I honestly didn't know it was possible to have so much love for people you haven't met in person but you have helped me so much in such a short amount of time I was recently diagnosed as having high functioning autism (I'm 13) and I am constantly being told all the things I can't do or shouldn't be able to do but I keep trying to do what I think I can't and watching you helps me get through the illnesses I acquired from going undiagnosed for so long I can't thank you enough for sharing your story and seeing your strength gives me strength and new hope for the future! I am so thankful to have found you guys! Peter is such a funny person and so kind and thoughtful, Mary is beautiful and strong and funny, and Ollie is definitely my favourite UA-cam dog he is so kind and amazing, and you all make me laugh every day so thank you thank you thank you! 🖤
I had Whooping Cough about 5 years ago. I had it for 6 months. It was awful. constant coughing and gagging. That's the closest I came. to knowing how you feel. BTW... your motto Do what you think you can't do is my motto now. I bought one of your bags. I have a hard time with arthritis. We just keep pushing on don't we Mary!
Kristine Spencer that's my motto too. I have. Fibro, chronic fatigue, kidney problems IBS etc. today my back hurts so bad I can hardly stand. But Mary keeps me going.
rae1957tn . You never know all the people you can reach for the good. I think God brings certain people in your life for a reason just at the right time even if it is via UA-cam!
Kristine Spencer, I got whooping cough from the live vaccine, when I was a toddler... I don't remember much about it, but my mother once said that I was the only one in the valley and that everyone felt sorry for me so maybe that's not a bad thing...LOL I do have some breathing issues, and can't lay flat on my back without my APAP... and I have a chronic cough that sounds like whooping cough sometimes so I have an inhaler like an asthmatic uses... I am SO awed by how Mary just keeps going. She is like a little Eveready battery... and an inspiration to me.
I love both...but sunrises more.....I'm an early bird and it's beautiful to see and to hear the world waking up! And now "the golden hour" in the summer before sunset, I get all geeked out! God's creativity is crazy amazing!! Cheering on from Chicago!
LOL I think about the colors of flowers too. I wonder if His creation is really even MORE beautiful than what we see.....but because of the fall we cannot see the actual beauty of it. Sounds crazy....I know ....but I do wonder.....
I just came from watching the video with baby Elijah. This was the next to watch, all I can say is what a mighty mighty God we serve! You have come so far Mary! ❤️
Sunrise is my favorite. It's like getting to see the world waking up. Because at first everything is dark and slowly gets brighter until the sky lights up with color and revealing the beauty of the world around you.
There was a saying I got from the TV show The Librarians that was "Eat the impossible everyday..." and it reminded me of the "Do what you think you can't go" saying you'll all gave. Hope you're having a good day.
Boy have you come a long way honey from this video. You’re doing so much better in 2022 thanks to that new medication. Now you have a baby and are beyond blessed. We love you take care
Awe, Coughing is so difficult on you. We all want you to feel better and you know that is true❣️ Your courage is like that of a Lion. You are simple incredible. Likened to a flowers a flower garden With different sizes, shapes and colors and textures. Whose lovely fragrance intermingles and wafts in the breeze. That is your essence; beautiful Mary. It is clear for all to see. And see you tomorrow. 💐💫
all the coughing doesn't usually cause me to be emotional, but today, I'm bawling...tears streaming down my cheeks...I'm actually heading to my endocrinology appointment so i guess I'm a bit more sensitive than usual. I love you all. #TheFreyLife! you all rock. ♡ from Kansas
I have lupus and I totally agree it's nice to be able to help a friend or family when they aren't contagious, but I love the idea you gave of leaving things on the porch for them! great idea
You two are so kind and generous. Giving to someone else even though you are sick yourself. I am so happy that your feeding tube is working out, you look perky and awake. I have an autoimmune disease that makes me run the other way when people are sick so I totally understand where you are coming from. Hope the rest of your week goes well.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are just happy you are able to help!! This person having something that is not contagious is just what makes it so you are able to go over there. You always encourage me!!!
Same after vivid I'm making the trip to Chicago to moody and hope I can meet Mary and Peter on my way back to newyork before my flight back to the uae.
For all of you that live sunsets, if you get the chance see one on the gulf coast of Florida on a cloudy evening. I lived a majority of my life in Sarasota and I'm not a beach fan but I love the sunsets. Now I live in the middle of the state and miss all the colors.
