I love the way Liverpool is modernizing and extending their old stadium instead of building one of those modern fancy arenas. Those are quite interchangeable and have the feel of a theme park, whereas this preserves the historic atmosphere which cant be replaced or imitated.
Seriously ? Modern , fancy , Theme Park ? Do I detect a little envy here ? I'll wait till it's finished, but I think when completed ( on time BTW) I'll wager you'll be changing your views when you experience Everton's new stadium

I hope we could get at least the Kenny Dalglish Stand upgrade like the main stand as well. The Kop End would be difficult as there is a road behind it.
Not to mention we would have to go without the Kop end for a season or two if they decided to do it. It would be possible to do with current space, but they'd have to demolish the entire stand and make it a much higher degree of angle - kind of like the Yellow Wall of Dortmund.
I wouldn't like a 2 tiered Kop (it also wouldn't be called a Kop if it was 2 tiers).

It’s impossible to extend the the kop stand as there a road that can’t be re routed with the Kenny stands there’s other housing which might not allow us also I believe its impossible to destroy the kop stand to rebuild as I’m not sure if we need an all seater by footballing law but also if we did re build it then we need more rook for accommodation within the stadium which we don’t have unfortunately

So glad that they decided to upgrade Anfield, rather than build a new stadium. So much rich history, attached to Anfield.

The anfield road end is the same height as the main stand. The kop is the same as Kenny dalglish. So it’s not 4 with different heights, ya Berk.
@@richarddeane8433ok so it does look really nice with a stadium that is symmetrical and goes all the way round the ground so all the corners are filled in too, but what you’re forgetting is that the capacity of anfield will be about 10000 more than Everton’s new one… but it’s not really about that, it’s the fact that anfield is probably the most well known stadium in the world apart from the national stadiums such as Wembley, maracana and the azteca and maybe the bernabeu and nou camp…. Possibly the san siro too lol, but it’s definitely the most well known In England and it’s definitely got the most famous terrace in the world which is the kop… for a stadium which is a significant amount smaller than the other ones I mentioned it has an aura and mystique about it that is famous and well known throughout the world…. And I for one am extremely glad that we stayed where we are. I’m also glad for Everton that they are getting a new one because as a proper scouser, it’s Merseyside first and everyone else after that. I want both clubs to be the top 2 in the country like the 80s when the city was buzzing

I think the other stands have been developed as much as Possible short of LFC buying a row or two of houses further development will be difficult .
@@ThomasDoubting5 people would sell those houses without second thought, thats for sure...they are just waiting biggest paycheck of their lives.....but Kop stand is a problem because of the street and cars but we will see

Surprised you didn't get tickets in the upper tier given that the lower tier has been open since the start of the season but that apart it's always a good time to get more footage 👍
It was the test event and they gave you the seats, we didn’t pick them as it wasn’t reserved seating. Think they wanted people in both upper and lower to test all of the turnstiles.

hey mate i was supposed to come and see one of our games in the run up for the title in 2020, liverpool vs villa. covid happened. we were on a victory tour, i could have been there in anfield. i have been a fan for 16 years. i still havent been to liverpool. if i got tickets in this area i wouldnt complain. up the fucking reds were going to win it again.
i had to cancel my whole trip. i had been planning it for years. it was really hard for me when we won the trophy. because i thought i would be there during the run. it just fucking sucked. i cant wait to go to anfield.
the covid year victory has always felt hollow
the stadium was empty. we have to do it again with virg and trent and robbo. with the core of the team. we have to do it again.
The old lower tier still looks awful..... Not sure what the plan is for that space. But it's not great compared to newer ground these days
The club are looking at ways to utilise that extra space but it's something that will be done in the summer, hardly a priority right now.
Hopefully the anfield crowds can spur our players on!!!
i heard no lifts inside and if you have bad knees or hips that a problem??
and still huge amount to be done . make shift lights, outside. lots of paint
work to be done inside, cladding on roof still not done. fanzone needs to

Shame all who turned up wont be getting season tickets, most of the new season ticket holders probably didn't bother going.

Yes you did need a ticket and the application process was for season ticket holders and official members only.
@@Steve-io5oh ok then m8 thanks for letting me know I cant get a ticket myself these days anyway through the offiicial membership system I used to be a member and know someone who could sort out tickets myself🤔 but I just have to pay way over the odds unfortunately now if I ever go to a game at anfield now occasionly.

Shows how tight it’d been just the minimum requirements in place for the Utd game. Sure it’ll be properly finished in the next few months

Yeah
not half way but yeah
Yeah, the original contractors Buckingham Group went bust which contributed to the delays. Rayner Rowen Construction, along with a number of other contractors, were taken on to replace them. Constructions projects can be difficult because unless you manage things very carefully, you're vulnerable to price rises of materials etc.

The capacity will be 61 thousand, but for safety and segregation it will always be under, the same as when the main stand was completed, it was never over 54 thousand, it was always around 52-53 thousand, the only time it was at full capacity just over 54 thousand was Liverpool v Bayern Munich in a legends game when there was no segregation. Let's hope there's no problems getting into the stadium with smart phones , lots of fans still having problems, and need to go to the ticket office every game and get cardboard ticket with name on, they should never of changed the way fans got into the stadium with their season tickets, if it ain't broke don't fix it..

I still dont like the first new stand tunnel. The fact that the players especially our players have to bend right towards the anfield sign and towards the pitch. Needs to be sorted. Walking straight towards it has better effect.
