He knew that someone had betrayed the Order (Snape) so there was a possibility that someone could have killed or kidnapped Harry and the Death Eaters were spying on the Order. Therefore, Remus asked Harry a question that only he and Harry knew the answer to and that the Death Eaters wouldn't think to interrogate out of Harry

+CharLiix31 Yeah, because Hedwig has been dedicated hundreds of hours and pages of development by the author to make us sooo invested in that character. One thing that was cut from Snape's memories was that in the book, it was revealed that Dumbledore told Snape to give Voldemort the correct date of Harry's departure in order for Snape to remain useful enough (and increase his chances of being appointed headmaster by Voldemort so that Snape can secretly protect the students). Second was that the Seven Potters plan was Snape's idea to confuse the Death Eaters, he used a Confundus Charm on Mundungus and ordered him to suggest the idea to Moody, making it sound like it was Mundugus's idea.
Snape also saved Lupin’s life here as revealed in his memories (at the expense of George’s ear) but even so. Wish this detail, as well as many others, would have been portrayed in the movie.
George - *mumbles* saintlike.. Fred - Come again? George - Saintlike.. i'm holey.. I'm holey Fred.. Geddit? Fred - *smiles* The whole wide world of ear related humor and you go for 'I'm holey?' Pathetic. I swear I love these two :3
why not The reason his ear was hit and bleeding like this, is because in the book Snape was part of the battle, and while trying to hit a death eater he accidentally hit George with the Sectum Semparag spell
I wish they had used the book explanation of Harry using expelliarmus. I felt it really added to Harry's character, the fact that he'd rather disarm someone than kill them is what sets him apart
That's true but everyone knows and uses Expelliarmus. It's not like Snape and Sectumsempra. Even though I know what JK was going for in the book, it just seemed a bit contrived especially since it was Stan and not someone else who was at the Graveyard when Harry uses Expelliarmus against Voldemort.
It was someone who was at the graveyard or at least heard about it. It's not Stan who alerts anyone. Harry disarms him and immediately one of the other Death Eaters freaks out and they all pull back. The reason it was so significant that Harry used Expelliarmus is because at that particular moment it was a pretty impractical spell. It would've been much easier to simply use Stupefy or some other spell that would surely kill the Death Eater. It's also an incredibly basic spell and Harry was well known among the Death Eaters for being crazy enough to try a non-lethal spell against Voldemort.
harry killed 3 death eaters in the battle of the 7 Potters , the scene was to show that he wasn't willing to kill civilians even if they were under the imperius curse and attacking him
Can't imagine how it must have felt for Harry...he wanted to help them but he wasn't allowed to, not even knowing if his best friends are alive. And Ron and Hermione don't even know if Harry is safe. I really like that hug.
Did any of you knew that Severus Snape was part of the battle? SHOCKER!! He was the one who shot George Weasley in the ear, on accident. He was meant to hit the death eater who was about to shoot at Remus Lupin, but missed. I feel really bad for George and Snape. I forgive you Snape.

+ellenkingsley i know that in the book he was double but from what you tell that barely makes sense, you saying that because snape missed he saved remus and geroge life how did he same them if the deat eater missed who tryed to kill remus to begin with miss?
caitlin james funny because in the books it was Phineas Nigellus who said that. Im happy the movies gave that line to Kingsley tho. It suited him much better
Ok so u know how Molly has her line of, "Not my daughter, you B**ch!" , which shows her fierce protectivness over her children, well I wish we got Aurther's line when he gets back to the burrow after the battle of the seven potters, "I'll prove who I am, Kingsley, after I've seen my son, now back off if you know what's good for you!" This, just like Molly's line, really proves how he will protect and love his children till the day he dies. Man, I love the Weasleys! (other than Percy, am I right?)
Identical twin humor is the pinnacle. I knew a pair of identical sisters years ago and some of the shit they would say or do to each other just straight up killed me.
That's moments like this one that make me feel even more depressed because of Fred's death. I've always been loving the twins for their sense of humour and their keen taste for pranks, but even in darker times, even when a situation seemed hopeless, they ALWAYS managed to get the best of their circumstances, to crack jokes and relax the atmosphere. Looks like they were everyone's rays of sunshine. Ugh, these two were too good for this world.
Only thing wrong with this scene imo is that they skip out one crucial line. Arthur shouts, "I'll prove who i am, kingsley, after ive seen my son. Back off, if you know whats good for you". Harry notes it was the first time hed ever heard arthur shout like that. Takes away from the emotion. Such a stoic, calm, peaceful man loses his composure when his sons lifes on the line. A shame it isnt included
The movies really did deprive us of a lot but this scene was great. One of my favorite Remus/Tonks moments. The way Lupin dives for the door when they hear someone’s arrival, his look of relief when his wife shows up unscathed, their embrace, etc. A beautiful couple who really should have had more moments together. Wish the movies would have devoted just a bit more time to them, their marriage, Tonks’ pregnancy, and Teddy’s birth. The scene in DH where Lupin and Harry have an altercation at Grimmauld Place would have been especially interesting to see. And I would honestly love an entire book or tv series dedicated to Tonks and Lupin one day. I do love the things JK Rowling wrote on Pottermore a few years ago expanding upon their relationship. But there were so many missing moments from the HBP and DH movies that I wish had been kept in. Love the scenes where they’re in the background with each other though (i.e. at the Dursley’s and Bill and Fleur’s wedding).
I think Percy and Charlie were the only lucky ones, though Percy did get brainwashed by the Ministry and refused to come back until near the end of the 7th book.
+PhebusdesTours probably they though putting Charlie would be just like adding a silent extra, he didn't have much worthy story in the book though. Not really when compared with Percy disavowing his family and how Bill's Fleur was really annoying to the whole family at start.

