People in the comments: JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING/CAN RELATE TO SOMETHING DOES NOT MEAN IT IS NOT VALID OR REAL. Love, cis woman who see people being happy with who they are and realises that's perfect and absolutely none of my business.
I've seen their pictures and they look way better without moustaches and without those painted eyebrows. I'm all about facial hair tho and I'm sure there is a more suitable style for both of them but well maybe they don't have much facial hair so they can't really do anything else... 1 year on T is not enough to have full beard for most transguys or non-binary folks so I really think that it's because it's the only non-patchy area...
Not true, I just reached my funding goal after roughly 4 months. I have everything I need now. If you calculate your budget to include the fees from GFM and WePay, and you utilize social media and other outlets to get the word out, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to communicate your need and succeed at your campaign.
Destiny Price I don't use tumblr. I used Facebook, and I shared it on my nearly empty twitter a few times. Nearlybevery single donation was through FB friends or friends of friends. I shared nearly every day for a few months, then about once or twice a week. I provided updates, as well. The sharing helps. I identify within the binary, and I know non-binary people who've had insurance cover part of their procedure as non binary patients. Just because you know someone with a bad experience using GFM doesn't mean it's bad for everyone. MK and Ash seem to be doing good with sharing and getting the word out so I'm sure they'll do a good job.
I respect the pronoun changes of people to an extent, but I've always find getting my head around the "they/them/their" really difficult. It's hard to distinguish between who they're referring to, and it all seems a bit overcomplicated and impersonal. Sorry if this comes across as disrespectful.
Eileen Stevenson In honesty, it's so much easier in swedish. We have the 3 official pronouns "han" (he), "hon" (she) and "hen" (gender neutral). It's curious that US and UK haven't created their own word for it yet since it's one of the most spoken languages.
I hope someone soon invents a new pronoun instead of they/them haha. I have non-binary friends but still watching this I was like "oh so how many people were in the bathroom?" lol
I'm non-binary myself and this is exactly what I thought for the longest time. You'll get used to it, though, but it might take a while. Now it feels 100% natural to use they/them pronouns to me, but a lot of times I wish there was a separate pronoun as well.
Phan Is My Sexual Orientation No, because 'they' in listed as a gender neutral pronoun, or a pronoun to use for someone of unspecified sex in the dictionary. You could at least try to look stuff up before claiming to know anything.
Its just like the two gay twins. Before they were two, there was only one sperm. It doesn't surprise me that they both ended up trans. They were the same person before the split.
These two need a channel! I love that they are not afraid to tell their story and id love to hear more and follow their journey. I love you MK and Ash❤️️ keep being exactly who you are! I'm an identical twin too! Twin power👯♂️
This was such a lovely story! Also, it made me really happy their names are MK and Ash because it made me think of how my sister and I call each other MK and Ash sometimes like Mary-Kate and Ashley (our fav celebrities). Much love to all four of you.
He looks like serial killer from the '80s. And a lots of hair everywhere...sorry its just disgusting even if they are boys now...or always...or before too...
transgender means that you want to transition to the opposite sex not just because you don't identify with the gender you were born with. hence the term trans. to say the latter is really destructive to say. so they aren't non-binary. they are trans. or faking all of it.
trans-gender. Trans as in "to cross over" or change. They identify outside of the gender binary of male and female, hence nonbinary, but as they do not identify as the gender they were assigned at birth, they have "switched" genders. Transgender. Being transgender has nothing at all to do with medical transition and there are MANY trans people, male female and nonbinary, who can't or simply choose not to medically transition. That does not make those people less valid in their identities and it doesn't mean you can't still SOCIALLY transition (using chosen name and pronouns, living and presenting as your true gender). Gabi, honestly your logic has very little actual logic to it and you sound poorly educated on the matter so please do not use public forums to push that misinformation on others.
This is such a great video. I'm not as familiar with transgender stories and point of views and I loved this video because in a small way I can associate with both MK and Ash's growing up.
this is really interesting for me to watch as an identical twin myself!! i identify as nonbinary, but my twin identifies as a cis female. unlike mk and ash, my twin and i were always opposite, her always leaning towards the femme and me leaning towards the masc. it's really interesting to think about this on a biological and psychological level when it comes to identical twins. thank you for sharing!!
They seem like really cool people. My english teacher in high school had a discussion on if we should have a singular gender-neutral pronoun in the English language. These two people are perfect examples on why we should. Using they/them is confusing at times and it would make it easier for non-binary folks everywhere to be referred to.
These people can do whatever they want with their lives/bodies, but I wish people understood that saying that you're non-binary AND trans is really hurting the trans community. You cannot transition to no gender, it makes no physical sense. If you want to keep your female body but want to have a masculine outward appearance, then you're just an androgynous woman. If you want to have a male body and want to have a feminine outward appearance, then you're an androgynous man. If you want to have both parts of a male and female, then you're intersex. Being "masculine" or "feminine" is not some new gender; those traits are just a part of your personality and they have always existed. It really seems like these people are still not totally sure what they identify as yet (and that this is just a step closer to the answer), but if you want to have a male body, be on testosterone, and have an outward male appearance I don't know why they would consider themselves anything but trans-men.
Ketchme17 speak for yourself. as an "actual" trans person (lmao wtf is that), transitioning as a non-binary person is very possible. it's not about tranistioning into the opposite sex. it's about transitioning so that you feel better about your body and dysphoria, and it is very much so possible to transition into a more gender-neutral body.