You two are so darn cute!!! I always think about when one of you passes (which trust me I don't want to think about) but I feel like you will look at the sunrise or sunset and feel the other one right there with you! The way you two love eachother is just so beautiful ❤️
I feel the same way with my hEDS. I have to warm up my joints when I wake up so I can sit up, stand up, get the pain out of my body. Sleeping for 7-8 hours is great but that means my spine has been in an imperfect position for hours. Ugh.
I give Mary mad respect. I had pneumonia, that collapsed my lung. my oxygen was80 in the emergency room. it is the worst scariest feeling to not be able to get air. The energy it takes to cough all the time is exhausting. I don't know if it's even comparable. Mary..you are amazing with your positivity. Peter too. Ollie too🤗🤗🤗
I love to see both. A sunrise is beautiful as it is the promising beginning of a blessed day. My husband and I whenever we are on the coast we wake up early and go to the beach and enjoy the beauty of the ocean, the wonderful ocean breeze and are in awe of the sunrise.
I have asthma and CEBV and I get extremely frustrated and irritated at ppl that say oh your just lazy if you really want to you can walk a mile. but they don't have a clue what it is to live with an illness
I flew from the U.K. to New York for my 40th birthday holiday today with my husband and son. I'm going to bed now but it's only 5pm! Had a surprise bonus though I don't have to wait until late to watch the Frey life!!! Thought of you as we flew over (near) Boston!
I love both sunrises and sunsets but I think sunsets can be more awe-inspiring. As I have said before, God is an amazing artist. Mary, when I think of how you have endured the difficulties of your disease for so many years, I continue to be so humbled by my own good health. God bless you. And Peter, I think Mary is right, you would be an incredible chef in a restaurant.
Congratulations on doing a handstand again! I know that was something you were anticipating. I hope it is the first of many more. Sending prayers and good wishes your way. Keep on keeping on!
My lungs ached in sympathy with yours when you had that coughing spell. I have asthma, I have to sleep slightly elevated or I can't breathe. We bought a Sleep Number bed last Year and it's wonderful, bonus it helps my husband not to snore as much. 😉👍
Amazed at Gods creation! Sunsets on the West Coast at the ocean are some of the most beautiful things. I have never visited the East Coast to watch the sun rise over the ocean but I have seen many sunsets over the ocean and we are fixin' to go to Mendocino in a week for a camping vacation in our wonderful trailer and it is such a healing place to go. RANDOM QUESTION PETER... Did you ever finish your desk? I don't recall seeing a video about it and didn't know if I missed it.
As always, thanks for sharing your daily life with us and educating us on CF. I also enjoy seeing what creative food concoction you come up with. In Florida we have spectacular sunsets. I remind myself of this during the summer while we sweat in the shade and fan off mosquitoes. Until the next time, Love and Prays to The Frey Family.
Like both sunrise & sunsets because its always a different painting of a materpiece in the sky. Or if the clouds are just right, making out shapes from the clouds!! Who else does that??
I drank tea out of my vintage Tupperware coffee cup too! Mine is avocado green. I cannot compare to having CF but I know when I come off of the ventilator my lungs have to wake up and I always cough up some crap! Not to the degree that you do so I could only imagine. Love from Georgia!
I completely agree with you Mary, About the 💐 🌸 🌺 🌹! I remember when my Dad was sick with COPD, just a few weeks before he passed, we were standing at his sliding glass door. He said to me that he missed being outside. He couldn’t be out there because of the Georgia humidity. He couldn’t breathe in it at all. But he said what he missed were the things that in everyday life we never really stop to take in and appreciate like hearing the leaves crunch under your feet, feeling the breeze on your face, watching the bugs fly around, smelling the flowers. Just all these things we see as insignificant, and sometimes even annoying, when we’re fully able. It really made me take a step back and look at all of Gods wonderful creations that surround us... to just take in life. Even if we’re stripped of every single material item that we’ve collected over our lifetimes, we’re still blessed beyond measure if we just take a minute to stop and see it. ♥️
I don't normally comment on UA-cam videos I watch, but now I wish I had a long time ago. Peter, there is a "picking" tool you can get that will work on the vinyl decals so that you won't cut your finger with the Xacto knife again. Found on Amazon or any place scrapbooking things are sold.
