I’m quite touched by your openness about yourselves. Each of you is much more emotionally stable than you sometimes think, and I love the strength of support you give each other. You are each very psychologically minded, and very generous emotionally. I agree with so many of your followers, you are a pleasure in my life. Thank you.
Thank you for answering my question about the music in your vlog. It isn't unnoticed how dedicated Wes is when it come to editing and your music choice is always spot on. I've only done a few shorts but will definitely check out the link.
Wow! Only you guys could make a Q&A so interesting. I love your format. It's a testament to you both that so many questions are about YOU rather than the boat. You both have infectious and interesting personalities. There are so many narrowboat UA-camrs but so many of us viewers want to know about you as people----not just about your boating knowledge. Kudos!
that makes us really happy to hear thank you so much!! ☺️ We really like sharing more about us and our personal journey too so we are glad there are people like you out there who enjoy it! ♥️☺️
I think one of the things you’ve learned about yourselves is that you are more confident and able to cope with different situations than you thought. Despite your neuro differences and anxieties you have managed to cope with so much and dealt well with even potential disasters. Very much stronger mentally than you thought you were xx
Really enjoyed this episode. I do hope you will be at crick it would be great to see you again. I would also like to add that having watched you for such a long time. You should be so proud of your self growth confidence and professional videos. What an example
What a brilliant video! Great questions and such a different approach rather than just sitting in front on the camera . Well done guys. I happened to watch boat time episode 1 today and can't believe how well you've done. Still the same crazy happy people but now so much more confident and capable. You should be very proud of yourselves and what you have achieved. You are both amazing and I look forward to sharing your adventures. 😊
Hi Amy, Wes and Rufus of course! We really enjoy your vlogs, having binge watched them all from the start over the past 3 months or so 😊. You have a truly wonderful vibe together, loving it ❤. Can't think of a pickled onion anymore without a nod to Amy 😂. Intending to join the narrowboating community this year, kindest regards to you both, Di and Mike
Thanks for your vlogs. I too have difficult days and watching you both while cuddling my furbaby really helps I even laugh out loud sometimes! My fur baby had to be shaved just before Christmas leaving her shivering. Helpful tip. If you see an extra large fleece in the charity shop, buy it and cut the sleeve off at the shoulder seam, cut 2 holes for legs (head goes through the cuff) giving a toastie jumper for Rufus and can be washed easily. Also Amy, cutiderm sterile hydrocolloid adhesive wound dressings are basically gel plasters that can and will stay in place for upto 5ish days and great for those who can't wear plasters (psoriasis) and are great healers. Again thanks both xxx
Lovely vlog, I really liked the way you answered questions while you did your daily stuff. Rufus is a lucky dog, I didn’t know his history, well done for adopting a stray dog from another country. We adopted a cat that we met on holiday in Spain, he’d been left behind by his owners when they moved back to the U.K. You two have grown in confidence since you started. I’d love to hear your flat bread recipe. Definitely my favourite UA-camrs. Take care. X
Thanks for sharing all your thoughts, views and insights into your life aboard GG. So informative and interesting and as per usual delivered in a very very watchable way. Roll on Friday! Thank you guys for making me smile twice a week. Xxx
We have hired narrowboats for the last 6 years and only done 3 in the spring most of them have been in December and still enjoyed ourselves just as much x
So glad to see Rufus doing so well! But you guys are great owners, honestly, not all people would do the things you do to keep their dog healthy! As Amy loves themeparcs (so do I and I would LOVE florida, very high on the list!) I wanted to suggest to look at The Efteling, such a lovely and beautifull themepark! Lots of love (Cozyrosietravels)!
Cute! Nice to walk through the day with pop up questions. There were a few I didn’t know the answers too and I was all caught up! ☺️ I’ve been making flat bread too right on the stove top! So easy and delicious! Yay!❤
Great answers to those searching questions. I think you both show amazing resilience and a willingness to put yourself out there to experience difficult things. Well done.🌟🌟
😂 This was brilliant, loved it. Soooo looking forward to Q&A episode 2. (Maybe filter out all the marriage/kids questions 🤦♂️🤦♂️) Great job guys 😜✌️💜
Wotcha both, well you answered the question I would've asked about having kids lol. Some great questions to be fair. Well done on answering them all. Also great to see my fave two youtubers watching Ed Pratt. I'm also watching his latest escapade on the Thames. 😊😊😊
I truly enjoyed learning about you and your journey aboard your narrowboat. Your show "Boat Time" is so refreshing and uplifting to many individuals around the world. Abundant blessings to you both.
This was great, but I felt so sad seeing Rufus piccy he looks so joyous now though. I am deffo of the Rufus fanclub and yours too. Love the music too Wes both of you make great vlogs together. Thank you.
