EP162 Work on the firewall of the Fisher Youngster

- In this video you will see what I have been up to for the last few weeks, between doing work for work at home and being tired from the illness (which now seems to be under control). I do hope to do more work on the Fisher Youngster as the weather becomes less settled and I do less flying.
My videos are not intended to be instructional for building aircraft or the kit, they are to share how I am progressing and my methods. You may get ideas and tips for building an aircraft. My methods are those I have learnt or developed over time with aircraft, cars and boats. IF YOU USE MY METHOD ON YOUR AIRCRAFT, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Feel free to comment and give advice or ask questions, I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.
Good to see an update, Algy. Best wishes, here's to the next one. 👍
@@clearprop the weather is getting worse so there will be less flying and more building I'm sure.
Иншааллах1 когда нибудь и я соберу свой собственный летательный аппарат. Спасибо большое вам за ценные уроки и советы!
You are very welcome.
First.
Nice to see you back at it.
Good to be back at it. :-)
God to see you making some progress with the build. Cheers Michael
I am sure God did see me make progress but it was good that you also looked at my video 🙂It is only a little bit of progress but I do feel a little more awake in the evenings so should be able to make a little more progress.
You have to get the flying in when you can Algy, the weather will break all too soon and the nights will pull in. Seems no time at all since I landed back at Nayland at 21.00 after Solstice fly in! 😊
@@JodelFlyer very true, autumn is already here, thankfully Cromer drains well.
😊
🙂
👍
@@Lawiah0 thanks as always.
Good tor see that you are still tinkering with your project. I'm finding it to warm to spend too much time in my shed (an Jan is keeping me busy in the garden.
It has been very warm in the workshop and I have been enjoying flying too much , trying to catch up on my normal hours, still about 10 hours behind last year at this time.
@@flyingkub get the flying in whilst the weather is good.
@@stevewallace1359 I will do my best; that said, I am getting some flight time at work as well, doing testing.
Are the floating connectors there to reduce vibrations or deal with thermal expansion?
They are there to allow a degree of miss alignment when you first put the cowl on you don't tighten those ones full until the fixed ones are in; it is better than having over size holes in the fibreglass.
WB :) Have you flown a youngeter before? are they a easy to fly? One is for sale locally.
@@mindfulmunchkin1215 no I have not had the pleasure of flying a Youngster but I have flown a classic in the USA and it handles very well.