Hi guys, I totally understand how you don't enjoy waking up because of your coughing. With Scleroderma, when we wake up, our joints have settled and we have pain and stiffness getting going. But like you say, do what you think you can't do. I also got dressed today lol yes an achievement. Soon I have to take my meds and that is a battle sometimes too. Swallowing those pills is getting harder and harder. Great to see you all, and thank God for Ollie who is so faithful. Lots of love xxxx
My favorite analogy has always been relating a flower, actually a rose to life. We all start as a seed. Need sunlight, water, food. Grow from the seedling, into a rose bud. Not one alike. Different colors, shapes and sizes! Soon bloom into the most beautiful rose ever. The vine is like our jounery's in life. The petals are the paths we all choose to take. The thorns are the trials and tribulations, that make us who we are or/and bring us back into reality. Eventually the flower will start wilting and die. Therefore, our life is like a Rose. How we take care of it and the paths and journey's we travel help make us who we are. Not one the same, yet simalar in many ways!!!! Unique, special, amazing, and beautiful in every way!!!!
I get sunrises on the sea and sunsets in the mountains which are towards West. The sunsets are beautiful with many hues of red but unfortunatly I rarely get to see the sunrises, too early at dawn. I live in a small town by the Adriatic Sea in Italy. It's so true the thing about lungs hating to wake up, with all the sticky mucus that settles during the night and wanting to find its way out when you start moving.
Oh sweetheart, I am so sad to see you going through this :-( You are such an incredible woman! Your courage and positive attitude is an inspiration to all of us. Thank you :-) Hugs, C.
sunsets, until I moved to New England, I never saw what I call a "Maxfield Parrish" sunset or sky. I mean PINK and PURPLE and such... someone told me it's something special about the area, but the colors of a sunset here ... you have me also now always looking at sunsets.
Oh Mary I know what you mean. I have BA not CF so dont have the gunk, but cough for hours when I wake up. In fact I often cough the whole night, cannot lie down and have not slept longer than 2hrs at a time in 5yrs. It is so tiring and I often wish it was possible to buy sleep. Like you though, I too have a strong faith so I try to stay as positive and thankful as I can, making the most of my lie such as it is. Thank you for your enthusiasm for life and your witness to the world through this vlog.
Your observations and most appreciative narration of Gods work in nature is so wonderfully beautiful and always gives me "food for thought" inspiration and encouragement. Thank you! ;)
I love sunsets. I believe God paints the sky for us to admire and give Him thanks! I am also a night owl with rough mornings, so I don't usually enjoy mornings. (i only get to see a sunrise if I've been up all night... So I'm usually not feeling well if that happens.) anyways, I'm a sunset loving girl! And i always stop to admire them and give thanks for the beauty that my Heavenly Father put there for me to admire!
Mary, would you consider doing a video about growing up with CF? I've seen your draw my life but I'd be interested to know more about what your symptoms were like and how it affected your childhood.
Flowers have always reminded me to trust in a higher plan when things don't seem to be going well. This is a quote that I found early on in struggling with a chronic illness that reminds me to trust in Him and his plans - “For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn't understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.” (Cynthia Occelli)
I have bad asthma. So I've experienced the hospital inducing attacks and the months of having no symptoms at all. There is no comparison. Having bad lungs is so limiting compared to breathing normally. To have a good breath is liberating and I hope you can experience this one day.
Peter, You could super glue the cut shut too. I love using water proof tape with a little bit of gauze. Tips of fingers are hard. I have poor wound healing and take biotin with vitamin Bs to help my skin integrity. I am immune suppressed so even paper cuts don't heal right. Hugs.
I love both the sunrise and the sunset - they both have different "meanings". A sunrise is God saying "good morning!" And I'm filled with instant joy! And a sunset is such beautiful way to end a day. Someone could probably word this better than I can
I know how you feel about being happy when someone's sick but not contagious! My son has type1 diabetes and catches everything that anyone has and will end up in the hospital over a simple cold. Its so hard with him being so young to keep him away from other sick children when their adults don't understand what it means for my son to get sick.
I like both for different reasons, sunrise because of this feeling of renewed hope and life, and all the bunnies and squirrels in my neighborhood frolic around at 7. sunset because it cools off, all the bugs go away, and the stars come out. totally with you on not wanting to get up that early, I would rather stay up and watch the sunrise
I love how at 4:04 Peter is describing his burger with pulled pork and he has to take a big gulp of the saliva that it is accumulating in his mouth because it sounds so delicious LOL!!! Mouth watering description!!!
Me too, Kattie. I've had a nagging respiratory thing with lots of coughing for over a week and I've thought of Mary throughout this cold. CF warriors are amazing!
