Risk is actually a European Game, released first in France 1957 as La Conquête du Monde (The Conquest of the World), and Scotland Yard isn't strictly a cooperative game, it is a one verse all game.
The last three board game's my buddies and I really enjoyed playing within the last eight or so years (as well with their expansion's) are: Ghostbusters: The board game Castle Panic Boss Monster I'm planning on picking up Hero Quest if I can find it
