Yes, that's very powerful scene. They all had to grow up so fast. It was mere year ago that Hermione and Lavender disliked each other over Ron. Now, they are fighting for their lives. And Lavender is very likely dead.
The book line is really powerful as well (I'm paraphrasing a bit, probably) Harry tried casting a patronus but couldn't. All he saw was death, until the patronuses of all those he taught in DA soar overhead, and with the most effort it had ever taken him to, he summoned his stag patronus.
You really have to commend Aberforth for that Expecto Patronum. They say that a lot of adult wizards and witches have trouble pulling it off and that was a mega one, done by one wizard.
Skyrim and Skulduggery Pleasant it wasn’t by one wizard, the books are completely different, but if your only talking about this scene in the MOVIE, then Aberforth conducted the patronus charm with everyone in that scene (Seamus, Priti, Ginny, Shacklebolt etc.) not just Aberforth
My biggest tribute for all those Hogwarts students stand for their school. They're just a kids OMG, yet has no fear to fight against the Death Eater. I cannot imagine hows the feeling of Colin Creevey parents knowing their son died in the world they have even never see😭

In Deathly Hallows the giants partnered with Voldemort (not all of them). There could be trolls there too, but the giants were the ones who made a Alliance with Voldemort, as the centaurs tried to remain neutral, but ended up helping Hogwarts (after Harry's fake death)

I love the choice of the three characters casting spells to defend the school. Filius Flitwick, an accomplished professor who had been reduced by Umbridge to nothing more than his height. Horace Slughorn, a famous socialite, and a coward who had failed. Molly Weasley, the homemaker, who's family was scorned. But in that moment, they are the musician, the mogul and the mother, united in defense of the most precious thing we have. Our children's future.

I really enjoy the big spells. Seeing what a collective of casters can do when focusing power to a single goal. Was super glad to see more of it in the fantastic beasts storyline.
What I really wanted to. See in this movie was Percy yelling “ hello minister , did I mention I’m resigning? “ but we would’ve seen Fred’s death too and I just wouldn’t be able to stop crying.
I have always loved the begin part of the scene. The music, the facial expressions, the words transfered, and the gravity of sacrifice is beyond inspiring and very morale boosting. Almost makes you wish you could join them if it weren't for it being a movie. Most beautiful and impressive scene.

This entire sequence of calling the statues and producing the shield in the movie was so great. It felt like it truly was happening, that Hogwarts was to be besieged and that this was Hogwarts last stand in the movies. It’s so chilling.
i love how they show flitwick feeling a moment of pride for the insane power of his collective school, and then his heartbreak when he remembers why they have to use the spells
I remember watching this scene in the movies with family. Even my aunts who hasnt seen some of the movies jaws dropped during the war. Cousins were quiet as hell. I could feel the intensity in the theatre, the total silence gave me goosebumps, I knew everyone was on the edge of their seats. The feel and passion of young boys and girls fighting along their parents, freinds, and teachers to protect what they loved. Goose bumps from head to toe!! I wanted to be in that battle.. I wanted to fight for somthing I loved!
I love when little prof flitwick... Cuffs his sleeves.. And with utter confidence puts the spells to protect Hogwarts. It's like irrespective of his size.. He will put up d fight and do his bit.. Unfraid of even Voldemort

I was 9 when this came out. And one of my greatest regrets is the I didn't get to watch this on the theatre 😭. At that time I didn't know anything about Harry Potter except that it is something huge. And then I discovered it few years late at the age of 12 and I'm so sad I didn't know it any sooner😭😭

Probably the best scene in all the films, the music gives me the emotions. I'm actually thinking of getting the protection spell they use to protect Hogwarts as a tattoo with an owl above the words.
If only they included moment in battle, where Mcgonagall threw tables at death eaters and she was described in books at that moment "her hair was undone and there was a gash on her cheek". That would be somewhat minor but instantly iconic moment
I dont know if many people noticed but i love this detail from the movies, in this scene we can see the main threats weve seen the trio fight out from the first three movies, first we see the giant which resembles the first movie, then we see the spiders which come from the second movie and lastly we see a werewolf and the dementors which is from the third films i never noticed until i watched a video and i loved the detail.
As epic as the battle was, it was genuinely so incredibly heartbreaking that so many children had to fight for their lives and die over something they should have been protected from. Even if it was mostly by choice for many of them, it did not make it any less tragic. As a kid when you read how few slytherines were willing to fight you looked down on them but as an adult you completely understand where they were coming from and frankly that were completely justified. They were just children for goodness sake. Not wanting to fight in a war at 15-17 did not make you a coward and it was horrible how devastating the situation was that the teachers were desperate enough that they HAD to make that tough decision to allow the final year students to join if they wanted to
All the themes in this movie are unique and magical. But it is this particular one that is different. It is spicy but the feeling of sadness is the only thing that persists
It was so satisfying to see all the members of Dumbledore’s army and The order of the Phoenix fight against all of Voldemort’s forces until the very last they fought bravely and valiantly. I will admit I felt really sad that poor Lavender brown died so quickly because Greyback didn’t even convert her into a wear wolf 🐺 he just kills her and it’s sad because you can see her lifeless body sitting there. After all these years everyone has had enough of Voldemort’s Tyranny and is willing to die to free everyone. I love how Flitwick still says You Know Who and Minerva being the badass she is says “but we can still hold him back, and his name is Voldemort Professor Flitwick , you may as well use it as he is going to try and kill you either way”. I also love the moment were she uses the spell to bring the statue guardians to life and she says the line “I’ve always wanted to use that spell”. Ik it doesn’t happen in the book but it’s still a nice moment for her nonetheless as it shows the much kind hearted ness of Minerva, who I wanted to become Head Master after Dumbledore died anyway as I saw her as a worthy successor. Snape of course was put as head master as a puppet for Voldemort (until we later find out he was helping them all along). Ik JKR is now being shunned and shamed for her Biggest, offensive and transphobic views (I don’t support them at all as I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community) but I still can’t help admire the beauty of her books and films. They represent something beyond JKR the story was never about her it’s what we make it it’s our special story that inspires us to keep on living to do and achieve great things. Don’t let anger and rage consume your heart and soul, learn to let go, love and forgive in kindness. Xx

