- We commonly hear about 'classes' in Terraria, but what does that actually mean? MUST you pick a class in Terraria 1.4? What are the differences between each class? This video will introduce the concept of classes in Terraria and cover all 4 main types, which are namely the Melee or Warrior Class, the Ranger or Archer class, the Mage or Magic Class, and the Summoner class.

2:39 The main exception is Summoner Hybrid builds that consistently pull the highest DPS, since attacking with two sources of DPS at once is very powerful (Whips do low DPS by themselves.)
Summoner makes the best secondary/hybrid class!
Melee, ranged and mage all benefit from additional summons!

I'm planning a play-though of Terraria after 1.4.5 comes out where I beat the game with each class simultaneously. Each of 4 characters gets their own world only they can visit, but there's a 5th world where every character has a "mailbox" so drops and money can be passed between characters as needed. I hoping that helps it to not be too tedious lol

There are 9 magic weapons that shoot deadly lasers in this game.
While it's not as important as the primary summoners, there is one minor basegame mechanic omitted: Sentries
Sentries have separate slots (1 by default) and under most circumstances also a limited lifetime, but these stationary defenses can help with high damage, usually limited with their stationary nature and basically only getting a few non-endgame items to improve them without mods. They def can help support a Summoner however, as they share damagetypes and are clearly intended to work alongside em.
Agree, my endgame mage uses the rainbow crystal with last prims to preserve mana.

7:41 that's not entirely an accurate description. It's not that they destroy terrain sometimes but rather that you can choose ammo that works like that (although there are a few launchers that are an exception)

It annoys me that the best weapon in the game is melee it should’ve been a combination of all classes and used the best weapon of each class to craft
@@talkingweevil3172 its a possible idea if they ever will consider to add more bosses etc and expand terraria (wich i doubt it will happen) but hey one can hope and it would be cool

@@alessiostarnini14 I don’t think the game needs to be expanded for that cause it can just be one final achievement to feel good abt. Probably can’t remove zenith tho. Angry melee could come after re logic devs. I just want them to expand on what we already have like why in the world we don’t have a desert boss. The closest we have is the sand storm. The snow at least has deerclops. The desert temple should be changed to spawn in every world and now have a small boss room with a similar summoning mechanic as golem. I recommend a giant scarab with first phase being on the ground and second being flying. I’d say it should be a pre hardmode boss since pre hardmode is lacking in events and bosses and maybe make it as hard as wall of flesh so it’s almost like a duke fishron situation where if you are up for the challenge early game you can break progression but most will fight before wall of flesh or even in hardmode. Just a concept of course that probably won’t happen but I think it is a cool idea.

I've had the game since 2021, but I never really liked it because I was playing with a friend with 400h when I was discovering the game and I didn't understand anything. But a few days ago I tried the game again on my own and I love it. Already 20 hours of play with my new character!

Same but I'm sort of a beginner I like being a mage I defeated moonlord so I'm not much of a beginner but I started playing this game in the last couple of days in 2023 but you know it's not that hard beginners always start by playing on classic then upgrade there skills and test it in expert mode then finish it of by completing master mode

hey mr corn just wondering how many hours do you have on the game and also what clasifies as an expert at terraria in terms of hours
I don’t think hours really matter. More so knowledge on the game and amount of play throughs and experience. You oiled play the game for hundreds of hours but never beat the game and only know about one classes weapons.
@@talkingweevil3172 you know it takes time to gain experience right you can't just speedrun the game after downloading it for the first time and playthroughs also take like 20-60 hrs so i don't get your point
@@R3verse301 because no play through is the Same length. There isn’t a certain amount of hours if you want to be an expert I’d recommend playing all classes all the way through. A bunch of sub classes all the way through and master mode. Someone could have millions of hours but never have beat the WoF. Hours aren’t what makes you good.
@@talkingweevil3172 I have beaten the game using every class on expert and done a master mode play-through i have like 600 ish hours and pretty much know the best setups for each class at each stage of the game so i would call myself an expert and still really enjoy the game to this day. However i'm not insane at the game like some people who do nohit runs and such.
@@R3verse301 you should start doing insane subclass and other challenges runs. That will make you a master. But I think you are a expert for sure.

Its weird that early Magic weapon needs alot of Mana while in Endgame its need less Terraria needs logic Re-Logic.

On my first run I fought queen slime with full spider armor and I use both melee and ranged weapon for some reason(mage suckass so that's probably why I didn't combine it)
Mage is really good what are you talking abt… it has some of the highest dps

@@egg4956 I mean it’s not that much work to get mana potions you can just get them from merchant and then upgrade them the same as healing potions it’s just like getting ammo for ranger.

Ranger is literally the second highest dips pre moon lord. The low aggro also acts as extremely high defence in multiplayer. I’ve heard people say summoner,mage, ranger, and melee are the worst. So it’s clear that they are pretty balanced and it’s up to opinion.
