You really have to commend Aberforth for that Expecto Patronum. They say that a lot of adult wizards and witches have trouble pulling it off and that was a mega one, done by one wizard.
Skyrim and Skulduggery Pleasant it wasn’t by one wizard, the books are completely different, but if your only talking about this scene in the MOVIE, then Aberforth conducted the patronus charm with everyone in that scene (Seamus, Priti, Ginny, Shacklebolt etc.) not just Aberforth
what i love about this is....Hermione is the one who attacks greyback who is attacking lavender...and aberforth has such a strong happy memory that he can use it for a patronus after having a a miserable life...
Yes, that's very powerful scene. They all had to grow up so fast. It was mere year ago that Hermione and Lavender disliked each other over Ron. Now, they are fighting for their lives. And Lavender is very likely dead.
The book line is really powerful as well (I'm paraphrasing a bit, probably) Harry tried casting a patronus but couldn't. All he saw was death, until the patronuses of all those he taught in DA soar overhead, and with the most effort it had ever taken him to, he summoned his stag patronus.
Remember watching this for the first time in cinema in 2011 and this scene, when the statues fall to the ground, literally gave me chills. And I also cried a bit. Such a masterpiece
My biggest tribute for all those Hogwarts students stand for their school. They're just a kids OMG, yet has no fear to fight against the Death Eater. I cannot imagine hows the feeling of Colin Creevey parents knowing their son died in the world they have even never see😭
You kind of can't blame the stupid muggles from centuries ago from wanting to burn witches and wizards. I am not excusing them, but I understand their stupid fear of the unknown. Kind of like the same ways Soviets and Americans were united and aimed their metal weapons to the Mutants in X-Men First Class.

when im reading this part on the books, i literally got chills, my hands were shaking while turning the pages for the next scenes, how order of the phoenix came, harry's old quidditich team, the weasley, lupin's, the D.A and other students waiting to fight at the great hall, hagrid's brother, aberforth, and the trio finding horcrux 😭😭😭
I love how the older background characters like Molly and Arthur Weasley REALLY showing what their magic can do, especially Aberforth's Patronus! R.I.P to the lives lost to save Hogwarts💛

I love the choice of the three characters casting spells to defend the school. Filius Flitwick, an accomplished professor who had been reduced by Umbridge to nothing more than his height. Horace Slughorn, a famous socialite, and a coward who had failed. Molly Weasley, the homemaker, who's family was scorned. But in that moment, they are the musician, the mogul and the mother, united in defense of the most precious thing we have. Our children's future.
I have always loved the begin part of the scene. The music, the facial expressions, the words transfered, and the gravity of sacrifice is beyond inspiring and very morale boosting. Almost makes you wish you could join them if it weren't for it being a movie. Most beautiful and impressive scene.

This entire sequence of calling the statues and producing the shield in the movie was so great. It felt like it truly was happening, that Hogwarts was to be besieged and that this was Hogwarts last stand in the movies. It’s so chilling.

I remember watching this scene in the movies with family. Even my aunts who hasnt seen some of the movies jaws dropped during the war. Cousins were quiet as hell. I could feel the intensity in the theatre, the total silence gave me goosebumps, I knew everyone was on the edge of their seats. The feel and passion of young boys and girls fighting along their parents, freinds, and teachers to protect what they loved. Goose bumps from head to toe!! I wanted to be in that battle.. I wanted to fight for somthing I loved!
As epic as the battle was, it was genuinely so incredibly heartbreaking that so many children had to fight for their lives and die over something they should have been protected from. Even if it was mostly by choice for many of them, it did not make it any less tragic. As a kid when you read how few slytherines were willing to fight you looked down on them but as an adult you completely understand where they were coming from and frankly that were completely justified. They were just children for goodness sake. Not wanting to fight in a war at 15-17 did not make you a coward and it was horrible how devastating the situation was that the teachers were desperate enough that they HAD to make that tough decision to allow the final year students to join if they wanted to
I was 9 when this came out. And one of my greatest regrets is the I didn't get to watch this on the theatre 😭. At that time I didn't know anything about Harry Potter except that it is something huge. And then I discovered it few years late at the age of 12 and I'm so sad I didn't know it any sooner😭😭

What? No it didn't where in the book did it show that voldemort was scared of all of them. If you actually read the book you would remember that he knocked them all aside which is when Harry faced him.

I remember watching this scene in the movies with family. Even my aunts who hasnt seen some of the movies jaws dropped during the war. Cousins were quiet as hell. I could feel the intensity in the theatre, the total silence gave me goosebumps, I knew everyone was on the edge of their seats. The feel and passion of young boys and girls fighting along their parents, freinds, and teachers to protect what they loved. Goose bumps from head to toe!! I wanted to be in that battle.. I wanted to fight for somthing I loved!

As epic as the battle was, it was genuinely so incredibly heartbreaking that so many children had to fight for their lives and die over something they should have been protected from. Even if it was mostly by choice for many of them, it did not make it any less tragic. As a kid when you read how few slytherines were willing to fight you looked down on them but as an adult you completely understand where they were coming from and frankly that were completely justified. They were just children for goodness sake. Not wanting to fight in a war at 15-17 did not make you a coward and it was horrible how devastating the situation was that the teachers were desperate enough that they HAD to make that tough decision to allow the final year students to join if they wanted to

I was 9 when this came out. And one of my greatest regrets is the I didn't get to watch this on the theatre 😭. At that time I didn't know anything about Harry Potter except that it is something huge. And then I discovered it few years late at the age of 12 and I'm so sad I didn't know it any sooner😭😭
