These cars are probably what inspired the game

So what happened in band camp?
Loved the position of the camera, awesome footage !
Dang guys I came back to watch again live the truck it reminds me of many a Saturday nights 😆 lol
They should've done more runs. Even if the Vette technically won the $1,000, it would've been nice to see a solid pass from both at the same time.
Why dont they show the damn times????
Thanx for the video great footage

Wonder why they use high profile tires on the back , you would thing they would flop like a balloons at high RPMs and high torque.
Is this the same truck that was turned into a boat?
405 slowing down. Need to refocus on putting down power vs drama.