Enjoyed the format of answering the questions….you two are a delight to watch and it is a great escape for me to watch your antics on the canals. I’ve learned a lot on a lifestyle I’ll never do myself!🇺🇸
Aww you guys 🥰. I've just booked my first narrowboat holiday in March (hopefully the weather will be ok) - only a few days away with the dogs (and my sister as I can't hire on my own 🤷🏻♂️), but i'm super excited. Hopefully I will have a mobile signal so I can still watch the vlogs 🙏
Thank you, I really enjoyed todays vlog. It was a nice way of doing a Q&A while still doing normal everyday things. Thanks once again. Take care and stay safe. 😊
Just a Q&A session and just while doing mundane stuff as basic as the washing up, yet somehow you made it interesting and enjoyable - more so than others who do Q&A and include action clips from various memories or events to spice it up. You two have raised the bar for canal vlogs. I bet somehow you could even make watching paint dry fun. Wait, you did that already with the boat blacking episode. Is there no limit to your vlogging talents? Tim & Jalika, Malaysia
What a lovely video I've learnt so much more about A really lovely couple.you are so right for each other it left a warm fuzzy feeling. Stay safe and warm ❤❤❤❤❤ 31:53
Loved this video 🎉. Learned a bit more about you both even though ive watched you for about 3 years.. Asked a couple of questions in the past which never answered but you did it in this video. You both have worked hsrd and do well with your life. Take care, stay safe all of you. You have lovely memories of Dupes and if you feel you dont want anymore i dont blame you. Its your lives. XX 🙋🏡🐾🐾🐾🐕👩❤️💋👨
Such a very interesting vlog! Thanks for the open and honest answers, it does explain a lot about boating and the lifestyle! It made it much more tempting now too! 😜♥️🎉
Hey guys. Thank for doing this. As far as the guitar, the best advice I can give is to just keep it somewhere you can easily grab it (hard to do on a narrowboat I'm sure) when the mood hits you, even if it's just for a couple minutes. I'm not a great player by any standard but, I have made many new friends over the years because of the guitar. People that became lifelong friends that I would have never known otherwise. Besides, women love a man who can play a guitar... hubba, hubba... 🤣 Thanks for sharing a little bit of your lives. Take care.
Sorry we missed you're departure from the marina, was lovely to meet you both.Have a lovely cruise around b,ham might catch up again soon. Tony & carol and the whippets.
I would embrace the condensation. Water condensing on a cool surface then being collected and disposed of is literally how a dehumidifier works, so that condensation is no longer in the air potentiating mould growth. Yay condensation! 🎉
Nooo! Don’t change the kitchen ! Maybe some don’t understand , That’s boat life! it’s used and loved and functions, if it’s not broke don’t fix it! X I love you kitch ❤
Could we please have a link to your bread recipe - looks yummy and I love simple recipes (assuming it is!) I don't think there's anything wrong with your kitchen cupboards! 😂 Oh and with regards to the name of your boat, surely you're both too young to remember Gregory's Girl? The film, that is.
You can't tell us that about the flatbreads and not give us the recipe!! I didnt ask this as i can't find a concise way of wording it but... I find it fascinating to think about where my parents/grandparents etc ame from, what they did, vs what I do now. My great great grandfather was an overlooker in a worsted mill, eventually becoming manager of another mill. The other side of the family has history in travelling showmen and market traders. I am a dog behaviourist and illustrator/artist, verrrrrrrry different, the things I do now were not really 'jobs' as such for my ancestors time!
I think so too, thinking there could be some seats welded on maybe but it’s awkward with our big engine board. A job for the wish list though and not the urgent list haha
Hi, if you're ever in my area I'd love to meet you and chat about some things. I'm looking at working on some designs for tiny homes and narrow boats and need some opinions from people who live the lifestyle but also I am seriously looking at leaving land behind and taking this life myself and putting my designs to the test on my own boat in the future. Please get back to me if you're at all interested in chatting as we're not far apart in age either and it'd be great to meet up and discuss my ideas with you to see what you think
Condensation and windows, my opinion not based on any real experience. Regardless of what windows you have, in the winter the humidity of the air inside the boat is higher than outside. That humidity will condense into water on the colder surfaces wherever they are. If the cold surface is your windows, you see the water and wipe it off. But, if the windows are well insulated, they will not be the coldest place, it will be under your bed or in your wardrobe. The same problem exists in bricks and mortar homes, everything is now sealed so tightly that people do not turn on their heating, this causes damp and mold. Another aspect of single glazed windows, if they are older they will be a bit leaky and allow some of the humid air to vent out, like trickle vents in some double glazing.
Given that the waterways are grimy, muddy or polluted, and you can´t jump in and swim in the canals from yr narrowboat, what is the big allure, being stuck on the Great Grime network?
I wish people would stop asking others if they plan on having children. It's downright personal. Some people can't have children and wouldn't want to discuss their private health details and reveal their emotions relating to the subject. Some couples might be trying and struggling. Some couples just don't want them. Nobody should have to justify or explain their feelings on the subject. The world has enough people procreating for pity's sake. One couple here and there choosing not to isn't going to cause a population decline. 😂
100% this! ♥️ Unless someone talks about it first, it’s just best not to ask or bring it up as like you said, it’s an extremely sensitive topic for some people.
