The movie really got the reveal of their deaths better than the book did. The book spaced them out, gave us time to digest one tragedy then the next. The movie just devastates us with Fred's death and then shows that Tonks and Lupin died too. Like a sadness double whammy
The book was so much dramatic compared to the movie the movie just throws it in your face and kinda ignores it like no one even says “no Fred!” In the scene so you literally don’t know who it is that died which I count that is disrespectful. I read the book before the movie so I knew it was Fred who was laying there dead but my sister who ddI read the book literally asked me “that’s bill right?”
"Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the ghost of his last laugh still etched upon his face." - The Deathly Hallows Fred and George are the comic relief throughout the Harry Potterseries. When everything in the wizarding world gets as dark as it can possibly get, the twins are always able to provide much-needed laughter. The two understand the power of comedy amongst all of the darkness and their choice to open up a joke shop in the middle of the horror surrounding them is perhaps the most necessary relief in the entire series. The fact that the Weasley twins represented such a positive source of light throughout all eight films is what made it so difficult for fans to grasp Fred's death. How will George go on without his one true partner in crime? The thought is almost too much to bear. Yet according to Dumbledore, happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light. Fred always remembered to turn on the light.
I don't think people take notice of just how much Mcgonagall cares about Harry. If you go back and watch the movies she was stern with him at times, but almost always treated Harry with respect and kindness and grew to truly love him. In *_Sorcerrer's/Philosopher's Stone_* she was the first to recognise Harry's potential In Quidditch and complemented his ability to defeat the Troll in the girl's bathroom, In *_Goblet of Fire_* she was the only one who didn't look onto Harry with confusion or disgust when his name was called for the Tri-Wizard Tournament and in this movie she not only stood with Harry against Snape, but also amongst all the death and destruction around her in this scene, she still tries to walk over and comphort Harry and Harry alone.
Also, in the DH books, when Amycus Carrow alleges that Harry tries to break into the Ravenclaw tower, McGo answers something like "Why would he try to? Potter belongs to my house!" and she sounds so proud that Harry feels touched and grateful. Edit: and when Voldemort claims Harry is dead, Minerva utters such a dreadful scream that Harry is shocked to hear she could make such a sound. Obviously her scream was filled with sorrow and pain. Yes she cares, and she always did.
Fun (Sad) Fact: A lot of people think Ginny was more distraught by Harry’s death then Fred’s but actually even tho she didn’t show it she was more distraught by Fred’s. You could see her just standing there like she’s paralyzed she was most likely in shock
@@trueblue6201tbf her character was badly scripted and directed for much of the movies. But I also agree that she isn’t the strongest actor. Some scenes with Ginny make me cringe. She’s waaaay better in the books.

Tonks and Remus' death always made me incredibly sad for a number of reasons, mostly because of their son, because Remus had finally gotten a glimpse of true happiness and his life after the war could have been so much better and Tonks wasn't even supposed to be at the battle but she decided to go and find Remus
Yea Tonks was extremely weak from giving birth to Teddy but she ended up going to Lupin and what I found really sad was that Remus And Tonks where the closest thing to parents or family that Harry had left

Remus was and always has been my favourite character. As soon as I read about him my heart was filled with warmth. When I read this scene in the book I was crying my eyes out. 😔💕
And the sad thing is that she planned for him to survive. Rowling originally was going to have Arthur die from the snakebite in Order of the Phoenix, but then she realised that Ron would become a much darker character which would completely throw off the trio’s dynamics, and the Weasleys wouldn’t be a safe haven for Harry any longer. So she decided to spare Arthur but in exchange she killed Remus

Well, Umbridge spent the rest of her life in Azkaban for her crimes during the Death Eater regime, so there is that, even if the prison is likely more humane since the reformed Ministry stopped using Dementors. Though I think if anyone in the series deserved a Dementor's Kiss, it was Umbridge.
I cried so much while reading the book during Fred's death. I can't help it. The twins are delightful characters. Even while watching this I can still remember the words written by JKR about the scene. 😭

Why Fred?
That just broke my heart
Romana Naqvi That’s exactly the point. If no one loved Percy, his death would have been useless. With Fred, it’s much much much more emotional, therefore we really see how cruel this battle was.
Rupert is an amazing actor in this scene! You can hear the anguish in his crying as he looks at Fred!!
Meanwhile, James is literally just sleeping through this whole shot-
I want to laugh but I can’t stop my tears

I can never get through this scene without crying. Seeing Ron crying over Fred's dead body is just heartbreaking.
Let’s face it, this wasn’t recommended.