I love a beautiful sunrise. I live in the North West where it is almost always cloudy, so a beautiful sunrise equals blue sky and sun on the way. And we have a mountain in the East so it is really dramatic. I think it depends on where you live which one is prettier.
Lol I have cf and I'm 14 so every morning when I go to school I spend like an hour coughing gagging and puking then an other 2 or more hours doing treatments then I have about 10 minutes to actually get ready 😂 but I honestly love having cf because even tho I'm a straight A student I hate school so having cf I'm in hospital for weeks at a time a lot so I get away from school a lot 😂😂😂
Ciara Cf I love how you're so positive about it! I don't even have a serious 'permanent' illness (only asthma) but what you just said made me so happy 😂😍💕
I think asthma varies in severity. I had childhood asthma and I only had to use an inhaler from time to time. Eventually, my asthma attacks lessened and I eventually outgrew it. Now I only wheeze when I have really bad allergy attacks (unfortunately, I have really bad seasonal and pet allergies)
I wish I could include my pics of the view from our house. We have an eastern view of Mt Rainier (WA) and the sunrises over the mountain are spectacular.
Everytime I get a cold and I'm coughing up gunk I always think, "how does Mary do this everyday?!"
You are strong, sweet, and amazing, Mary!
Right?? One coughing fit and I panic. Mary and all cfers are heroes in my eyes
I've been thinking this the past couple days as I fight a chest infection
i have the flu and i've been thinking the same thing. IDK how she does it
When you were coughing after your nap, your feeding tube formed a heart ❤️
Michelle C How observant of you and you are right. So cute ❤
Michelle C oh my goodness that's awesome and so sweet
Michelle C kind of an infinity heart!!!

I do have some breathing issues, and can't lay flat on my back without my APAP... and I have a chronic cough that sounds like whooping cough sometimes so I have an inhaler like an asthmatic uses... I am SO awed by how Mary just keeps going. She is like a little Eveready battery... and an inspiration to me.
True, Greyfort 7. We take a whole LOT of things for granted...
Ruanda1992 But, it is completely preventable with a simple poke in the arm.
Your fascination with the beauty of sunsets and flowers gives me life
It breaks my heart that she goes through this everyday. She's a warrior! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
“Aww you’re so cute”
“I was thinking the same about you”
🥺this is such an amazing wholesome channel
You guys are so inspiring, I will never understand how you stay so optimistic throughout all of this

LoveandBeloved Too I totally agree! I love both, but there is just something magical about watching the Earth wake up! 🌅🌄
LoveandBeloved Too
Amen. A paint brush like no other. I love both equally.
Can you believe your mornings are easier two years later? So happy for you, Mary! Yay, Vertex!
LOL I think about the colors of flowers too. I wonder if His creation is really even MORE beautiful than what we see.....but because of the fall we cannot see the actual beauty of it. Sounds crazy....I know ....but I do wonder.....
I always like to see your videos everyday to see how you both are doing.
Lynn Amidon me too
I just came from watching the video with baby Elijah. This was the next to watch, all I can say is what a mighty mighty God we serve! You have come so far Mary! ❤️

You two are so cute together! Its so obvious you have known each other all of your lives. Sweet!
Sunsets are so peaceful and calming and sunrises are joyful and energizing.
Dear Mary you are a trooper! You both have such beautiful hearts and are a blessing to so many 💜💜
There was a saying I got from the TV show The Librarians that was "Eat the impossible everyday..." and it reminded me of the "Do what you think you can't go" saying you'll all gave. Hope you're having a good day.
I just wanted to say that you guys brighten up my day! 😄😊 i hope you have a blessed day😄❤️
I think both sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. I never get tired of seeing either one. I love them.
The sunsets in northeastern Florida are amazing, especially over the intercoastal. 💜
Boy have you come a long way honey from this video. You’re doing so much better in 2022 thanks to that new medication. Now you have a baby and are beyond blessed. We love you take care

Congratulations on doing a handstand again! I know that was something you were anticipating. I hope it is the first of many more. Sending prayers and good wishes your way. Keep on keeping on!
Sunrises are slower and so, so beautiful!

Mary you should dye your hair purple again for CF awareness month!! 💜💜💜
Peter put Neosporin on it and make sure to keep the wound dry after washing your hands and showers.