one gets trapped in the chamber of secrets one gets poisoned one loses their ear one dies one gets attacked by a werewolf one isn't shown on screen one is attacked by a snake
I love the pause before Lupin asks Harry that question, it shows he’s thinking of a question that only Harry would know the answer too, it’s not immediate. Idk just makes it more realistic I guess
2:18 breaks my heart 💔 An on-screen moment of father and son love, one of the last few they'd share They were so pleased and relieved they'd made it back, for Fred to then have a brief moment of utter terror worrying something had happened to George. The same terror and heartbreak George soon felt, however not briefly.
Remus didn't even need to say a word before Fred took off running into the house. Even Arthur -Their father!- didn't realize until after Fred had disappeared off screen. ;^;
Fred’s voice when he responds to George sounds exactly like this amazing guy I met studying abroad and I will never not flash back to those moments when I watch this 💕
My sister hurt her leg really badly and she could harsly walk and was brought home, her friend helped her get home. when me and my mom got there she asked "where's Krissy?" Wylene was silent, I ran to Krissy the exact way Fred ran to George
I always think about how the son of the actor that plays Mad Eye has to deliver the line that his father’s character has died. It’s like a half-Sith rule. Only one Gleason may be in a Harry Potter film. No more. No less.
My favorite parts of this are the moments Harry has with Ginny and then with Hermione and Ron. You can clearly see that Harry wants to touch or hug Ginny when he arrives but he feels like he can't and then when Ron shows up he lets Hermione hug him first and then envelops both of them in a hug because he is so happy they are safe.

Tonks and Lupin is just ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Exactly 💙💜
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am obsessed with their relationship! ❤️❤️❤️
Frrr💙
The music during the Ron and Hermione moment is like the score out of an old romantic Hollywood movie.
thanks to Snape Remus and George are still alive Snape meant to aim for the Death Eater who tried to kill Remus but missed and hit George from the Order's point of view Snape betrayed them
+ellenkingsley i know that in the book he was double but from what you tell that barely makes sense, you saying that because snape missed he saved remus and geroge life how did he same them if the deat eater missed who tryed to kill remus to begin with miss?
Tord L I literally read that message like 20 times I’m ngl because it took me ages to get my head around😂 I think I get what you mean
Kingsley is just perfect!
Remember when he said "Dumbledores got style." I was like "Hell yeah.."
caitlin james funny because in the books it was Phineas Nigellus who said that. Im happy the movies gave that line to Kingsley tho. It suited him much better
@@caitcait2003 Actually it was Phineas Black who said that.
@@caitcait2003 ameen
i love lupin and tonks
Like , sooooo much !
You have to give Percy credit for managing to come back around after everything, especially considering he was on the track to becoming Fudge Jr.

