I was just trying to figure out what the difference between the timer on off button and the bake time button is. There is also a start time button. I was hoping that one of these buttons would be an auto shut-off countdown so that I don't overcook what I am baking, but I cannot get a clear answer? Ha

Hi there! Your range or stove model number may vary, but it is most commonly found in one of the following locations: either along the interior side trim of the oven, visible when the door is opened, or on the front frame of the storage drawer panel, visible when the drawer is opened.
Good day! Thank you for dropping by! Unfortunately, the unit doesn't have a lock feature on our electric range while baking. Please know our design and engineering teams are constantly monitoring our brand pages for feedback and experiences, such as yours, for future reference.
Hello! Preheating an oven is the process of letting it get hot before you place your food inside. Simply turn on the oven and set the desired temperature. Your oven should display the internal temperature to tell you when it is preheated. You may visit your owner's manual.
@@Frigidaire the process takes longer than 20 minutes that’s stated in the manual. And cooking takes longer than recommended. I haven’t found anything in the manual to answer my question.
Just got a new Frigidaire electric stove. I turned the oven on and see there is a vent for smoke to come out where the stove top is. Is this normal? Is there a way to bypass this. Unfortunately did not notice when purchasing.
Hi there! Thank you for dropping by! Yes, it is normal for the oven light to turn on automatically when the oven door is opened on most electric ranges. This feature is designed to provide illumination inside the oven cavity, making it easier to monitor the cooking progress of your food or check for doneness without needing to manually turn on the light. The automatic oven light function is a convenience feature commonly found in modern electric ranges and is intended to enhance the user experience by providing better visibility while cooking.
Hi there! It sounds like your electric range might be in a mode that keeps the oven running or the timer active even after you’ve finished using it. Here's a general approach to ensuring it is turned off: Please be advised that this may vary depending on the model. If your oven has a control knob for temperature, turn it to the "Off" position. If your oven has an electronic control panel, press the "Off" button. This is usually labeled as "Cancel," "Off," or sometimes "Clear/Off." Ensure that any timer or delay start features are turned off. Press the "Timer" button and then "Cancel" or "Clear" to stop any active timers.
@@teriryan3830 Correct! Standard bake will use just the heating element on the bottom of the oven - depending on your model, it may be visible or underneath the floor. If you have an Air Fry range, both the broil and bake elements (as well as the convection element and fan on the back wall) will be active during Air Fry mode. ~Ashton
Hello! Every range is a little bit different. Some of them have a dedicated Start button and some will activate a feature just from pressing that button! If you're confused on how to activate some of your settings, we would recommend following the Owner's Manual for your model. If you don't have one, let me know your model number and what instructions you're looking for! I'd be happy to help you further! ~Ashton
Is there a trick to opening the cooktop to find the model number? Or a method, or an approach?? I can't begin to move it, so hopefully there is something I can learn that will allow me to find that necessary number.
Its so confusing leave it on so that I can relax while my chicken is in the oven and I come back to check on it, it turns itself off. So much time wasted
Good day! We sincerely apologize for the issue that you have encountered. If your thermostat is in working order, there may be an issue with your oven's ventilation. Poor ventilation can cause the heat to build up to the point that the oven overheats and causes the thermostat to trip, again cutting out your oven in the process.