Oh my gosh thank you! I thought I was the only one that struggled to wake up after a nap/in the morning 😵 Naps are hard...
I love both. The fresh morning sun rays and a great sunset. I can't decide
I'm not a morning person so I love a good sunset, except if I'm at the beach then the sunrise is amazing.
As always, thanks for sharing your daily life with us and educating us on CF. I also enjoy seeing what creative food concoction you come up with. In Florida we have spectacular sunsets. Like both sunrise & sunsets because its always a different painting of a materpiece in the sky. Or if the clouds are just right, making out shapes from the clouds!! Who else does that??
I like sunsets. It's so much easier to enjoy when I'm not totally sleepy from getting up early.
I like both but I think the sun rise is better because it's so pretty and peaceful and it brings light to the day!
I love you guys your so inspiring and amazing you inspire me to keep moving forward even though when it's really hard
I drank tea out of my vintage Tupperware coffee cup too! Mine is avocado green. I cannot compare to having CF but I know when I come off of the ventilator my lungs have to wake up and I always cough up some crap! Not to the degree that you do so I could only imagine. Love from Georgia!

So I'm usually not feeling well if that happens.)
anyways, I'm a sunset loving girl! And i always stop to admire them and give thanks for the beauty that my Heavenly Father put there for me to admire!
Mary, would you consider doing a video about growing up with CF? I've seen your draw my life but I'd be interested to know more about what your symptoms were like and how it affected your childhood.
I felt like I had to cough watching you struggle. I feel so bad for everything you have to go through:(
Flowers have always reminded me to trust in a higher plan when things don't seem to be going well.
Hugs.
I prefer the sunrise, but I only ever see it after a really good night sleep ✨
I love both the sunrise and the sunset - they both have different "meanings". A sunrise is God saying "good morning!" And I'm filled with instant joy! And a sunset is such beautiful way to end a day. Someone could probably word this better than I can
you are such a fighter mary. bazillion respect to you!
I know how you feel about being happy when someone's sick but not contagious! My son has type1 diabetes and catches everything that anyone has and will end up in the hospital over a simple cold. Its so hard with him being so young to keep him away from other sick children when their adults don't understand what it means for my son to get sick.
I love sunsets that involve some small white clouds because the clouds turn a pink color.
Peter...try super glue on that finger. pinch it together and glue it. It will hold it together long enough for it to heal before it wears off.
I love sunsets too. God's world is amazingly beautiful! so glad you share yours.💖💖💖💖💖
I have that same cup that you were using in the morning, Mary. That has been my favorite one since I was a little girl.
I love how at 4:04 Peter is describing his burger with pulled pork and he has to take a big gulp of the saliva that it is accumulating in his mouth because it sounds so delicious LOL!!! Mouth watering description!!!
What was the first thing you put on the bun? Mayo?
Sunrises on the east coast worth waking up for...I promise!! Drive out to the shore one day and give it a looksy!
((hugs))....I am sick right now with cold/flu..I've been coughing....and you have been crossing my mind...and wow you are strong Mary!!
Me too, Kattie. I've had a nagging respiratory thing with lots of coughing for over a week and I've thought of Mary throughout this cold. CF warriors are amazing!
They sure are!!
I love a beautiful sunrise. I live in the North West where it is almost always cloudy, so a beautiful sunrise equals blue sky and sun on the way. And we have a mountain in the East so it is really dramatic. I think it depends on where you live which one is prettier.
And I can't pick a favorite between sunrises and sunsets. Raised in Key West, Fl and I can't pick. They're equally incredible 😇
You guys are so cute! And you're always so positive! I love your vlogs!
sunsets, unless it's at the ocean, then I love the sun come up.
hope your ok and you are an inspiration to everyone and hope you are well soon xx
I just thought. Our sunset is someone else start of a sunrise. Cool
Ciara Cf Haha! You definitely have to find the positives with a chronic illness. Keep up the great work!
Ciara Cf I love how you're so positive about it! I don't even have a serious 'permanent' illness (only asthma) but what you just said made me so happy 😂😍💕
Kerryn Schilling haha I'm glad I could make you smile 😂😊
Disney Gamer yeah i don't know how people can trivialise asthma. They must just have the occasional wheeze. I live on prednisone and other steroids.
Sunrise of course, best way to start the day......Sunset of course, best way to end the day!
I wish I could include my pics of the view from our house. We have an eastern view of Mt Rainier (WA) and the sunrises over the mountain are spectacular.
