Dreamland (Rich Confer Music) MXL V67g, 603s

This is a song that my brother (Rich Confer) wrote for his girlfriend. The mics i used were a MXL V67g for vocals, and a pair of MXL 603s for guitar. The video was taken with my iphone. Don't hate on my sweaty armpits! it was a hot day!

Hmm Very interesting. Not purposing to slam M-Box but if that were run through a millennia (wider more detailed responce) it would probably be a ton warmer. Suddenly puts a different spin on it's usability. Folks often don't test lower cost mics with high end signal path. Apples to apples (IE C-414 through a Millenia or V67G same path). Obviously they would sound different but I am thinking possibly comparable. C-414 is a grand to buy and an industry standard mic.

Can't directly reply because he made the comment before the Google+ update, but to Rob Chapman, I think these cheap chinese mics work better with cheap interfaces/pres. The highs are so harsh, especially on these MXLs, that an expensive pre would just highlight that. I guess a really nice tube pre might warm it up a little, though.
