I’m proud of all of you that you’re learning to ask for help! What helps me with guilt is imagining if I’d feel annoyed if my beloved friend asked me to help them with a task that’s hard for them but easy for me to do. I’d happily do that. And that’s how I’m being able to ease the guilt. You’re adulting and adults need help too. You’re doing great ❤

I actually like helping people and doing stuff together, so it's awesome when you can combine the two when it is something I can do and spend some time being productive while chatting or something.
But it doesn't work with everyone, which is why I don't ask people for help 😅 i need someone to just be there and sometimes tell me I am doing good 😛

If it helps any one I have a list called "3 things only". I start with a master list of everything I need to do, because if I don't write it down it will be forgotten, BUT I then take only 3 things from the list and write it into a separate list and just focus on those until I'm done. Then I go back to the master list and pick 3 more. My overwhelm comes from seeing too much at once. Same with laundry. Instead of trying to fold the entire mountain and then put it away I break it down in chunks by folding some until I run out of space, then put those away. Then I fold another chunk and so on.

Let's consider if there is some kind of higher power, in the sense that since time is an illusion and we can't prove it false, we most likely exist in a computer simulation. The real question, is there someone observing and occasionally interacting, or are we running in the background? Is free will real? If not, is my decision paralysis even real? What happens if I truly make no choices? Will I feel more or less stressed? Was my creation really random/gene fitness, because it's trash tbh, or was it an algorithm, or some higher power testing a theory about how many chronic illnesses a body and mind can handle before it fries or enters self termination mode?

man, this literally happens to me. not so much with written lists, but when people tell me the things verbally. it could be something so simple, like literally making the bed and brushing my teeth. but then it adds up. and up and then i end up like daniel😭🙏🏽

Oh my gosh, this is spot on. I have to write lists so I don't forget, because having it all buzzing in my head non-stop is overwhelming and debilitating. I also throw myself some freebies on the list to feel motivated. But then, once it's in list form, freezing up or doing random stuff is so so so real.

I didn't realize this video would hit me so hard. Daniel, your videos lately have been SO FRIGGIN ACCURATE and relatable, I'm literally crying over here! Like they're friggin hilarious. I'm crying from laughter and the deep dark depths of my soul as it relates far too well to this state of emotion (or lack there of) XD

Checklists would make me have mental breakdowns until I started writing time estimates down next to each task. Once I hit 8 hours total, 10 max, no other things are allowed on the list. Prioritization stage is next, and if I go over or under the alloted time, I mark it. Time gained and time lost are canceled until I have a net positive or negative number. If it’s net positive, the time gets put to another little task or to staring at the wall or playing video games or something else.
I still have yet to finish a list, but they no longer reduce me to dysfunctional tears.

and she still does it all the time. the brain is trying to do it all at once, OR inanely is trying to assemble the most streamlined order and it has to be PERFECT and even if it comes up with one, it's now a supertask that can take HOURS if not days. and it's too much and i shut down. ffs.
