I absolutely loved my 2022 lunar rock colored Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, it was my dream truck! HOWEVER, I returned it 1 week ago from the day I'm writing this comment because I didn't want to be a victim of the engine failure. Yes, yes I know Toyota will replace the engine for a brand new one under warranty. BUT the technicians that replace the engines don't care enough to do a factory finish work therefore the truck in my opinion will never be like day one with regards to how you get it from the factory with the proper factory spec'd finish. Even though I adored my dream truck I made the difficult decision to return it and get a 2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road instead and I'm loving it. I think if people are buying a Toyota truck they're going for the Tacoma. I see those everywhere. I live in Colorado and I'd say the top 3 vehicles are Jeep Wrangler, various Subaru models, and the Tacoma.

Not forgotten. Dealerships sold out of these fast at first. But I test drove every full size pickup in 2023 (besides the titan🤢) and I liked the tundra the most. I really liked the 14” screen and the power in the tundra. It felt nicer than the competition and the interior was nicer to me. I just liked it a lot more. So I left ford. I love my tundra. I'm curious what Ford you owned. I have 21 Ecoboost and it will eat the Tundra for lunch in terms of speed and power. I do love the look and interior of the Tundra. Just was looking at one today
Toyota is by far the worst looking ... Horrible grill, worthless rear bumper, lots of wind noise, horrible fake engine noise, rear tailgate shuts like a 1970 chevy, wireless charger sucks, sea of plastic inside.... the ram blows it away inside
Couple of things that keep me from buying a Tundra (even though I live in San Antonio); 1. One of the main reasons I’d want a 4x4 truck is, down here, it doesn’t rain often so when it does roads are as slick as green owl sh*t and the Ford and Chevy/GMC 4x4s have a 4 Auto setting you can use in slippery conditions at highway speeds- the Tundra only has 4 Hi and Low and can’t be used on highway; 2. I’d want the TRD Pro but it’s a lower volume production spec- most dealers have 1-3 on the lot- Toyota doesn’t do custom orders and so the dealers all do markup.
Toyota has had their mechanical issues recently and they still charge a mint for average vehicles. There's a class action lawsuit against Toyota here in Aus for continually selling cars with faulty engines. My 2019 Camry has had a new transmission replace last year and let me tell you, it was hell because Toyota would not cover the cost even though it was under warranty. I'll take the Raptor thanks.
How is this thing on 33s and has a slower 0-60 time than a Raptor on 37s?? My local Toyota dealer put 35s on a Tundra TRD Pro, front steel bumper, and the truck now runs @ 12-13 mpg on the highway....Meanwhile, my Raptor 37 cruises at 19-21 mpg highway @70 mph....Not a hate comment, just surprised to see Toyota's engineering hasn't caught up to Ford's.
I own a Gen3 Raptor I have driven nothing but Raptors since they first came out and I actually stopped at a few lots in metro Detroit area that had TRD pros in stock and everyone I saw was more then the 75K I paired for my Gen3 Raptor. If it was cheaper this would definitely be a truck to compare to a Raptor but the suspension on this is no where close to the raptors if the price was lower. These are good looking trucks tho
Great review. Not really a Toyota fan. Am a Ford. But I did buy my first Toyota, the 2023 Tacoma because F150s have jacked up their price way too much, it's not even justified. It was just to make up the lost during covid year(s). I am very happy with my Tacoma, however, for a smaller truck (body wise) it uses more gpm than my previous F150 ecoboost 2.7. I get it, it's because of the 3.5 engine probably, right? That's where the F150 ecoboost was better. Without the lost of power, because of the supercharge engine.
Two things that stop me from buying a new Tundra. The ridiculous high price and no V8. If they had a V8 available I would consider a base 4x4 and upgrade it with aftermarket products to make a pro. But the high price is too much.
Hate to break it to you but in 10 to 12 years, there will be no V8 half ton pick up trucks; everything is going towards what Toyota did with the gen 3 Tundra which I own. I had a 2021 TRD Off-road and I traded it in for a 2023 Platinum Tundra last April; I definitely prefer the new one.
@@mcuthor338110 to 12 years I’ll still have my 2020 V8. And gas stations will be here as well unless you live in California. This EV revolution thing is falling flat on it’s face because people are not buying these electric tonka toys.