This entire sequence of calling the statues and producing the shield in the movie was so great. It felt like it truly was happening, that Hogwarts was to be besieged and that this was Hogwarts last stand in the movies. It’s so chilling.

I remember watching this scene in the movies with family. Even my aunts who hasnt seen some of the movies jaws dropped during the war. Cousins were quiet as hell. I could feel the intensity in the theatre, the total silence gave me goosebumps, I knew everyone was on the edge of their seats. The feel and passion of young boys and girls fighting along their parents, freinds, and teachers to protect what they loved. Goose bumps from head to toe!! I wanted to be in that battle.. I wanted to fight for somthing I loved!

I love when little prof flitwick... Cuffs his sleeves.. And with utter confidence puts the spells to protect Hogwarts. It's like irrespective of his size.. He will put up d fight and do his bit.. Unfraid of even Voldemort
Funfact: Kingsley Shacklebolt, Horris Slughorn and Minerva Mcgonnagal were fighting Voldemort together and them alone made him shudder
What? No it didn't where in the book did it show that voldemort was scared of all of them. If you actually read the book you would remember that he knocked them all aside which is when Harry faced him.

I was 9 when this came out. And one of my greatest regrets is the I didn't get to watch this on the theatre 😭. At that time I didn't know anything about Harry Potter except that it is something huge. And then I discovered it few years late at the age of 12 and I'm so sad I didn't know it any sooner😭😭

If only they included moment in battle, where Mcgonagall threw tables at death eaters and she was described in books at that moment "her hair was undone and there was a gash on her cheek". That would be somewhat minor but instantly iconic moment
I dont know if many people noticed but i love this detail from the movies, in this scene we can see the main threats weve seen the trio fight out from the first three movies, first we see the giant which resembles the first movie, then we see the spiders which come from the second movie and lastly we see a werewolf and the dementors which is from the third films i never noticed until i watched a video and i loved the detail.

As epic as the battle was, it was genuinely so incredibly heartbreaking that so many children had to fight for their lives and die over something they should have been protected from. Even if it was mostly by choice for many of them, it did not make it any less tragic. As a kid when you read how few slytherines were willing to fight you looked down on them but as an adult you completely understand where they were coming from and frankly that were completely justified. They were just children for goodness sake. Not wanting to fight in a war at 15-17 did not make you a coward and it was horrible how devastating the situation was that the teachers were desperate enough that they HAD to make that tough decision to allow the final year students to join if they wanted to

One of the most memorable moments in harry potter
It was so satisfying to see all the members of Dumbledore’s army and The order of the Phoenix fight against all of Voldemort’s forces until the very last they fought bravely and valiantly. I will admit I felt really sad that poor Lavender brown died so quickly because Greyback didn’t even convert her into a wear wolf 🐺 he just kills her and it’s sad because you can see her lifeless body sitting there. After all these years everyone has had enough of Voldemort’s Tyranny and is willing to die to free everyone. I love how Flitwick still says You Know Who and Minerva being the badass she is says “but we can still hold him back, and his name is Voldemort Professor Flitwick , you may as well use it as he is going to try and kill you either way”. I also love the moment were she uses the spell to bring the statue guardians to life and she says the line “I’ve always wanted to use that spell”. Ik it doesn’t happen in the book but it’s still a nice moment for her nonetheless as it shows the much kind hearted ness of Minerva, who I wanted to become Head Master after Dumbledore died anyway as I saw her as a worthy successor. Snape of course was put as head master as a puppet for Voldemort (until we later find out he was helping them all along). Ik JKR is now being shunned and shamed for her Biggest, offensive and transphobic views (I don’t support them at all as I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community) but I still can’t help admire the beauty of her books and films. They represent something beyond JKR the story was never about her it’s what we make it it’s our special story that inspires us to keep on living to do and achieve great things. Don’t let anger and rage consume your heart and soul, learn to let go, love and forgive in kindness. Xx