I feel incredibly bad for Harry here.. you can tell that he feels responsible for everyone who has died but it was not his fault 🤍

The movie really got the reveal of their deaths better than the book did. The book spaced them out, gave us time to digest one tragedy then the next. The movie just devastates us with Fred's death and then shows that Tonks and Lupin died too. Like a sadness double whammy
Nah Book did it loads better
POW right in the kisser
The book was so much dramatic compared to the movie the movie just throws it in your face and kinda ignores it like no one even says “no Fred!” In the scene so you literally don’t know who it is that died which I count that is disrespectful. I read the book before the movie so I knew it was Fred who was laying there dead but my sister who ddI read the book literally asked me “that’s bill right?”
Tonks and Lupin were the most heartbreaking to me, seeing them positioned like that.
@@peabean8755 You cant just blame the movie. Maybe your sister is dumb.
"Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the ghost of his last laugh still etched upon his face." - The Deathly Hallows
Fred and George are the comic relief throughout the Harry Potterseries.
Rony's crying in this scene is so devastating to hear, OMG.
McGonagall is a great role model for all teachers
She's a baddie💅🏾
Harry is a child without a mother. Mcgonagall is a mother without a child.
And in the movies when Harry was planed to be a bait for the death eaters she said
"Potter is a boy, not a piece of meat!"
You could see her just standing there like she’s paralyzed she was most likely in shock
yeah its almost as if her brain shut down to protect her
Or her actor just sucks and didn't portray any sadness that she was supposed to
@@blackrose8418Your lack of knowledge and experience is showing.

The way George hugged Ron broke my heart into a million pieces
Tonks and Remus' death always made me incredibly sad for a number of reasons, mostly because of their son, because Remus had finally gotten a glimpse of true happiness and his life after the war could have been so much better and Tonks wasn't even supposed to be at the battle but she decided to go and find Remus
Yea Tonks was extremely weak from giving birth to Teddy but she ended up going to Lupin and what I found really sad was that Remus And Tonks where the closest thing to parents or family that Harry had left

All of these people try their very best to comfort him.
Nothing will be the same again for this young man, who just lost his twin brother and best friend/companion in an explosion.
It may not have been as emotional as it was in the book, but Fred's death was still portrayed well in the movie.

When they filmed it Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) had to leave because he couldn’t stand watching his brother pretend that he was dead.

What really got me was seeing harry looking at lupin that broke him the last remaining closest thing to family he had left. I can't imagine the pain harry felt losing his parents, Sirius, Dumbledore and now lupin
It's sad but remember, he still has the Weasleys. Molly said it herself, he is as good as family in her eyes. I'd like to think after the events of the war, Harry goes and lives with the Weaselys for a while before he becomes and auror.
Imagine all the teachers seeing them self’s outlive their students 😭. Imagine professor McGonagall seeing Remus and Fred, two of her most mischievous student, dead. Imagine professor sprout seeing tonks, a student that belongs in her house, dead. 😭 😭

In the books, fred said you can wear anything at my wedding, turns out he never had one..:(😭😭😭

WHYD SHE KILL FRED OFF BUT NOT UMBRIDGE :( still mad about it
Well, Umbridge spent the rest of her life in Azkaban for her crimes during the Death Eater regime, so there is that, even if the prison is likely more humane since the reformed Ministry stopped using Dementors. Though I think if anyone in the series deserved a Dementor's Kiss, it was Umbridge.