I just looked at Fords and Toyotas today. The not exciting XLT was was roughly the same msrp as the Tundra Limited TRD that I looked at. With the depreciation that the Ford will have it was a no brainer for me. I didn't buy yet. Might go in tomorrow.
80k isn’t horrible when compared to the domestics. Problem is, no one pays the sticker price for a domestic. I haven’t heard of anyone paying anything less than sticker (or close to it) on one of these. That and the 5-7% finance rates from Toyota vs. promo rates that the domestics offer makes this a non-starter for most.
Yup when the fan boys crow about resell value they forget that they paid a lot more in interest and sales price upfront. Maybe that's why the domestics don't hold their resell value since a new can be had for a good deal 🤔
Have my 2024 platinum trd off road for 5 days..it's alot different than my rebel, but I think I should have gone with the trd pro. This truck is fast with the imax hybrid. I wonder if I can trade it back for the pro....
I love the new tundra.... but did he just say the 3 inch letters on the dash are nice? And that they have room behi d the seat? I would love this truck for 50 grand but 80 to 90 grand?
You can now get the Limited with most of the TRD Pro's hardware. I wish they would offer the full-time 4-wheel option for the Limited, as they do with the Tacoma Limited and 4-runner Limited. I prefer the Limited over the TRD Pro because you can get the Limited without the hybrid and thus have that storage space under the rear seat. Plus, you can now add all the off-road stuff to the Limited package.
In my opinion the tundra is a truck that you keep forever compared to the other 3 bc most if the time in us with newer fords you keep them for 3-5 years pay em off and trade it in.
I have kind if wondered the same thing. Why don't these trucks, made right he in America get more respect. OK other than that. I just purchased the 1794 edition, with the TRD package and the Hybrid engine, in the Smoked Mesquite color. OMG this is by far the best truck, comparing it to the Chevy/GMC, Ford, and the Dodge. And even tho I got the 1794 edition...less money than the other 3 for comparable equipment. And get this. I have had (just sold my Ford F250 SD 1999 Lariat package to get this.) One of the best things happen to me just last weekend. As I was getting ready to get into my rig. There was another truck that was coming down the street (residential) and the guy hit his breaks hard and pulled up even with my truck. And he zipped down his windows and ask, 'Is that your truck?' I told him yes it was, and he said that this was the best looking 'Toyota' truck that he had seen. He said he had even owned a couple of different Tundras in the past. I said thank you amd we proceeded to talk the truck talk for a few minutes. To the video...I fo agree with you, they are a great looking truck. And will admit that the 1794 edition interior is what set the hook in me but the color and the HP of the Hybrid engine is what sold me on this truck. IT has more HP than what my 1999 Ford F250 with the V10 had. Way more almost 100HP more than a V10 in this V6. Damn! I love this thing.
I really like this truck. I have a 2017 inferno sr5. I bought it new. I can’t afford a new tundra now. They are getting to be out of what I’m willing to pay
Every truck is over priced but this is the only one worth it because it will out last all the big three for every Toyota tundra you will need 3 of their trucks lol
I owned a ‘23 Limited for a while and traded it. The MAX powertrain has good power, the hybrid system is very well integrated, it looks great, love the big 14” screen, JBL stereo is above average, and the platform is solid. But there is way too much plastic looking/feeling materials that look like something you’d see on a prototype, the fake engine noise gets a bit old, excessive wind noise, suspension isn’t refined, and just lots of rough edges that need finishing. By comparison, the big 3 just feel way more polished and refined. Not to say the Tundra doesn’t have a lot going for it, but they can, and should, do much better.
I’ve went to the website and built my preferences into the Tundra. The things that keeps me from being even slightly interested is the price and engine configuration. I went to the Ram site and built my preferences into a Ram 3500 with the high output diesel and it’s only $3k more. I can work the Ram but this tundra will not haul enough weight. It’s more of a cool parking lot truck. Looks good at stop lights and that’s about it.
How bad is the turning radius? I'm concerned that downtown Toronto parking lots will be off limits for this truck, both from a fit, maneuvering, and height perspective. It's limiting from that perspective.
