Ahh full circle, she scared him at the alley now it's his turn xD ... Was a nice movie , nice little surprise ... She became more open to cheese stuffs and he became more confident ... That's nice , guess you just need to find the right person ;) I recommend Mr. Church ;)
I honestly think his problem wasnt confidence. It was denial. He knew that Jane didnt 'like' him and he just didnt want to admit it. He was confident with Aubrey because he could see she was reacting to him. Everything else was just a matter of inexperience.
michmirich guess you right, his denial in regards of Jane made him seen that he lacked confidence while with Aubrey was the other way around which I reckon that could be seen in the piano scene and the bedroom scene with Jane (he was so fed up with her BS and with himself) ... Very nice observation ;)
my interpretation of it is that he is Dave during his junior, sophomore, freshman year. He never makes a move, so its never more than a platonic relationship. I'm probably reading too much into it. Hes likely just a classmate. He probably felt like he was intruding on a private convo 😂
Aubrey nails this scene. I have felt that passion and just plain heat of the moment. I wonder how Britt gets into that role. Has she been there before. I almot bet so, If you have never felt that love and passion you can't begin to understand it. Only my thought.

I like how it addressed a number of issues without filling the movie with a bunch of politically correct bu11sh1t or Go Evil and Unnatural Woke agenda garbage. Britt's character gave me hope that not all young women have bought into the crap liberal feminist agenda of destroy and emasculate all men. She actually wants to meet a guy, talk to him and get a relationship foundation. I recommend this movie to young adults (which I have not been for quite a few decades).