This scene was much better in the movie. Movies are always better. Much better
I love how Fred just knows something’s not right and runs straight into the house without waiting for someone to tell him....
@2:21 The way Fred and Arthur side hugged in relief to make it back. I love the Weasley's bond with each other.
Hermione didn't have to wait for Ron to regain his appearance. she knew it was him
I love how Harry lets Ron and Hermione have their moment before hugging them
Even in the darkest moments of the story, Fred and George never stopped injecting humor when it was needed.
I'm so sad Remus died also did you notice how rough he looked on the last two films compared to the third?
Did he die irl too?
@@amazingabby25 Don't worry, David Thewlis is still alive.
"I reckon I'm still better looking than you"
George Weasley, everybody
Identical twin humor is the pinnacle. I knew a pair of identical sisters years ago and some of the shit they would say or do to each other just straight up killed me.
That's moments like this one that make me feel even more depressed because of Fred's death. I've always been loving the twins for their sense of humour and their keen taste for pranks, but even in darker times, even when a situation seemed hopeless, they ALWAYS managed to get the best of their circumstances, to crack jokes and relax the atmosphere. Looks like they were everyone's rays of sunshine. Ugh, these two were too good for this world.
I love that the moment fred knows that something is wrong with george he straight away runs inside to see if he's ok
bill just ruined the fred and george moment
Lol
"Saint-like - I'm hol(e)y" - even if one of them is heavily injured, the Weasley twins can still make jokes :)
But also remember Lupin and Tonks would have known she was pregnant so he'd would have been worried for his wife and baby
"By the way, wait 'til you hear the news--"
"There'll be time for a cozy catch-up later!"
@ElhriFreak what the hell why
Bill just came in like "the fuck y'all lookin at? That one dude with the crazy eye is dead btw daaaamn what happened to bro?"
Booshowthezombies
when you say it that way it's even funnier that moody is bills dad in real life
The Fresh Prince of Burrow Air
It's adorable at 2:27-2:28 when everyone is silent about George that Fred goes running for the house to find his twin!!!
2:15 GROUP HUG!!! the trio are back together again.
+Jalen Bridges SNL ?
What? I don't get it.
Ok seriously that part where Harry runs up and hugs Ron and Hermione is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen and I smile every time I see it
3:34 George’s face when he Learned that Madeye Moody was dead he knew for a fact that it could’ve been him. 🥺
I actually loved Remus in this scene. So much emotion. EPIC acting
A shame it isnt included
this whole scene is robotic. book had way more emotion
The expression on remus's face at 2:24 when he realised how hurt is Fred gonna be seeing George like that is ine of the greatest details.
The Weasley twins started off with all 4 ears then ended it with only 1. 😥
😢😢😳
Thanks now I'm gonna go cry..
Love the scenes where they’re in the background with each other though (i.e. at the Dursley’s and Bill and Fleur’s wedding).
one Twin gets Crippled and the other one dies thats bad luck there
I think Percy and Charlie were the only lucky ones, though Percy did get brainwashed by the Ministry and refused to come back until near the end of the 7th book.
Btw I was pretty pissed off they "forgot" Charlie in the movies.
+PhebusdesTours probably they though putting Charlie would be just like adding a silent extra, he didn't have much worthy story in the book though. Not really when compared with Percy disavowing his family and how Bill's Fleur was really annoying to the whole family at start.
The twins care so much about each otherFred runs to Georges side when shotGeorge names his son after fred when Fred dies
1:09 I love how Ginny’s just watching in the background 😂
She's just like "wtf is life"
The golden trio hugging each other. BEST SCENE. Pls like
No
It was definitely more profound in the books when Hedwig and Moody died during the ambush. oh, still love these movies.
As soon as I heard Bill say: "Mad-eye's dead" I opened my mouth in shock and cried. 😢
But why is George's voice so hot omg
I know
Remus: "What creature sat in the corner the first time Harry Potter visited my office?"
Harry: "I don't know sir they cut out that scene"
Remus: "Avada Kedavra"
😆
Are you mad?
WHAT CREATURE?!
who else was dying while harry ran to his two best friends for his hug, i can only imagine being scared for all of them but ron and hermione have been through everything with him. :,)

Ummmm does Bill not notice that his younger brother just lost an ear?
guess not...
What's funny is he's more focused on mad eye being dead instead of his own brother
Bill was worried about his real life father
XD so true they made a mistake in the movie lol though it is sad that mad-eye died )': guess he already noticed but was too distressed by mad-eye's death that he couldn't process it I guess. T^T
@Pizza Pen It couldn't be mended when it's cursed off with dark magic, at least in the books.
one gets trapped in the chamber of secrets
one gets poisoned
one loses their ear
one dies
one gets attacked by a werewolf
one isn't shown on screen
one is attacked by a snake

I love the pause before Lupin asks Harry that question, it shows he’s thinking of a question that only Harry would know the answer too, it’s not immediate. Idk just makes it more realistic I guess
2:18 breaks my heart 💔
An on-screen moment of father and son love, one of the last few they'd share
They were so pleased and relieved they'd made it back, for Fred to then have a brief moment of utter terror worrying something had happened to George.
The same terror and heartbreak George soon felt, however not briefly.
My favourite line on Harry Potter: “Why do you live Harry Potter?” “Because I have something worth living for!”
Where does he say this
0:36 He looks like Cedric over there :p

Remus didn't even need to say a word before Fred took off running into the house. Even Arthur -Their father!- didn't realize until after Fred had disappeared off screen. ;^;
The book said " Well why aren't you checking me? and " Because polyjuice potion doesnt work on giants."
*half-giants*
In the movie was Moodys idea.
In the book was Snapes idea
Fred’s voice when he responds to George sounds exactly like this amazing guy I met studying abroad and I will never not flash back to those moments when I watch this 💕
Lupin: "What animal was in the room when we met!?"
Harry: "I don't know that was four years ago!"
Lupin: "Avada Kedavra!"
the way fred ran to george is the way i run to food
Haha the way I run to my fridge.

Ginny’s “what are u doing” WAS TOO CUTE, SHE CARES ABT HARRY A LOT ITS HONESTLY ADORABLE
when Harry rushes over to hug Ron and Hermione... :')
“The last words Albus Dumbledore spoke to the pair of us.” “Harry is the best hope we have, trust him.”
There should have been so many more of these Remus and Tonks moments!
*The way harry ran to ron and hermione and hugged them, was just so cute*
Apparently it was Snape who hit George after he missed an actual death-eater who was trying to kill Lupin/George
I love how Harry instead of running to Ron with Hermione was like ‘ya know what, let them have their moment. Then I’ll join.’
