The actress was in labor when she was singing this. She didn’t say anything until after she finished cause she didn’t want anyone to panic.
Really interesting learning that the animation actually reflects how the song would have been sung. Little details like that are why I watch reactions like this.

Fun fact: even if the fundamental freq was completely missing, if all the overtones are sufficiently present in the audio spectrum associated with that frequency, your brain just fills in the fundamental as though it were there (ie you'll hear the pitch of the fundamental though it won't sound as full as it would if it were actually present)
During the recording of this song, Stephanie actually went into labor/began to have contractions, and I think that may have really upped the sound of this ngl
So Stephanie Beatriz the voice of Mirabel was over 9 months pregnant when she recorded. 2 days later she gave birth. Whew!
She actually mentioned recently she was IN LABOR during recording and didn't tell anyone cause she didnt want anyone to freak out lol
