What other brands would you like a deep dive on? I have a couple in the pipeline - I'm currently testing out a ton of products from a brand that I think a lot of you will be very excited about! 😊
10 years ago I was on isotretinoin and my regular moisturizer (LRP) was burning my skin. My dermatologist recommended Bioderma Sébium Hydra and it save my skin. I've been a huge fan of Bioderma ever since, even though now my skin is dry and still acne prone.
I have been using their Bioderma Sebium gel moussant and love it's effect on my sensitive skin. it has helped me with breakouts and keeping my skin clear.
Awesomeness. They seem like a pretty cool company. I'd love to see a review of their Photoderm line and an explanation of the different sunscreen offerings from them. I'd also be interested in learning more about the technology behind CeraVe and Eucerin.
One of my holy grail products is the Sebium Serum actually. I love to dabble into all the products so I currently use the exfoliating mask for the ordinary and tried a bunch of other chemical exfoliants but if I had to come back to one single exfoliant to use until the end of my days it would be the Sebium serum. It's even hydrating enough that I could use it as the only product after cleansing and still be reasonably fine the morning after.
Great video! Now i understand why Bioderma worked best for me, compared to Avene and La Roche Posay. I have a query though: i got the Bioderma matt and used it for about 1-2 weeks, then started noticing separation of the ingredients. At first it was only some clear liquid before the cream, but if shaken it was fine. Then i traveled for a few days (had the Bioderma matt and Bioderma global with me, in the original packaging) and the matt one just separated entirely (it looks like patches of white solid in clear liquid) Shaking it doesn't do anything anymore, and it feels watery in the tube. The creams were new, opened just 2 weeks prior, traveled with both of them in the same conditions (backpack in trunk, AC on) and only one separated. The first time i noticed the separation i still used the cream and it seemed fine, but i was afraid to use it after that. The smell did not change, so is it still safe to use? I tried asking a lady from the pharmacy the same question and when she heard i was travelling she immediately blamed it on the heat, but the cream already started separating 1-2 days before the trip, and the other one was never affected and i'm still using it. Sorry for the long post, but i really hope somebody can tell me if i should throw away the cream or if i can still use it.
I love that you onky present small dots of products, compared to hectolitres of other beautubers, they're not even my products, but it breaks my heart nonetheless! You are my spirit animal. Also, I am not crazy about French pharmacy brands, but I do like Bioderma (and Eucerin, love my Eucerin) and I'm now actually interested in two of the products.

Oh, I didn’t know you shouldnt use that Micellar Water around the eyes! Explains why it did sting so much... I tried it a few years ago and then went back to their Eau Sensibio.

Lab Muffin Beauty Science Well, that’s what THEY said. I know Dr. Dray likes the brand, although she doesn’t recommend it because their products contain fragrance.

I would love an anti aging routine for hands ✋️😃 Spf is an obvouis, but what about other products/ingredients - since you wash your hands several times a day, do you wash away the benefits and waste money? And personally I am also worried about using ingredients that will sensitise the skin for sun exposure, thus risking doing more harm than good, since multiple hand washes means it is challenging to ensure you have spf on at all times 😟 If you are spending the day outside during summer it is easier to plan and be prepared, but you are exposed to UV all day year round 😩😩
Many people who are dedicated to sun protection just take their SPF with them and reapply throughout the day every couple hours. It’s technically what you should be doing anyway 🤷🏼♀️
Aubri I do the same. When I’m outside reapplication is usually not a problem, at least not with my current lifestyle. For me personally it’s more challinging during busy days at work. It’s indoors, but with huge windows everywhere, so I always wear sunscreen even though there’s no direct sunlight. For people who rarely need the restroom, reapplication is probably no fuss, but I am not one of those 😂 I’m also curious as to whether certain ingredients is a waste to use on hands during the day, due to frequent hand washing.
I love the Bioderma Sébium foaming gel and I got the Sébium Mat Control moisturizer and I loved it at first. After literally a few days though it started smelling different and also got reaaally liquid. I don't know what happened, should I have kept it in the fridge?

