Excellent. Sadly I've been failing and failing with polyglot and DUAL FORMS. What a mess. 9 hrs to finally get them on acceptably. THIS VIDEO is so exciting for me. Using Full coverage soft gel tips is the best result for me so far. I'm not good at sculpting. This method is a blessing because it doesn't leave that gross build up of product between natural nail and finger skin ( eponychium ). And this is a way to encapsulate art embellishments and glitter without a mess. WHAT A GODSEND !!! can't wait to try this today ! 😊😅
Polygel in a sculpted gel tip is meant to give a higher apex (that slight look of sloping down), so you can go longer less risk of damaging your natural nails if the extensions get knocked. When you size a nice curved tip like that, go slightly wider than sidewall to sidewall to leave room for the proper amount of polygel! It’s also ensures better adhesion if you have flatter nail plates or oily nails so the set lasts longer.
I love using polygel for my full cover nails and as you said, it makes applying the sculpted full tips sooo much easier. I still somehow manage to get some air bubbles though, but I’m getting better. 😅 I’ve also learned that you can use primer to chemically etch inside the nail tips instead of filing. Another game changer! 😁 Thanks for this vid!! 😍
When on this journey together. I've tried the poly nails awhile back and it was a total disaster. But now, I'm glad u make mistakes and show how to get better doing any of your tutorials. I've seen Tubers that has 30+ years of experience. They can't really show the "beginner friendly approach ". I'm sure that it's their intention.
One of the things I've noticed most is people not filing the surface of their polygel nails. They WILL look lumpy & bumpy, ya just have to smooth it out with a file. You should give them another try! 💜
this isn’t really the lazy girl method, she’s not using poly gel throughout the nail. She’s doing an apres dupe and just replacing builder gel with polygel to adhere the nail tip.
I never hit like (5 times total in almost 10 years) and I hit it for you. Your intro was edited beautifully Love all your mail art photos! It doesn’t Look like you tube is your career user at 7k subs but I want you to know you’re appreciated today if no one else tells you that today, especially a perfect internet stranger lol good luck!
This is a very helpful video for me. I know it was done ayear and a half ago, but I have been struggling with trying to get polygel to attach my full covers gel nails. I am using Makkart polygel, anywayI'm going to give it another shot.
I love it! They look amazing, I love your choice of glitters, clear was the perfect choice. I wanna start getting into nails a bit more and this looks like something easy enough to begin with, but I'm dreading the moment I would need to take them off, I don't wanna invest too much into an e file in case I decide I don't wanna do this anymore, is there a way to remove these nails without using a drill?
What Sara above said^ soak them off with acetone, but be aware that sometimes certain products require you to file them off, so when you go to buy nail products like hard gel, poly gel, etc. make sure they’re soak off! X
I do my nails pretty often, but these did great! They lasted until I took them off myself a couple of weeks later. The tips are really strong and didn't wear down as quickly as plastic tips, so that was a bonus!
Hi, newbie here 🙋🏼♀️ love this video, I've always been scared doing full cover tips as the glue just runs everywhere, as the polygel is thicker is it a lot less seepage going everywhere? Hope u don't mind me asking x
Hi , im new to this and really liked this video, its just what i want to try but wasnt sure about the base coat and if i needed to flash cure or not, seems like i do! Your nails turned out very pretty, mine wont be so cute but hey ho, im only learning xxxx
Yeah they do as using glue you only get a max of a few days from them as glue is a weak bond where as using gel is much stronger aswell as more flexible can even use a small bead of acrylic to do it to get the exact same wear as going to the salon for extentions
Definitely! I agree with Aaron, and also glue gets brittle over a short amount of time and loses its strength, whereas polygel, gel, or acrylic creates a bond and will last much longer.
I found your channel when looking for How To's with poly gel. Can you tell me how wide the zero is in those tips? I was reading reviews and someone mentioned they were huge and the zero was 20mm. I kinda need that for my wide thumb but she may be exaggerating as the pic said 13.5mm
They're a bit bigger than your average size 0, but not huge. In most kits, I usually use size 0 on my thumb, but can use the size 1 in this one. (the 0 is just a bit large for mine)
@@NovaKnowsBeauty I never really noticed it was so wide. I have small hands too. Just tired of the full covers not reaching exactly sidewall to sidewall
Thank you so much! They can last really well, depending on a few things. Aside from good nail prep, use the tips that are made from gel, because they will bond to the polygel/gel that you use to apply them. If you use plastic tips, they won't work quite so well.
i etch the inside of my apres full cover tip and use polygel to adhere them but they still manage to come off leaving the polygel behind. how do i stop that
Can you tell me what I did wrong. I roughed up both my nai l and the nail form, set looked perfect bit very first night the nail forms started popping off leaving the polygel nail on my fingers. Why did the forms pop off? Thanks in advance.
If you use plastic tips (instead of tips made from gel or acrylic), the product won't really bond to the tip. Instead, it ends up basically working like a dual form. The tips I used here are made from soft gel (they should be linked in the description) and Makartt has some made from acrylic. Another key is using just a thin layer of product to attach the tip to the nail. Hope this helps!
You can chemical etch the tips with some non-acid primer or protein bonder too. I use ABS plastic tips for this method often and they don’t pop off easily if you buff the tip and primer etch it a little. I use MiaSecret Xtrabond.
Have you ever tried using gel tips as a dual form? Where u can take off after? I don’t like the way dual forms fit to my nail & I think the full gel tips look to bulky on me? I can only find videos where they use plastic full tips and they can take off after..I really want it to work so all my Apres and gel tips don’t go to waste? Ty for ur videos!💜
When u said ur pinky seemed smaller than u wanted it, it’s probably because of how much the poly gel shrinks those clear tips. I hate that so much on my thumb, I need to find a kit with odd sizes in it for not like huge but wider set nails. That thumbnail is such a bummer
Not if the tip is made gel because gel adheres to gel but if it’s plastic I would think it would but I’ve seen several people do this method with plastic tips also and they stay
I hope with all my heart that each and every one of you are doing well. 💜

