Say what you want about FSG, but the way they've handled the redevelopment of Anfield is brilliant. They've kept the old school design with some modern features sprinkled over it. Beautiful and timeless.
The 1970s Main Stand didn't 'go up' in 1973. Construction took place from 10 April 1970 to 29 November 1971 and was in full use for spectators from December 1971 onwards. It was officially opened on 10 March 1973.
Anfield has seen so much in its life it’s unbelievable. I am proud to call this stadium Home. I hope that one day FSG at least try to expand the Sir Kenny stand and Redevelop the Kop into matching the Main and A.R. stands. YNWA 🔴.
@@InfamousB9Thank goodness we weren't named that.If we were, we wouldn't have won trophies since our formation in 1892.Just take a peep at Everton's record.
Anfield is far too small for a club of our stature. One of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the best football teams in the world. We are an institution of international repute that deserves a modern, state of the art mega arena.
@@anthonyburn1010 Why are you making assumptions? Soul is created by the crowd and the supporters will always maintain the same enthusiasm and passion that only Liverpool supporters can. Don’t forget it would also help increase gate receipts which would help in building a successful team amongst many other benefits. It is inevitable irrespective of our views that eventually we will need a bigger stadium purely because we are competing with clubs like Man U, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich etc etc …who have bigger stadiums.
I kind of agree. Once the road end is complete, that's what anfield will be for a long time. Yes, the atmosphere is amazing, but I don't understand how it can't happen in a different, larger ground.

Hopefully it will create the same atmosphere
Disagree entirely, Anfield nights are special for a reason, do you really want a soulless mega stadium like what Spurs have? I don't.
