    Anyone notice the first kid tries to check if it's loaded. Even after he was told it is fake he still checks (doesn't just assume he wanted to make sure). That's a kid that has real gun safety, and everyone should learn from that.

    This technique is one that I use to gain the attention of youth who are incarcerated. After gaining their attention, I go on to give them hope and tell them my story.

    Sir, Thank you for your comments and service through law Enforcement. This is but one technique. I have trained Law enforcement and military personnel for over 25 years. I would not try a disarm at an extended distance I would use my side arm and gain the tactical advantage through cover and use of necessary force. Please view other video I have. BE safe, Be smart and live with a small ego, it will keep you alive. - Semper Fi, Victor Marx

    When I gave my life to the Lord, I noticed that I had freedom from all of my wrong decisions in my life and I was able to forgive those who hurt me deeply. A true follower of Christ has a relationship with God and it is not simply a religion. I talk to him daily through prayer, meditate on his Word (the Bible), and he helps me navigate this crazy world. I encourage you to "go all in" and give God your life. (Part 2 of 3)

    Hello Mr. Marx,
    My name is Joshua Cranmore. I am from Chattanooga, Tn and currently in Atl, Ga. I recently ran across a UA-cam video titled the fast gun disarm. I clicked to watch and was amazed but that's not why I'm writing. After about a minute in I realized that not only are you a martial artist which is one of my passions ( been training Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 6years) along with guns, but you are a minister I believe. I grew up with Jehovah's witnesses on my moms side and baptist on my dads side. My whole life I have been torn on religion because my mom side would say dads religion is false religion and vise versa so I just never went to either. You seem to be the kind of person that is right with the lord that I have been looking for. You have inspired me to try to find God in my life. I believe in God and I prey and talk to him but I don't attend any church. I guess I'm just wanting to thank you for opening my eyes to the possibility's and to ask if the is one of you ministries here in Ga I could attend, thank you for your time and God bless.
    Sincerely
    Joshua Cranmore

      Clutch 83 Hi Josh . Don`t forget to read up on some science on your journey , so you know that when people tell you that Noah`s Ark was real ,and evolution isn`t a fact , you are able to make an informed decision as to whether to believe them . PS That gun disarm was cool . I like Mr Marx Regards ILZ 5th Degree Taekwondo

      I've been in martial arts since I was three, tae kwon do until he closed down when I was ten, now tang soo do with the WTSDA. It took nearly a decade to get a black belt (in tae kwon do studio shut down about a week before testing and an average of 5 years in WTSDA) it is the greatest choice I ever made to join so many years ago.

    • @ilikezappa
      @ilikezappa 9 років тому

      Depends on the Theology . It is a bit of a mixed bag . Providing you accept that Science clearly establishes that evolution is a fact , the Earth is billions of years old , there was never a global flood , no evidence of supernatural intervention has been recorded , Jesus doesn`t love you ,and when you die , you come out of a worm`s arse , your theology is going to match the observational data. Doesn`t mean that wasn`t a slick disarm however . I would not care to spill his beer .....

    Watch closely. Before he disarms, he also readjusts his glasses. So, when he reaches up the same way the second time, he catches the guys naturally off-guard. I am impressed by his speed and accuracy, but this is a canned situation. I have serious doubts about whether this is a practical solution to a real world scenario.

    • @SnakZ
      @SnakZ 10 років тому +11

      notsophil he disarms the one guy and push the gun on his back away with his back at the same time moving
      so ur right he didnt get off line but he moved the line. This would not work if the gun was higher up or the gun was on the other side of his back or maybe if one of the guy was using the other hand lol so yeah it can work but you better make sure everything is set up just right for it to work lol in the end if it did fail he would sill have killed the 2. and taken a hit to his side. That far low would have not done much to him in and out hit

    • @Killerwalrus234
      @Killerwalrus234 10 років тому +10

      ***** That's also assuming their reactions are as fast as physically possible, and that they react the exact moment he goes for the gun. There are other factors too.

    The goofy little noise and squirming motion he makes before the disarm is actually necessary for that move to work. The enemy is distracted by seemingly non-threatening behavior and is disarmed before he can react.

    I will never understand you internet trolls. Frankly, I'm not going to waste my time & energy on trying. It was a demonstration for Pete sake. The purpose was in the verbal content not the demo. Of course, there are so many things anyone could nit pic about the "moves". There is mindset, circumstance, intent & countless other facets to a true violent encounter.
    If some of you feel like you have to tear someone else down to build yourself up perhaps you should take a look at why that is & address it.

    Most Christians don't realize the techniques he's using (Aikido) rely mostly on the attacker's actions... it's a pure defensive art. You have to make an aggressive motion toward the person for most of the techniques to work.
    Christ taught pacifism but never said to lay there and take a beating or be murdered (in line with traditional Jewish teaching).
    With Christ it is to be peaceful and non-aggressive but should one be attacked or witness an attack on others, they have every right to use whatever force is needed to stop that attack.
    "Let him who is without a sword sell his garments to buy one" remember that from Matthew? I can name a dozen other scripture on self-defense.
    Victor Marx is one of those "been there, done that, fought my way out to tell the story" kind of people. His teachings of self-defense are valued and should be respected and learned.
    There is nothing "Christian" about being a victim!
    Backing you all the way brother Marx!

      @LukeJLB 10 років тому +1

      I like Matthew a lot, it gets really good right around 5:39.
      You're not wrong, but you're also not correct. Pick nearly any verse in the Bible and there's one that contradicts it. It's not bulletproof, it was written by men. If God's out there, he'll treat us like adults. I don't believe that we'd be spoonfed through a convenient little book in every motel nightstand drawer. Religion and spirituality are a far deeper experience than an ambiguously-worded instruction manual.

