The audacity of this dogwater company is hilarious. For those that don't know, Kevin Vo was fired from FT Speed on 12/13/2022 in a disgusting way. Buy your parts from somewhere else than FTSpeed or Subispeed folks; support somewhere that supports its employees and treats them with respect. An 8-year, passionate, face-of-your company employee deserves the respect and courtesy of at least a conversation being had about any conflicts of interest or things that would necessitate termination of employment if continued. To outright fire him out of the blue without giving him a heads up or notice that something he is doing/saying will not fly and deny him the ability to make an informed decision on what his options are going forward reflects poorly upon FTSpeed/Subispeed. In a game where you just play the middleman, I will gladly take my business elsewhere to some other middleman that isn't FTSpeed/SubiSpeed; there are a plethora of other options out there that can access more or less the same catalogue of items. FTSpeed/Subiespeed did Kevin Vo dirty, when Kevin Vo was a SIGNIFICANT part of why the company is as successful as it is today - hopefully yall's marketshare takes a deserving hit and Kevin lands somewhere that will treat him better and be worthy of the good-business his passion and efforts bring forth.
Skip Barber grants you licensing for not just amateur, but also professional racing (mostly through SCCA). The biggest barrier for most people is money though, since many people would have to buy their own cars in order to race. There are teams that accept new drivers though and I personally know a few people who have gone the SCCA route and have ended up in series like IndyNXT
@FTspeed Thanks for coming out to the school, Kevin. I just randomly came across this video. I was the guy running Pit Lane etc. Hope you can make it out to another school. Drive Fast, Take Chances! 😎
Funny...after driving my wrx, my hearing takes a while to return to 'normal' because of all the (road) noise. The SBRS race driver stuff is nice, but have you done there road/performance driving school. That is truly a driver's education.
Super cool It must have been your best car experience ever and I can see it on your reactions but that's all I can see unfortunately. Not a single full lap from the onboard cam?
Your thumbnail shows Lando Norris and you, your title says "Average drive vs F1 Driver" yet none of your content was about it... misleading click bait is what it is. Shame on you!
Did you hit up any of the hill country/backroads while you were in Austin? I used to live there with a miata and s13 there's a lot of them there! Always wanted to do the Skip Barber school but I moved out of Austin before the track opened up.
I did the 2007 Eastern Series after the end of the Western (raced at Laguna Seca a few times). Finished 1 in Sportsman on my first time racing anything, it was great. BEST times EVER. Didn't get sponsors for step two (32 years old), missed the boat. But, It is an amazing experience.
Oh man I'm jealous! I looked at the prices and it seems to be around 7.5k USD for 3 days. Might save up and do it one of these days 🙏
3600 in October in Indy.
I was in the same class as you! That's me at 5:26 waiting to get in my car
The way you edit videos is so satisfying!! Love this content!

Awesome 3 days. Wish they had this experience in Australia.

Damn that's so cool! Maybe I'll need to save up and do this one day, the class is expensive AF...that's like a super charger for my BRZ.

Clickbait. No F1 driver involved.
What a blast, glad you had the opportunity.
7.5k is definitely a lot of money...

Not even remotely jealous of this experience, so amazing!

Do you get your racing license after this? Or do you have to do another class for it?
That looks so awesome next time take me with
