    I've always wondered why more people don't do this, putting on a tip before doing the dual gotten application! Because you get the best of both worlds!!

    There's going to be a lot of lifting on the side walls and on the white tips due to not filing the shine off!! But I'm so glad I've watched this video I can hopefully do French manicure like this

      She eventually did something to clean that white residue at the cuticle after her clear coat. I just wish she showed us the technique.

    Maybe I missed it, but did you only apply the base coat on the nail bed? Do the tips not need base coat to help the poly gel adhere to the nail tip ? I love this idea! But wanted to ask before I tried it , thanks :)

    • @seimmingsecret
      @seimmingsecret 3 роки тому +3

      I’m not an expert at all but I’m guessing since gel is essentially plastic that they bond, but don’t take my word!

    • @plantylady
      @plantylady 3 роки тому +11

      I watched a few other videos using this method and I remember someone suggested buffing the top of the white tip and filing the smile line to blend with the nail bed so that when you put the poly gel ontop, it helps minimize any air bubbles.

    • @Ms2unique4u
      @Ms2unique4u 4 роки тому +6

      It looked like she probably just used cuticle oil. I’m not sure why she didn’t at least use a gel cleanser or alcohol to clean off nails. At the very least she could have had the person wash their hands.

    • @terrijones9152
      @terrijones9152 Рік тому +1

      I saw that too. Thought maybe she should have taken a little more time clearing the cuticle area because it will cause lifting eventually.

  • @alarafair1714

    You didn’t show a lot of the part concerning the French manicure nail tips. You glued on the tips then cut down the length to how long you wanted them correct? Are the half moons below the white parts noticeable?

  • @kimmassey1658

    I just think the white tips could of atleast been cut bk to the same size on every finger so they didn't look odd.

      The forms help to create the perfect apex without a lot of additional manual sculpting. The way she's doing it is the fastest way, especially if you are a beginner or doing it at home 😉.

    I hope that was not a paying client. Time is money, so any way to reduce time is always good, but at least create beautiful nails. Those cuticle and side walls looked terrible and you got a huge bubble on the thumb nail. If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail as they say.