So I own an F150 an height is the biggest issue. My truck is 6 feet tall (3-4 inches shorter than the truck in video) The Tundra shouldn't be to much longer or wider than my Ford. Just gotta know your vehicle and be prepaired to make 20 point turns. Plus the Tundra has a 360 degree camera system
I should add I live and work in down town Toronto. Know your height and just watch your mirrors / cameras. The biggest issue is always height. Turning radius isn't going to matter in these tight condo or office parking garages. I've even seen much smaller jeeps struggle with some parking garages.
I'm still confused how this channel hasn't hit a millions SUBSCRIBERS yet❤

I love my 22 Tundra Limited. I added the TRD pro filters for a little extra power and mileage.
Does the rear window go down?
There are two types of truck buyer. Those that will only buy Toyota, and those that refuse to buy Toyota.
VOTE: Tundra TRD PRO
I own a Gen3 Raptor I have driven nothing but Raptors since they first came out and I actually stopped at a few lots in metro Detroit area that had TRD pros in stock and everyone I saw was more then the 75K I paired for my Gen3 Raptor. If it was cheaper this would definitely be a truck to compare to a Raptor but the suspension on this is no where close to the raptors if the price was lower. These are good looking trucks tho
Awesome color ….
I've had five f 150s but no have gen 3 tundra TRD pro
@@mcuthor3381 there won't be any V6 trucks by then. Probably only 2 cylinder with 1 cylinder deactivation.
I dont buy tundra bec i dont have money. But if i have i would love to or should I say i definitely buy 2 of them
The best part is the engine recall
24s aren’t included in that recall. They caught it in early 2023
He said “Twinkies” I smiled ik he was talking about raiti’s rides😊
I want one of those greenish / sand color ones
80k isn’t horrible when compared to the domestics. Problem is, no one pays the sticker price for a domestic. I haven’t heard of anyone paying anything less than sticker (or close to it) on one of these. That and the 5-7% finance rates from Toyota vs. promo rates that the domestics offer makes this a non-starter for most.
To finance, I haven't seen an apr for under 9.49% .
I want one, but 50k+ is too rich for me.
Yup when the fan boys crow about resell value they forget that they paid a lot more in interest and sales price upfront. Maybe that's why the domestics don't hold their resell value since a new can be had for a good deal 🤔
I leased mine for a way lower payment and 0% interest
Have my 2024 platinum trd off road for 5 days..it's alot different than my rebel, but I think I should have gone with the trd pro. This truck is fast with the imax hybrid. I wonder if I can trade it back for the pro....
It's full of metal shavings 😊
Nice looking vehicle but it's missing sine of the off-road goodies that the tacoma has like locking rear differential.
This truck has gotten nothing but press since it's been out a yr ago
Does this truck have the digital rear view mirror?
Yes it does
Is it possible to import in Europe?
I will take my 5.7.... it works
Us Canadians won't pay for UA-cam Premium, so I guess that's your favorite Advertising group.😅
They don't get the press because they are so damn expensive.
Every truck is... this one is just fugly
good video! but you said you're in the 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited Trd Pro. the Limited and the Pro are two different trucks right?
For some reason, Toyota made it a package on the Limited truck in Canada. But yes, In the USA TRD Pro is a separate model.
@@ACCELER8TV oh! lucky you! still a great vid.
They pump sound via the speakers. Why it sounds good inside.
3:10 yeah we said that.
The TRD Pro has the upper control arm but it does not have the lower a arm to work together better
@Abdulrazaksabo you are SOOO RIGHT! I SUBSCRIBED not that long ago and I enjoy his videos very much. HIGH quality all around.
The Tundra took a shit when they got rid of the V8!
😭😭😭😭😭
I just bought a 23' limited yesterday uh oh
I agree... got a 24 for work but hated it and the thing you listed.... i gave it to my wife and got another Chevy
I have a 2020 Tundra V8 Limited but I still don’t like how these new ones look.
so is it tundra limited? or is it try pro?
In Canada the TRD Pro is a package on the Limited, in the USA it's a Trim.
“This is an all terrain mud tire” …what? Lol
Also, TRD Pro is a trim level, not a “package”. Great video though!
In the USA, TRD Pro is a trim, but in Canada it’s a package on the Limited Trim.
A beauty 😍
You must be blind🤣🤣🤣🤣