I love how tiff and jess just let them speak amongst themselves and express themselves, telling their stories freely with no judgment and complete acceptance ❤️
literally my mind is blown right now. I saw the thumbnail for this video and said, whoa those people look familiar. AND WELP. send them all your love and support they're both awesome
Phan Is My Sexual Orientation i suggest you open your damn eyes. they/them has been used to refer to people whose gender was unknown for ages. you gonna go and tell facebook that it needs to take an english class because it refers to people who haven't set up their gender as "them", too? get your head out of your ass
So sorry you are going through that. I hope you can find other people around you who DO believe you because your feelings are legitimate. Don't give up!
The Challenge Channel hi there, have you tried showing educational videos about what being trans is to your mom? Show her stories about trans kids (Jazz Jennings). Have a conversation with her and explain to her exactly how you feel. The struggles you have as a trans kid, etc. It may take a while, but she will have to understand eventually. Good luck!
Raquel Maksoud I tried but my mom is not believe me and my brother make fun of me for it calling me little girl aka I'm trying to transition female to male
I'm really not trying to be rude I'm just confused everytime MK or Ash refers to the other as "they" because I always think of that as plural but they're both only talking about one person
Not sure it's possible for them to say "like" any more than they did. Like, expand, like, your, like, vocabulary you, like, boring, like, people. Like.
The Hall Zoo i think your life is boring if you decide to come for how people speak. most languages have an easier and quicker version of the terms "as if" and "said". besides that, it's ALSO used similarly to "um" and "er." please take a seat.
I remember being in class and these kids asking me if I was gay. When I responded no, they asked if I was bi. When I responded no, they acted as if I was lying. Like bitch, you don't know who I'm fuckin, just because I refuse to wear dresses and only wear jeans and unisex tshirts!
This video really changed my opinion on transgenders and really opened my eyes... It's not that I wasn't accepting its just I didn't really realize how much they really weren't who they truly were
Ok, we've established they are different. So why do trans people get offended when you call them by their sex? I'm not misgendering them. Im positively sexing them. All that is necessary from now on when we find ourselves in these situations where a person says, "excuse me, you misgendered me." Is to respond with, "no, I'm not referring to your gender when I say hey man, I was referring your sex!"
AstralBliss because trans people want to be referred by their correct pronouns. for example i have a friend who's trans, so he was born a girl and now is a boy. and some people say "hey girl" to him and he gets offended bc that's not who he is. his sex has nothing to do with his gender. he's a boy. and calling him a girl bc of his sex is wrong. it doesn't make it okay bc he was born a girl.
If you are breaking ribs because of binding, don't do it. No matter how body dymorphic you say you are, you aren't being forced to bind by anyone, I mean seriously.
+Infinity Roza it's so hard mentally not to bind, that it makes physical damage worth it. Obviously I don't want to hurt myself, but if i didn't bind I would spend all my time extremely uncomfortable, and I don't think I could handle being in public without binding
Ethan Walker I'm saying for these twins personally, they should use a looser binder or wear thicker clothing until they get the surgery. They shouldn't be asking people for money and using self inflicted injuries as a reason
It makes sense because they're identical. They used to be one egg (or one person) and when it split they became two. I think that makes a lot of sense as to why they both identify this way and felt these feelings at the same age for a long time.
How are they non binary and trans? If they're trans doesn't that mean they identify with the opposite sex? (Legitimate question. Not meaning to sound rude)
this comment section is why we need comprehensive education in school for kids to learn about gender identity~ (for those who are confused and need a basic primer check-out the genderbread person, it's not perfect but definitely helpful)
How old are they (MK and Ash)? I'm just curious. I tried not to cry and squeal when Ash started talking about The Little Vampire. I am also a huge fan of the movie and loved it so much growing up. Personally, I feel it's an amazing, underrated movie that is wonderful and it means so much to me.
I love that their names are MK and Ash.. like I didn't think about it at first but it's basically MaryKate and Ashley (not making fun of them, I just thought it was cool!)
am I the only one confused on the pronouns? they and them are plural meaning multiple people, but they, see both multiple, call themselves they and them individually. it just doesn't make sense to me.
Hannah Cothran well sometimes when you're referring to someone and you don't know the persons gender, people usually use their. for example, if your friend told you they wanted you to meet a friend they made, you could ask "what's their name?" because you don't know the gender of the person. the word they can be used for both plural and for someone of an unspecified gender, it even says it in the dictionary. plus, who talks grammatically correct 24/7 anyways?
The twins are still feminine. So many youth in these vids change their body and dress style but you can still tell that they were born the sex opposite what they present themselves as. It's "The Emperor has No Clothes" and everyone just looks as thinks, "Well, if he's happy."
It's cool to see other trans twins! Me and my twin are both trans too (ftm). By the way I know identical twins where one is ftm and the other is cis female. I also know another set of identical nonbinary twins, but with almost all of the trans twins I have come across only one in the set is trans. It is more uncommon than you seem to think for both twins to be trans, even when they are identical. Not sure why that is, but it is more common for only one twin to be trans.
I've been reading some of these comments on here thinking, wow, some people really just weren't raised right, so rude. I thought they were pretty cool Ash and MK. I'm from Lansing too and I've never actually met any trans people yet. I need to get out more 😁
These two GIRLS are absolutely CONFUSED!!!!! It is so sad indeed. No Thanks to their PARENTS, what a HORRIBLE job you did raising your girls for HELL FIRE!!!! REPENT!!!!!!