    • @ericx777
      @ericx777 10 років тому

      @Luke LB You are correct, sir. That's why you look beyond the Bible/Torah and look to nature... does the Gazelle simply lay down and accept death when a Cheetah attacks or does he run and fight back if caught? What if ancient man had simply given in to any and all predator attacks... would we have evolved to this point?
      Self-preservation is instinct #1. It's the "fight or flight" instinct and no intelligent animal on this planet simply lays down to die when attacked... we either run or fight back.

    I love his education on disarmament. I liked the video. Guns aren't normally used at close distance; although there are an infinite amount of possibilities. Usually, if there is someone pointing a gun at you, they know the distance benefit of having the weapon. That being said, show a video on how to carry your own weapon in defense of an attacker; I feel that is much more useful and appropriate to deter an attacker with any weapon.

After a while, the need to express myself through a well placed side kick, round house, uppercut whatever diminished as I realised with this skill came responsibility. And then Jesus also came into my life, and provided me the answers to the many questions I was seeking. God bless you Victor and hope to see you in Australia one day

  • @Octopussyist
    @Octopussyist 11 років тому +1

    Hi Victor,
    you are very good at keeping the gunmen's minds occupied by talking or doing something else, the moment you make your move. If you can do that in a real situation too, it might even work. It is a bit like "pattern interrupt" in hypnotism. Who can't should not even try!
    I like it a lot that you show simple finger locks. Most instructors don't. (I do ...) They are so easy and therefore so efficient.

    I'm not an overly religious man, much like many of the people on UA-cam. I did grow up as a child of divorce, in a Catholic household some days, and a Baptist household others. What it's taught me is there's probably something out there, and, in many ways, all religion is flawed. Religious wars are proof of that.
    What I really came here to say is pretty much the same thing as Whoneedsvids; you're an expert in your field, I am amazed by your work, and I have the utmost respect for you.

    • @SkezZHD

      Its true what you are saying but think about this, most criminals have their guns onto your head and touches you with it, like holds it onto your face or onto your back to scare you. And when they do that if it was a guy that knew how to disarm them good like this guy would have more of a chance to do it. I mean ofc it wont work on everyone so i mean if you see the oportunity that you can do it without getting killed you could do it, but the best thing to do is to give them your money.

    OK everyone, I'm not sure if showing a couple of my professional resume quotes, will help calm down a few thousand of you out of the 1.4 million views. We really do appreciate most comments, but I would like to reiterate, I use these entertainment techniques to gain the attention of folks , this is not real training. I would not ever post for public viewing what I had the privilege of training some of the finest warriors in the world. God bless each of you and I hope you will watch my film on youtube to find out who I really am. Regarding my tactical H2H, The following men will attest, there is a whole different non- public side of me, we prefer to keep private.
    "Recently he [Victor] walked into a conflict area of Burma and helped to train our Free Burma Ranger ethnic humanitarian relief teams. His humility, faith, humor, world class speed, fighting skills, and back ground as a U.S. Marine, created instant credibility and rapport. His humor, humility and honest sharing of his life experiences and the tragedies he has endured, creates an instant bond with those who have suffered.”
    - David Eubank (Maj. R. 2/75 RGR, 1st Special Forces Group (A); Founder, Free Burma Rangers
    "Victor Marx comes with my strongest recommendation. He is an exceptional martial artist and trainer. His techniques are practical, efficient, fast, and deadly. In my opinion, he teaches a superb system for combat. In over 30 years of service, mostly with Rangers and Special Mission Units, and having been taught a myriad of combatives and H2H techniques, Mr. Marx’ abilities and teaching methods surpass any I have seen. Victor Marx is a true warrior and combatives instructor and any military unit would benefit from his instruction and techniques."
    - Sergeant Major Greg Birch, U.S. Army (Ret.), Service included 75th Ranger Regiment and the 1st SFOD-D, SM of Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG)
    "Victor is an subject matter expert (SME) and instructor in Hand to Hand combative and edge weapons for special operations forces. I recommend Victor for any work with conventional, insurgent and native military/para-military forces.”
    - Jeffery Strickland Ph.D, LTC (Ret) Professor at West Point Military Academy,
    Author of Mathematical Modeling of Warfare and Combat Phenomenon
    "Despite everything he endured he continued to press forward, to fight, to persevere. I am a better man for knowing him and I am thankful to count Victor Marx a friend and a brother.”
    - Senior Chief David A. Hansen, Navy SEAL

      Ashraf Salim Late reply, but a lot of that was indeed aikido. Namely the finger lock and the time where he flipped the guy over (I do jiu-jitsu, I don't know the names for that XD)

      +Victor Marx Good control, speed, very Chow-Yun Fat like. He's actor from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, but most of his movies were Kung Fu gun movies. Anyways, you're very good at what you do. The only criticism I can give you, and it might be based off of bad camera angle. However, if you're honest with yourself, you'll know if you're making this mistake, or not. Most American's, including Asian American's like me, also a martial artist, we twirl a sword with a our hand semi-open, and it's likely, because we saw it from some sword fighting movie, but it's incorrect to twirl a sword like that. You want to do the same thing, but with your hand closed. It doesn't seem like it's doable at 1st, for most of us, until I saw real old school Filipino Escrima, and Kali Masters, do it with both their sticks, and swords. It makes sense, because there's less of a chance that you'll accidentally lose your grip, and it's less likely that your opponent will see recognize this mistake, and try to take advantage of it. Once you twirl your sword, Kendo Stick, or Kali Stick, if your hand's loose, your opponent, especially the Kali fighter, will knock it out of your hands.