Hey did you take off the tips or leave them on
So you don't pop this off like forms after curing?

I was using primer but still etching. Thank you so much lol!!!!

I have always done just plain, same color polygel. I’m ready to branch out and fly!!! Hahaha! Thank you for this video! Very informative!!! ❤
Sooooo pretty 😍 I never thought of doing glitter this way so much easier than faffing around trying to encapsulate thankyou so much for sharing 💖
Love these nails so much. Femi beauty is an absolute lifesaver for this method.

Yes i love using the femi beauty method for polygel
Poly gel holds soooo much better !!!
I seriously enjoy you lol, you make these videos fun 💕
Trying these out today
Your funny!! Love it!
Idk if she’s using Alcohol for
Slip solution but it works amazingly!! Makes it so much easier to shApe the gel
Alcohol! 😁
Those are my favorite nails I own so many boxes of them in different lengths and shapes.
I'm in love with this technique and also your voice!

Love, love, love those nails!!!
These are gorgeous
I love these nails! Always learn so much from your videos, I was really looking forward to your next one 😍 perfect timing!
Beautiful nails. That glitter amazing. xx
Lovely tutorial! And you have a wonderful personality 💕. How would you remove these nails? Soak or file off or both?
Thank you so much! 🤗
I always file, but these tips are made of *soft* gel, so you can absolutely soak them off if you choose.
Gorgeous! I do this on myself! But I was wondering if I fully cured nail and used nail glue to adhere , would it work?
I love it! They look amazing, I love your choice of glitters, clear was the perfect choice. As long as you don’t press to hard, yes.

What is the slip it solution , alcohol? How do I tell if my primer is acid free, are you using a rubber base coat
Beautiful
I always use acrylic to put on my nails. No lamp needed and stay on long time
Are you using this method? I was thinking of using acrylic with this method but I want my nails to stay without damage.
Absolutely stunning 🔥
Can i use glitter gellak like you do with the glitters?
What do you put on top of nail for strength
This gel looks smooth the one i buy is so thick!
I just hit “like”, “ subscribe”, and “ notifications “!
Can these be soaked off since the polygel is done over a full tip?
How would you do refill on this type of method?
Did you pop the forms off?????
New to your channel, this nail set is beautiful 😍
Thank you so much! I love the full cover tips made out of gel, it makes everything so easy! 😁🤗
Love 😍
Do these last longer than using press on nails with nail glue?

I’m the same!!
My solution is empathie what can i use instead?
Any easy way to get these off? Its so hard for me to get poly gel off.

@@NovaKnowsBeauty Thanks for the info
I'd also say that my thumbnail size is kinda somewhere in the middle. I don't feel like it's really big, but it's by no means thin & sleek either. 😂
@@NovaKnowsBeauty I never really noticed it was so wide. I have small hands too. Just tired of the full covers not reaching exactly sidewall to sidewall

Etch it and than prime it .

@@judyflakne8285 you might have your tips sized too small
And with all this curing you didn’t feel the need to go up a size in the nails?
🤔
Love yr videos. I'm a introvert too and 2020 made me worse. I absolutely hate going out
I love you

U get bubbles because ur suppose to hold it under the lamp till it’s dry
