As fun as Dharoks is at moons whenever it decides to noodle for multiple hits in a row it feels 10x worse than any other weapon because of the incredibly slow attacks.
It may be slower but it’s more accurate and hits hard. Even colossal blade is better than whip+ d def, it may be hard to believe but accuracy is better with a lot of bosses.
When using dharok's here set your quick prayers to piety and redemption. Sitting at 20-30 hp is pretty safe and none of the bosses really hit enough to stack you out from there. Saves you from healing too much with food then having to use a locator orb to lower your health again
Great guide. As soon as I realized you were the one who made the colosseum guide that got me my quiver in 3 minutes of video, I watched this whole thing. I was not disappointed, great tips. Subscribed I still am curious what the best spec weapon is - maybe DDS beats Voidwaker at Blood Moon because of the -2 armor?
Another overlooked aspect of Eclipse Moon is her secondary mechanic which gives a "glancing blow" for your next attack, reducing your damage. This happens if she hits with all 3 attacks of the triple hit, so having high defense and good armor is important.
of note also is that since defence is the only thing between you and a big dps reduction, hasta being the bis one-handed tank weapon actually matters a tiny bit. fang/hasta on crush/tentacle lets you keep your bss/dfs equipped at all times which is nice compared to something like bludgeon or the maracas, and fang being 5t is compensated for by eclipse parry phase (you could still bring a double-hitting switch to exit that phase early on low hp but honestly i hate managing 2h/1h switches unless mandatory). also i suppose if you were a psycho you could just bring hasta and switch attack styles instead of weapons. bonus tip: the hits come in increasingly strong triples, so wait to cast venge until you take the second hit
The reason dragon dagger and dharok works but maucahitl doesn't is because maucahitl actually does two separate attack rolls to hit, so it'd be like making two normal attacks back to back, the first hit is capped at the bosses current hp -1, the second hit recognizes the boss as being already at 1hp because of the timing of it. Dharoks works because the damage cap the boss has doesn't properly account for the damage scaling of the set effect.
Idk imo Blood is the slowest by a long shot. The fact his 3rd hit heals so much makes it so much longer than the others. Eclipse can literally be killed in like 20s because of the shadow parry phase and equipping a BGS/DH Axe/Hally.
All you have to do for eclipse is bring your best 2H weapon for the stun phase. I will stand outside and wait for the ball phase to end before going in because I can one phase him if I bring a godsword for stun phase. That phase ignores weapon attack speed so you can just do insane damage during that phase leaving him at 1 hp. The game will not allow you to kill him in this phase so you'll hit 0s if he's already at 1 hp
I've been consistently running them with Abyssal whip for blood moon amd then D mace for eclipse and blue, but im changing the attack style between the two accordingly. Not the fastest, but im poor and its consistent.
I’m an ironman using what I got and I’m using full Veracs, flail for the blue, dragon spear for eclipse and dragon scim for blood. And I think that’s working pretty well. I should time it but I think each boss is about 2 mins my base stats are 70 atk 80 str and 80 def
Eclipse has been fastest moonfor me funny enough with dharoks. I stay at 30 health and if I catch it during a mirror phase I can do all 5000 health before it ends. Blood takes the longest for me due to its rng healing
Elder Maul and Crystal Halberd also just as easily do this from my experience, no need to camp low hp with full Dharoks Blood Moon is faster with a whip and dragonfolire shield because of its healing Dharoks probaby shines at blue moon, tho dual macus are great there on their own
At which point is it just better to use the best weapon you have, regardless of style? For example, my best crush weapon is the d mace, so I've just been using saeldor vs. Blue Moon cuz I assumed saeldor just outclasses to the point the style doesn't matter
Its not super high, saelder on stab out does hasta on stab at eclipse, i found that the sulphur blades which is lower tier than d scim out does blade on blue moon bc of the extra guaranteed 5 dmg from being a 2hit wep
@@jonmacdonald2193 Bludgeon has higher melee Str, but the double hit splats of Maracas likely means that you'll get faster kills on average with them. So normally, Bludgeon will be stronger, but against Blue Moon specifically, Maracas are probably better.
Guys ffs just use the damned Zammy spear set it to shared and rip through all boss's at a fairly fast speed, 90 str, 80 att, 80 def, I do the whole run in 6 minutes, Zammy spear, Dharoks armour, nezzi faceguard, firecape, and prims
well i guess im saying that from the perspective of my gear, where i always down blue and blood in one special. but with worse gear it could be equal speed or even faster

yea, i see the merits of using that setup to avoid damage, which especially helps at blood moon. it's not that great for damage though, even against blue moon
Save your specs for the other two or use a heavy single hit weapon, multi hits suck ass against eclipse because it takes -4 damage from each hit (-8 total).
Due to their 0 defense bonus and the way blood and blue take additional damage every hitsplat you'd do way more dps with a 4 tick weapon. Especially maucahitl against blue moon.
the main source of its healing is if it hits you, it hits you 3 times and it heals itself 1x the damage of the first hit, 2x the damage of the 2nd hit, and 3x the damage of the 3rd hit (before last week it was 5x the third hit). So basically if it hits you with its 3rd hit it's gonna be healing for 50+ at a time. and for your other question, you can ctrl+click to walk, might need to enable that in settings first
Eclipse moon is alot faster in my opinion. It's the only boss that can take damage during its special attack phase. Rapier owns it. I DWH spec them all when I start. Then I use the rapier , abyssal bludgeon and tentacle whip.
Soulreaper axe is literally god tier. On eclipse you only use it during the special attack where it throws you in the middle, it always gets it down to 1 hp, so you just SOul reaper axe spec on the last hit and boom hp back. Blue moon you put on crush, you can hit 7-8 times before a special, on blue moon you can actually build up stacks on the one special attack after you get your weapon back. Blood moon you get HP BACK on jaguars, and free stacks. Its absolutely godtier. Its literally SO FREE if you just spec on your last hit when you need to. Everything dies so quick.
Funny how nobody knows about it. Been using it since day 1 and it's better than anything else on that Eclipse phase. And close in dps with scythe on other bosses. Plus it's getting buffed soon. Wiki doesn't have it on the gear setup, however it is bis for eclipse and 2nd best for the other 2.
I am the only guy running it on the world ii play on. I actually was called stupid yesterday while on eclipse stun phase. Yet I exited the room before him everytime.@@sebibloo3295

My best stab weapon is the dragon sword. Should I use it during the eclipse moon normal phase? I have better non-stab weapons (whip, duel macuahuitl)
if youre like 80s in combat stats with decent gear whip probably works out to be best
If you can afford a whip, abyssal dagger is in the same price range and a much better stab weapon. Doubles as a spec weapon too.
