Episode 64 - We bought a second boat!
This week we finish our journey to the town of Abingdon, where we tackle our third river mooring. We make the most of the facilities, by catching up on laundry, exploring the town, and, after a disappointing morning, finally add a tender to our floating home! 🚣🏻♀️

If you can swing it, take 1000 mg of vitamin C every day up until your surgery. Make sure you have a means of putting ice on your face and do so every 2-3 hrs for the first 2 days after the procedure. Both will go a long way to manage the swelling.

I have a top tip for you Wes. Before becoming a property developer I actually trained to be a Psychologist AND I have had serious anxiety problems for more than 20 years on and off.
Two tips for the dentist....
1. If you are having an injection squeeze your hands together it distracts from the "sharp scratch"
2. The best tip and this works in any situation where you have the time to do it is stare at one thing when you are in the chair, that could be the light thing they put over you or the ceiling tiles etc, anything. The trick is to keep staring and examine this one thing, So what is it made of? notice the details of it, how did it get there? and so on.
It really works.
My boat is called KenDorR, I might have to have words with this KONDOR lot! I've said it before, you're still a pair of nutters, make sure you never change 🙂

I thought poor Wes was gonna take an Ore up the Bum, when he departed the dingy. The little boat is a great idea! I'm sure it will help you a lot when have small errands to run. This was such a great and entertaining episode. Now all you need is a portable electric trowling motor to put on the boat, so poor Wes's arm don't wear out on him half way through a trip.

I've seen boaters on youtube towing their second boat/canoe/dinghy loaded with garbage and other things when they're en route to service points. Thank you for sharing this fantastic video! Nearly peed my pants over the whole boat fiasco😂🤣hilarious start to finish. I cannot believe you both get in without one of you falling in.
Lots of ice for post procedure , something for pain, mostly liquids or very soft the first couple days, follow dentists advise to a T . You DONT WANT DRY SOCKET which can sometimes happen if you don’t do what they said. Have had 4 teens have them out, they did fine, not one dry socket. Take care, be well.🙋🏼♀️🥰
I had a 12 foot inflatable with an outboard motor, on the canal. I found that in strong wind no matter how I steered, it always turned round and went down wind. Another thing after pumping it up on a hot day and then putting it into cold water it deflated quite a bit. The first time we thought it had a puncture. Instead it was just the air cooling down and shrinking.
They can be tricky things to steer that’s for sure haha!

By the way, why don't you get a few heavy duty pegs/spikes ? Would be easier to moor your boat. That's how we do it.
We do have some pins, but honestly sometimes we are too lazy to get them out the roof boxes so tying to a tree always seems more convenient At the time, even though it usually isn’t in the end 😂

Hi, wondering if you have room for a tiny upright washer? Have seen one for narrowboats on Ula and Josh's youtube channel. Think of you both whenever I see them use it as this would make the washing so much less stressful, providing it takes sheets.
We don’t unfortunately without sacrificing a lot of space in our wardrobe which we don’t really want to do! We actually quite like our mini camping washer 😊