I'd imagine it's similar in German, with er/sie/es. It's funny, English defies a lot of logic in its grammar in comparison to other languages.
Eileen Stevenson er/sie/es is the same as he/she/it there is a gender neutral word lol
Ah fair enough!
never seen a bowl cut look good until now.
"people always think twins copy each other"
*chooses MK and Ash as names*
MK. and Ash. Mary Kate. and Ashley.
i noticed how much they said the word "like" and i couldn't watch it anymore.
I hope someone soon invents a new pronoun instead of they/them haha. I have non-binary friends but still watching this I was like "oh so how many people were in the bathroom?" lol
Julia Caroline I have no idea what you said could you clear it up.
i was so confused

Thanks Leigha!!

Mustaches are great but your eye brows are hard not to stare at.
It is really cool that they both got to go through everything together. I imagine that support system was huge for them!
This makes me so happy! Both me and my identical twin are also transgender and I felt so unvalid?? Because i had never met other trans twins
That's so awesome!!
what an amazing story you both are so brave and inspiring! btw totally diggin the vibe/styles you got wishing you both all the happiness❤️❤️
How are they trans and non-binary ?? Not being rude it's a serious question 😂
Adriana Fontanez transgender only means that you do not identify as the gender you are born with ;)
no transgender means that you are transitioning or want to transition from the gender you were born with
Michelle Bergquist isn't that transsexual
transgender means that you want to transition to the opposite sex not just because you don't identify with the gender you were born with. hence the term trans. to say the latter is really destructive to say. so they aren't non-binary. they are trans. or faking all of it.

when mk says "in our mom's tummy" tho. so cute 😍
I’m not that surprised that they’re both trans, but it is surprising that they’re both non binary/use the same pronouns/identify the same way 😮😮
"Remember how we are both trans?" Lolll i like them
you could do a drinking game with this 😂 everytime they say "like" you need to drink a shot 😂
When they were referring to each other as "they" I was confused af. I kept rewinding, thinking they had added someone to the story, and I'd missed it.
this is really interesting for me to watch as an identical twin myself!! i identify as nonbinary, but my twin identifies as a cis female. unlike mk and ash, my twin and i were always opposite, her always leaning towards the femme and me leaning towards the masc. it's really interesting to think about this on a biological and psychological level when it comes to identical twins. thank you for sharing!!

Nastassja Taborn like
I love seeing this and knowing this is in LANSING TOO JUST LIKE ME!!😍 love the love!
"They" and "them" only gets confusing cuz it's plural
abby x it's both plural and singular
*****
actually it is singular
*****
actually it's singular and plural, while it does refer to multiple people it also refers to a single person
Phan Is My Sexual Orientation i suggest you open your damn eyes. they/them has been used to refer to people whose gender was unknown for ages. you gonna go and tell facebook that it needs to take an english class because it refers to people who haven't set up their gender as "them", too? get your head out of your ass

I tried coming out as trans when I was 10 and my mom won't believe me so I'm stuck can anyone help
So sorry you are going through that. I hope you can find other people around you who DO believe you because your feelings are legitimate. Don't give up!
What do you mean I still have time
I'm 11 now but I tried counseling and they didn't help me at all that's why I'm trying to get help from someone who has experience with being trans

