I've been doing that on my channel as well. I use ultra fine permanent marker, though. It's easily wiped off with hand sanitizer and a microfiber cloth. It's hard to smudge as well. I create my own theme pages because the Happy Planner system doesn't have pages I'd personally go for.
Fairly new subscriber, I've been using a planner for 2 years now and have grown bored with some of the old planner content I originally fell in love with but your channel has brought me joy and rejuvenated my desire to get creative.
I didn't even know there was such a thing as wet erase markers. All I ever see is the dry erase. So I stopped by Office Depot after my dental appt today and got some, along with some grid paper. I'm going to try and make hourly pages in a weekly spread, because I need a 24hr day setup, rather than a day that begins at 7am or whatever. I work graveyard and my off days are not consistent. I get confused trying to figure out when I should be day-sleeping as preparation for a night of work etc. Makes my head spin sometimes. So far my planning attempts have been quite, ummmm, rustic, shall we say? LOL I'll focus on "pretty" once I get some bumps straightened out. I really enjoy your channel and all the tips and inspiration you provide. 👍🏻
If you trim the pre-laminated page on the left the same amount as the lamination. In other words the page is the same size after lamination as is was before you cut, then the holes line up.
I bought the Amazon Basic laminator and love it. I also cut off the punched side then punch the lamination and it holds up very well. Love your videos, very inspiring.
Why not cut off the punch edge then leave an edge of clear laminate and punch through that so then you’re not messing up the part you actually want to write on?
So, still cut off the part of the paper that is punched, but leave a wider margin of laminate. When you punch it would only be through the laminate, no paper, and it wouldn't mess with what is on the paper...if that makes sense.
Is there a list somewhere of all the sticker books, planners, and happy notes published each year, or something similar? I have laminated along the edge and left the punched edges just outside the lamination. It has been ok so far.
Does Erin Condren have a punch? I'm impatiently waiting for my very first academic planner. Never seeing one in person I'm excited to be able to add my personal touch to it. I have a cricut, laminate, minc. I am running out of time before school starts Monday lol
With the heated lamination on a single sheet of paper, you can cut right next to the paper (or even through the paper) and the lamination won’t come undone! It won’t be waterproof any longer, though.
Great idea! I also watch for if you decide to sell just your lettering. I'm a big fan of you and want to support you but I'm just not such a big fan of the yellow and black in your box. I'll keep my eyes open though for your products. Thank you. Love your videos.
I can’t get my Mambi punch to punch with the laminate. It’s getting stuck. I’ve had my punch for a long time..maybe it’s dulled? I used the 3mil setting when I laminated it. (I bought the Scotch laminator)
Hey, not Heather, but it absolutely does, especially as you keep planning (I've been using HP for at least 3 years now). Focus on the corners of boxes and use tweezers (like eyelash tweezers) for tiny stickers-- they're true game-changers. If you like the technique, some people pre-plan on wax paper (an idea from a fellow planner). Try it out and see if you like it. Happy planning :)
Why don't you trim just a part of the edge off before laminating? Like, if you want an eighth of an inch of laminate around the page, trim off an eighth of an inch of the paper, then laminate. If you're precise, you should be able to line up the punch with the existing punches. :)
If you cut off just a little of the side with the holes before you laminate you can line it up perfectly. :)

What a great way to create a page that is used over and over! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️
So much better that way Heather! Even if the holes don't perfectly line up- you won't notice once it's in the planner :-)
Such a good idea
LOVE IT!!! What a great idea. Especially the bookmark ❤
Can there be a LOVE button cause seriously I LOVE this idea!!
Thank you for this! I don't have a laminator but I could probably do something similar with a sheet protector.
my life in moderation or you can buy laminating sheets that self seal. No laminator needed.
@@ckametria oh nice! I didn't know that existed, thank you! I just dismissed all laminating possibilities since I don't have the machine for it hahaha
Great video. Thanks. Love the day-of-the-week stickers. Just made me more excited to get my box!
You r so creative thx for the ideas

Have you tried the Amazon pouches? I havent even bought a laminator yet, but I just wondered if the brand of pouches matters at all.
@@elysecoil3588 On Amazon I bought the Scotch 8.5 x 11" 100 TP3854-100
I have that one and the pouches and LOVE IT!
This is a really good idea! I like it a lot!

I like it to punch on the paper too because it makes it more durable on the discs. That's why I normally cut off the punched edge.
@@kellofaplan makes sense, I wasn't sure how the laminate would hold up. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

i WISH HOPE AND PRAY that you soon offer your sticker pack as a item in like your etsy shop or something. Id like to order just that multiple times.
I was wondering if you could put washi tape over the punched side, laminate and then repunch? Or would it make it too thick? 🤔
Does sticker placement get easier?