Hi can I know about sebion global thats what I'm using i never fined sensitive in uae my skin is super oily I wash it with water only and use sebiun h2o and use sebium global which is not effective much stil on my face may I know the difference
I think it's a good idea for most people! But make sure you check if it's sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate - sodium laureth sulfate (used in this foaming cleanser) is much much gentler, especially when combined with other surfactants.
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience researching surfactants is my obsession, because I have horrible scalp and hair problems, could you please make a video about different types of surfactants, how strong/gentle they are, what they remove (as in quaterniums, silicones, mineral oil etc - it would surely be interesting, especially for natural/curly hair community), how lather affects cleansing and how overall formula (addition of humectants, emollients, pH) changes everything, shortly - how much can we tell just from inci list. I know from my own experience that I used shampoo with Sodium C14 (...) Sulffonate much gentler than one with Decyl Glucoside, which surprised me at the time. I also have a quick question (I hope it's not too much): I noticed that Ordinary's Hemi Squalane is called "isoparaffin" in the ingredients list, but I thought it's reserved for petroleum derived products, can you please explain it?
I have mixed to oily skin and i have been using the sebium global (similar to sebium sensitive but a bit more concentrated i think) anytime i would have some harsher than usual breakouts and it would never dry my skin. It feels a bit tight, but not dry. I have been using it mostly at night, but sometimes also as a primer before foundation and it feels really good.

Hi, Michelle! :) i'm a doctoral student in microbiology and there is one thing that I have been wondering for quite some time now. Skin care and hair care products are relatively new things, if we look at the human history. Our skin and its microbiome have evolved to exist and coexist without these products. No doubt, use of some of them is beneficial for our health, for example, washing hands with soap helps to reduce pathogen transmission. But I'm often wondering, if our hygiene practices (e.g., daily hot, soapy showers) and different products that we apply to our skin are actually necessary or even good for our skin health from the perspective of skin-microbiome interactions. We could combine our science superpowers to explore this topic together and hopefully find some answers :) if you are interested, check your mail box - I sent you an e-mail
Agate Auzāne hello agate, I am a student of dermatology and am very interested in the microbiome of the skin and product interactions. I also currently work in a clinic with access to many patient and would love to collaborate with you on some kind of research.

Hi can I know about sebion global thats what I'm using i never fined sensitive in uae my skin is super oily I wash it with water only and use sebiun h2o and use sebium global which is not effective much stil on my face may I know the difference
Please please do Eucerin!
We keep hearing to stay away from SLS ; what is your opinion?
Can we use it on dry skin (with acnes)
So it is safe to use the Bioderma Sebium Sensitive? I mean: it won’t dry your skim? Because that’s my fear when buying products for oily skin😞😞😞
Oh! And Can I use it during the night as well? after cleansing my face? Or is it specifically for day?
I have mixed to oily skin and i have been using the sebium global (similar to sebium sensitive but a bit more concentrated i think) anytime i would have some harsher than usual breakouts and it would never dry my skin. It feels a bit tight, but not dry. I have been using it mostly at night, but sometimes also as a primer before foundation and it feels really good.
I have acne skin can i use
Is Bakuchiol not keratolytic then? Xoxo
What about the Global?
Tan bueno es que todo el mundo lo recomienda lo voy a comprar
Do you know the ph of that foaming cleanser perhaps?? 🌈
Around pH 5 👍
i can't find the links to the patents that you mentioned
Great video
Wow, I'm never this early! :-D Have you tried EVY sunscreen by any chance?
No I haven't! Where is it from?
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience It's from Sweden, but it's also sold in the U. K. and the rest of northern Europe. :-) It's my favourite sunscreen, so I wondered what you would have to say about it ^_^
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience yes LOVE evy! im from Sweden and really have trouble finding spf without whitecast as a POC... but its soooo good for mattifying as well :) Ive done a deep dive (as a laywoman only) in their spf and it seems pretty good at covering diff wavelenghts... but would love a scientific deep dive . esp as they claim that their formula is better at forming a film on the skin! lemme know if you need help getting it in australia
it's a big like for me
Hi, Michelle!
Hey any update with your observations? My dermatologist is a minimalist and doesn’t even recommend a moisturiser for me.
They really should tell us what they put on their formulas instead of these ridiculous sebo names. Science should be transparent