This video really changed my opinion on transgenders and really opened my eyes... It's not that I wasn't accepting its just I didn't really realize how much they really weren't who they truly were
That's so awesome to hear!!
What is up with Ash's hair
their connection was really there I guess from a young age. There's something so spiritual about twins.
The mustaches..............
that group hug was the sweetest thing ever
How the heck the remember what they wore when they were two? I could barley remember yesterday.
me and my twin brother are both trans and it makes me unbelievably happy to know we're not the only ones.
Maybe someone here can clear this up for me. Do trans folks consider sex and gender different things?
AstralBliss everyone should think of "sex" and "gender" as two different things. They aren't the same
Ok, we've established they are different. So why do trans people get offended when you call them by their sex? I'm not misgendering them. Im positively sexing them. AstralBliss also. if you are misgendering someone please don't tell them you are referring to their sex. kindly say sorry and fix their pronouns.
Why is it wrong to refer to someone by their sex? Just curious
You guys are amazing I will be definitely donating to MK&Ash
They seem like great people, but like I really feel like the style is just not bringing out their potential
Just another grab for attention.
what do you mean by that?
Honestly, it makes sense that they are both transgender. Idk why I think it’s not strange.
If you are breaking ribs because of binding, don't do it. No matter how body dymorphic you say you are, you aren't being forced to bind by anyone, I mean seriously.
Infinity Roza you obviously don't understand how gender dysphoria works lmao
kit Um yes I do. I said, they can be body dysmorphic but if it is causing them "extreme" physical complications then they shouldn't bind that much
+Infinity Roza it's so hard mentally not to bind, that it makes physical damage worth it.
Rowan King it's always an option kid. It's a piece of fabric, it's not part of your body 😂 get your head out of the sand
It makes sense because they're identical. They used to be one egg (or one person) and when it split they became two. I think that makes a lot of sense as to why they both identify this way and felt these feelings at the same age for a long time.
Damn they're wrecked lol

How are they non binary and trans? If they're trans doesn't that mean they identify with the opposite sex? (Legitimate question. Not meaning to sound rude)
this comment section is why we need comprehensive education in school for kids to learn about gender identity~
(for those who are confused and need a basic primer check-out the genderbread person, it's not perfect but definitely helpful)
In sorry I hate Ashe's hair
Trista Dickerson ikr 😂😂
How old are they (MK and Ash)? I'm just curious. I tried not to cry and squeal when Ash started talking about The Little Vampire. I am also a huge fan of the movie and loved it so much growing up. Personally, I feel it's an amazing, underrated movie that is wonderful and it means so much to me.
They are 20. Haha, it is a great movie!
Is this satire?
lol i wish
No this is Satanism. It was funny.
iHectic why ?
They're style is SO interesting, they seem like such cool peeps.
they were better looking before they transitioned
kerri920 eh I think they look p hot now, but at the same time it doesn't matter because they're probably a lot happier and more comfortable now
kerri920 it doesn't matter, their happier now
Ash? More like MUSTACHE am i right? Okay i will shut up now XD
i mean they r just girly guys. no disrespect
Skankhunt42 not really lol
Skankhunt42 not, they're nonbinary
Skankhunt42 thank you for this comment
It's okay, it was really confusing to me too in the beginning. If you use it frequently or see it often, you'll get used to it after a while.
The twins are still feminine. So many youth in these vids change their body and dress style but you can still tell that they were born the sex opposite what they present themselves as. It's "The Emperor has No Clothes" and everyone just looks as thinks, "Well, if he's happy."
But why? Can't we just be male or female
Kkk no
C•H•U•Y why not ? mind your own damn bussiness
Dude I wish I had a twin to be trans with
the they pronouns they are using is reeeally confusing to keep up with. i keep thinking they're referring to multiple people
alie_ amare me too
It's cool to see other trans twins! Not sure why that is, but it is more common for only one twin to be trans.
imagine being their parents yikes
SharlieGrl Id love for them to be my parents not saying I don't love my Mom and dad but yeah
Why the 'yikes'? Parents should love their children regardless of what they identify as.
Thank you for the support!!
StephRants for real
SharlieGrl it would be wonderful to have any children at all! people are so beautiful!! how do people comment things like this I'm CONFUSED 😰
They are seriously the only people I've ever seen that also love (and even know of) the little vampire
I've been reading some of these comments on here thinking, wow, some people really just weren't raised right, so rude.
I thought they were pretty cool Ash and MK. I'm from Lansing too and I've never actually met any trans people yet. I need to get out more 😁
"I can very vividly remember being 2 years old..."
No.
I'm a afab non binary too!!! I'm so glad other people are going through the same things.
No. You're a moron
I'm taking all of my fashion inspiration from this video tbh
These two GIRLS are absolutely CONFUSED!!!!! It is so sad indeed. No Thanks to their PARENTS, what a HORRIBLE job you did raising your girls for HELL FIRE!!!! REPENT!!!!!!
